We stopped by on a dinner date and without having reservations, was seated in the patio which was nice. We arrived around 5:50 and were seated immediately. The bread service was good with warm rolls served with a balsamic and olive oil dip. We tried the pasta soup and calamari which had both a depth and lightness of flavor. The time between the apps and dinner service was close to 30 minutes. We skipped dessert. The food was flavorful, the service was good, and the ambiance is romantic. We would go again but prefer Bascilico Italiano in Concord.

Overall an amazing experience! I am a huuggeee fan of Mama Ricottas and learning we have "a location" in Concord is a huge score! Located at Gibson Mill, you KNOW parking is plentiful! I did not have a reservation, but being seated immediately was no issue. Dimmed lighting provided a more intimate ambiance and ordered a bottle of wine for the table! Complimentary bread (delicious, and reheats at home REALLY well) with olive oil & vinegar to graze while overlooking the menu. Portion sizes were definitely downplayed and our waitress made each meal as a personal size when these could DEFINITELY be shared! Plan to split or ask for a to-go box! Plentiful serving sizes! Spaghetti and meatballs of course is a classic staple at any Italian restaurant and was delicious! Meatballs were the size of a baseball! Beef&Peppers is a similar dish I get at their Charlotte location and was underwhelmed at this plating. Definitely on the spicier side and dont see myself ordering this one again, which is OK! Allows for an opportunity to explore other menu items! After dinner, our waitress reviewed dessert options and was excited to request the tiramisu! How do you NOT get tiramisu at an Italian restaurant knowing their Charlotte location has PHENOMENAL tiramisu... our waitress quickly came back after putting in the dessert menu to inform us tiramisu was no longer an option and had re-ready all our other options. I opted for the lemoncello! Came with a raspberry glaze(?) and was pretty disappointed. Honestly just tasted like vanilla birthday cake and had a really hard time finding any presence of lemon? Our waitress was so kind and attentive throughout the entire dining experience! I will definitely be back to try some other menu options!

Another amazing delicious meal! I only wish they gave us larger portions so I would have left overs for the next day. We made reservations at the bar for Friday night. We had some great bartenders. We started with the Arancini which my husband loved the last time. And we had some cocktails I had the limoncello spritz and my husband had an okay old fashioned. Our wine made up the drinks. For dinner. I had the gnocchi with the shrimp. And my husband had BROOKLYN STYLE "BROCCOLI & MACARONI" with the shrimp. Needless to say we finished both our dishes. We could have used more bread throughout the meal. I wish they didn't run out of tiramisu. I had the special berry crème brûlée it was okay but I should have gotten something else. My husband had the caramel cheesecake which was good. And to finish the meal I had the best espresso martini in concord! Can't wait for another date night here

This was our first time, and it was amazing... Service was great. It was a little loud, but everyone was having a good time so it was nice to hear laughter coming from every direction. I am an Italian food snob... and I have NO complaints! I ordered the lasagna. My husband ordered the gnocchi. Both were phenomenal. I ordered a Cosmopolitan, hubby ordered the Woodford Palmer. Both were good. Caesar salads were great as well. Cannoli for dessert was great... just wish they offered one without chocolate chips. Overall, great experience! We will definitely be back!

My partner and I were on a road trip and had a craving for Italian. We pulled up Apple Maps to see what Italian Restaurants were in the area. We recently visited Italy and knew that the name seemed like traditional Italian cuisine so we headed over to Gianni's Trattoria. What a gem of a find! The menu had classic Italian meals along with some new variations. We ordered the Arancini, Nonna's Manicotti, Francaise and Creme Brûlée. Everything was absolutely delicious! The gravy for the manicotti was a little on the sweeter side but still really great! Our server was exceptional and knowledgeable of the menu and specials. The ambiance was upscale and had a nice romantic feel. If you are in the area, give Gianni's Trattoria a try!

