Great small-town pizza and pasta joint. I was so excited to have good gluten-free pasta (substituted tortellini for the ravioli that was on menu but still good and not mushy!). My side salad was unremarkable, but it was nice to have an option! Rest of group all cleared their plates too(spaghetti and meatballs with garlic bread and breadsticks and a gyro/fries)! Friendly service- they kept apologizing for being short-handed but for a Friday night we still felt they were super attentive and the wait was reasonable. They can't all be winners. Cute corner place, featuring lots of owners family vibe with some very sweet family pics. So what was at issue? Two things really, one is more preference, the crust. We ordered thin crust, but I would say it was more normal crust by most standards. The crust also reminded me of the kind that you get in the tube from the store and make at home so not really adding much to the pizza in my opinion. The second issue was the wait. We were dining in and waited for what seemed like forever for our two small ten inch pizzas to be made. While we were waiting, a party of about five next to us were served several pies, ate, drank, paid, got to go boxes and left, we were still waiting. Then apparently the pick up order rush came in. Again, about five people arrived for pick up, all were served, processed, paid, walked out with what I counted as approximately 9-10 full size pizzas between them. I guess after everyone else was taken care of they decided to work on our pies. The pie itself was ok. I ordered the bruschetta which sounded amazing but ending up being disappointing because they used dried basil spice instead of actual fresh basil. To be fair, there is a sign on the side of the building that states they are hiring all positions. I get it, the struggle is real. I see this a LOT in towns when I am on the road, so I feel you. Would I return to dine here? Most likely not. If you intend to, my advice would be to call in the order and pick up, that process seemed to at least be timely. read more

Do yourself a favor and skip this place! Pizza needs more sauce and cheese. Fettuccine with shrimp (if you can find them) is terrible.

Always stop in when I'm back in town for the pizza stix. It's pretty much a garlic cheese pizza with sauce on the side. Nothing special but I love it. Haven't ever tried anything else, as I've heard mixed reviews on the other food items. Service has always been fine and the timing they give over the phone for pickup has been spot on. read more

I'd have to say that amongst the few available dining establishments in the area, this one never fails to deliver. Service is usually friendly, quality is consistent. I generally order the stuffed 'special' which has sausage, mushroom, pepperoni, ham, onion and bell peppers. It has yet to disappoint. Staying in Pittsfield over the weekend, and. Hose to grab a bite to eat one night. The food was really good, especially their gluten-free pizza. The crust was nice thin and crisp, perfect taste. They also had gluten-free ravioli that was pretty good. They had food specials for a Friday, buy and XL pizza and get a personal size for free. The kiddos enjoyed their food and thr price was decent. When the idea was thrown out to me that we'd be going to the Labor Day weekend festivities in Pittsfield that Saturday afternoon we were over visiting Ms K's family, I immediately made it clear I'd be skipping breakfast to finally try out the little pizza shop I'd seen on the corner the last few times in the area. We'd made a quick circle around the county seat, and between the tarot readings and the corndogs we just couldn't find anything to take our mind of the little corner shop, and so we headed in. Taking a seat near the service stand, we were surrounded by a variety of tables and a lady making sure everyone was taken care of. We took a look through the menu and quite frankly this little place has got it covered! We ordered a couple of side salads and then, without a bat of her eyelash, a mushroom-for-meat substitute of the 12" taco pizza! - Knowing we had a bit of an afternoon ahead of us, we could have ordered more off the appetizer list, but when that pizza came out, we were thankful we hadn't. The taco pizza here, by the way, comes with crumbled up Doritos-ish chips all over the top. It can make for a messy experience but who cares - I ended up wondering if i could customize to Cool Ranch or whatever. I really liked the automated digital POS in this shop, which made checkout easy. The people who come in here are locals who know a deal when they have one available, but at the same time our weirdo city diets - including a pal's gluten-free thing - were welcomed with ease. If you're in town and looking at that new shiny gas station or the chain option down the way, forget it and come here - or better yet, call up and get delivery! read more

I've had gluten feee pizza across the country, but this Gluten free pizza is the best I've ever had. Fresh and delicious!

I'm from Chicago so probably biased. But this place had very little pizza sauce on it and when I asked for giardiniera (which is a hot to mild pickled pepper mix FYI) they looked at confused and said they didn't have any. Pizza was mediocre overall. They were however nice people and had great customer service at a reasonable price. Would not order again when passing through though. read more

Here I go...last Wednesday, I'm in Pittsfield to attend my Aunt's funeral. After the visitation, I decided to provide pizza for my extended family who are staying at the local hotel. On a whim, I stop at Gianni's and spoke with the owner. Johnny completely understood the situation and prepared six extra large pizzas. His artistry in the kitchen rivals the best pizza in Chicago and New York (Chicago is where I live now and I was long time resident of NYC). They use electronic payment services and do not provide a receipt. Upon telling the driver this he shows back up 20 min later...with a receipt. Now THATS customer service. I'm a bit of a pizza snob coming from Chicago so when I found myself in PIttsfield on family business, with two hungry grandsons who wanted pizza I was a bit sketpical. But I have to tell you the thin crust pizza far exceeded my expectations and was among the best I have ever eaten. Same with the salad and French fries we ordered. This is a very unassuming family friendly casual restaurant right by the courthouse in Pittsfield. We were staying around the block and this place was open on Sunday for dinner and had lots of gluten-free options for my husband. He had the gluten free mostaccioli (aka penne) with meat sauce - sauce (or gravy) is the bomb - totally authentic and doesn't separate into a watery mess like at many many restaurants. I had the (not gluten-free) canneloni - three large tubes of what seemed like homemade pasta with a ground meat and sausage filling, under a layer of meat sauce and baked cheese. So tasty (but too much). Mine came with garlic bread (fine) and his with a nice fresh house salad topped with shredded mozzarella and classic italian dressing. This is a popular spot for Sunday dinner, and people know each other and stop to chat. Very friendly atmosphere. Prices are reasonable (especially if you are smart and take half your enormous portion home for lunch the next day). They also offer gluten free pizza and two other types of pasta. They seriously have a lot more gluten-free options than plenty of big city restaurants. read more