We had a pretty good experience here for a large party on Father's Day on a Sunday at 6 pm. Some things we ordered: Penne a la vodka - liquidy, unpleasant Pepperoni pizza - "alright" Cheese pizza - good Four cheese prosciutto and wild mushroom pasta - delicious, flavorful Salad - good Old fashioned - drink wasn't good

    Lemon and blueberry marscapone

The food and service was excellent. We were greeted with big smiles on entry and everyone was pleasant. The atmosphere is upscale casual which is cool. Lighting was low but more than enough to read the menu and see around. The food was amazing. The seafood salmon with crab was very good and filling. The steak...AMAZING! I cut a piece given to me with a butter knife. So good. I'm having that next time . Gianni came by the table for an enjoyable, brief conversation and he is so cool. Zoey was our server and she excellent. Knowledgeable, pleasant and down to earth. The blueberry and lemon mascarpone along with a cappuccino capped the dinner off nicely. The Tiramisu is made in house and sells out early in the day. Go and enjoy!

Ahhh what a meal! Pictures will not do it justice. Service was awesome. Bit pricy but worth the money. Will be back. There was this red pepper sauce on the gnocchi that was out of this world.

What a great Italian restaurant that is off the main path. Hidden on the older side of Concord but modernized, parking is ample. Seating will get tough once you arr8ve on a popular night. I would suggest making reservations. Service was very good, the starter salad was decent but the Spaghetti and meatballs was outstanding. The pasta was surrounded with home based marinara sauce. 2 large meatballs held great flavor with minimal fillers. The overall zest of the sauce combined with the meatballs was very flavorful. Overall, I was more impresses with the food quality than the ambiance. It will get loud with groups who have been drinking alcohol during their dinner.

I decided to go with a simple half cheese/half chicken pizza, paired with a Greek salad and an order of Carolina gold wings. We ordered via delivery so I can't speak much to the restaurant itself, but our food was super fresh and hot when it arrived. Let me say, the salad was very sad. It seemed like someone just threw the contents of the produce drawer into a container, lol. It was pretty much a head of lettuce cut into huge chunks, half of a tomato and huge chunks of onions. I had to go through and chop the veggies myself. Crazy. The wings were on the smaller side but the sauce was delicious. The pizza itself (well, the cheese portion that I tried) was good. The pie itself was huge and slices were generous. Maybe not a life-changing foodie experience for me but it did its job.

After an amazing dinner, we were offered the dessert menu. We all were full but the waitress reminded us that we would get a complimentary teramisu or cannoli for my aunts birthday. We picked the tiramisu. Which was amazing. The ambiance is very warm with low-light dining. Will definitely be returning for special occasions or if company comes to town. See you again Antico

This was more palatable however, my husband says it's definitely not one of the best that he's had.. I server was nice and attentive when getting us the drinks, however, they did not check on the food quality once. But towards the end of the meal as my son and I were not touching our food, they asked us if we wanted boxes to go - it was quite obvious. They were trying to do this to free up the table. However, my partner was still working on their dish As we left the restaurant, it was surprising the line of people waiting outside for a table, I hope they had a better experience. The ambience inside felt OK, but it was nothing extraordinary, however, the weight staff all had professional looking uniform.

I ordered the chicken piccata and I think with any really sauce heavy dish, angel hair can be a gamble because the temperature of the sauce combined with the weight of the sauce I feel can sometimes cause such a thin pasta to get too soft? Same for the light breading on the chicken, it gets a little soft and everything feels quite one note but I recognize that this is a preferable outcome for some! (Read Bon Appetites article on the phenomenon "Crispy Gone Soggy") The flavor was good overall, it was lemony and tangy, perfect level of salt, the sauce wasn't too thick or thin. I think for me the pasta was a hair too soft and the chicken, while moist and perfectly cooked, had absorbed more sauce than preferable, causing it to lose any textural difference it might have had prior to reaching the table. Overall, not a bad dish by any means. Might not be my thing personally but it was nice to try!
