Everything you expect in Italian food but the flavor. Ingredients were all there, they just didn't wow. The food just tastes cheap and bland. Think shopping club take and bake. We stopped by on Christmas Eve to get a Stromboli to take back to the house. The restaurant has a dining area and a takeout area. It's a nice place and has a fresh feel. The manager, whose name I believe is Burak, was about as nice a man as you'll meet. The Stromboli came out hot and is a good size. Definitely the largest one I've seen in this area. Overall it was quite tasty with plenty of cheese. I will definitely be back. read more

We dined in and the staff was warm and welcoming. Group of 8 and all the food was delicious and satisfying! Big portions so took some home for next day too. Celebrating my mom's bday and the owner's wife made the table pistachio baklava that was AMAZING! We will be back again. read more

Not impressed with the new ownership. This used to be our favorite pizza place in town. Pizza is much greasier now and wings seemed not as good either. What really got me though was the attitude of the new owner. I had to come back to pick up a new pizza because my order had the wrong toppings, which is an honest mistake. The new owner seemed upset at me and was really berating the young kid who was on phones about his mistake. He didn't apologize or anything and seemed put off that I had come back. Didn't offer anything to compensate my extra 20 minutes of travel time and 30 minutes of waiting for dinner. $3 off the next order or letting me keep the mistake pie would have been an easy way to keep a customer. Now I'll be ordering from our next favorite place in the future. read more

Today I walk in and I notice man with beard distracted a lot I show menu and show word pepperoni twice to make sure he pay attention. they refused to communicate thru write paper for deaf. i brought home and I open it it's only cheese pizza and I was so upset and i called and explained to that person on phone he said you did order extra cheese I said no I show you word pepperoni twice on mnu because you distracted alot on phone and your face moving like crazy. He just whining with attitude what I am supposed to do. He is lying my son said it's not extra cheese it's plain pizza without topping. I waste money on it I think they tried to fool deaf customer. it's insulting to deaf community and they violated communicate accessibility for deaf. I am not going back there again. I lost money. I avoid ordering personal pizzas. they usually disappoint. Not so with Giovanni's 10 inch personal pizza. It surpassed my expectations. My only suggestion would be to ensure the crust is cooked evenly and crispy. Because of all the cheese (delish) part of the crust was a little soggy. read more

We ordered take out and the food is amazing! It was still hot when it got here. The 2L Dr Pepper we ordered was ice cold! The calzones were huge and according to my 2 sons A++++ My husband order pasta with clam sauce and I heard Mmm mmm. And he's always a critic. My mother and I had Chicken parm. It was perfect! This place is pretty solid. We have only gone a few times and this last time decided to branch out and try some other things than just Pizza Hut forgot to take a picture of the pizza, which comes as no aurora is their best menu item. We had the supreme, and it was pretty good. The veggies and meats cooked together well so you know the veggies were chopped the right size. The wings and Alfredo were as good as you'd expect from takeout pizza places. Sometimes it hits the spot. As usual, I love any kind of garlic knots but I would have liked some garlic butter thrown on there. I tried Giovanni's gluten-free pizza via Uber Eats some time ago and really enjoyed it. Today, I was in the mood for some pizza, so the hubby and I jumped into the car and headed on over. Upon first glance from the parking lot, it didn't seem like the restaurant had room to dine; however, upon entry seating was located to the left. Before seating yourself, you will need to order your food. I ordered the gluten-free pepperoni personal size pizza. My hubby ordered the goat cheese pizza and added pepperoni. The restaurant is nothing special on the inside, FYI, but girl who took our order was pleasant. It took about 10 minutes before the pizzas were done. I received my order but my hubby's order was wrong. He sent his pizza back and they cooked him the correct pizza and even offered us dessert for the mishap. Both of our pizzas were delicious. We both rated our pizzas a 5/5. We would have gotten dessert if they came back to take our order but they must have forgotten and we really didn't need it. I would have rated them a 5/5, but had to remove a star since they didn't come back to ask us about dessert. Overall, I would definitely recommend Giovanni's. The pizzas are really good. read more

Some of the best hand-tossed pizza in Concord, NC and fast service. Soft, fluffy crust, thin, and great flavor. My favorites are pepperoni and mushroom and the chicken pizza. They also serve Italian food but I personally find the pizza to be way better They get really busy on weekend nights so if you're ordering, be mindful of the wait. Every time I'm in town and have a pizza craving, this is where I go. I believe they also do online ordering and delivery and it's usually hit or miss so fair warning. Overall, great food, can get busy sometime but worth the wait since it's a local favorite. read more

As I'm waiting on my to-go order I see one of the cooks drop a pizza tray on the floor then use food tongs to pick it up. He puts the tray back into the rack with all the other trays without washing it and put the tongs back in the tray with the other tongs. I am so disappointed in Giovanni's. I order here on a regular basis but I will not come here again. I just picked up our pizza order and when I got home realized there was no pepperonis or ricotta cheese on it. Not a huge deal, it's Super Bowl Sunday so I know things are busy. However when my husband called to get the price adjusted on the pizza the person on the phone insisted that he had made the pizza himself and that it had pepperoni and ricotta on it. The attached picture should proved that is not the case. When my husband argued that this clearly was not the case the person hung up the phone. I am shocked at this type of behavior and I just hope the owner takes appropriate action against this employee because he just cost him a steady customer. read more

This place was my "go to" pizza place for at least a decade and then I'm not sure what has happened, but I keep giving it a try every year for the last few years and it just hasn't gotten better . It would seem the owner has just given up. I ordered a new pizza off the menu tonight for one last try and it was absolutely pathetic. I got the goat cheese pizza, which sounded amazing but there were scant toppings and subpar cheese crust. I paid a lot for this and it was horrible. My fiancé and I had just moved in and decided to stop by, considering it's a mile away & would hopefully become our go to pizza place. So we go to food lion and get plastic cups and plates and order from this place. We made a cute little date out of it in my car to celebrate our first night in our new place. Too bad the service and food was horrible. They made us very uncomfortable with their weird attitudes. I'm a server, so I tend to be really friendly when I go out because I know how much rude customers suck. They were rude in return. No one was wearing a mask. If you're not going to wear one, can we at least see a smile? No? Alright. The food was horrible. And I love food. Even crappy food. My standards aren't high. But this...I shouldn't have ordered the gnocchi. It was soggy, and the marinara had no seasoning. It tasted like tomato purée maybe. Just a watery paste. Odd. The one in Denver near my parents house always hit. This was nasty, and so were the employees attitude. So needless to say, we won't be back to the closest restaurant. I'm not sure what it is with restaurants hating Doordash but it is so frustrating to deal with these places that use Doordash but hate the dashers. This place is especially rude and impossible to deal with. The signs posted on the doors and the message you get when you accept a pick up from this place is just off putting. The don't want a dasher coming in the store until the food is ready but then when you finally get the message that it's ready they then treat you like it took you so long to get there. It's just a very unwelcoming and difficult atmosphere. Not sure how you can own a restaurant and piss off everybody that either tries to eat there or tries to offer a delivery of your product to a customer. The food is never consistent. The pizza will be perfect one time then burned the next. The lasagna has burnt edges more times then not that makes it impossible to eat. Most ingredients tastes canned. I don't recommend them but they are still in business due to there not being many Italian places near that area. It's never busy. read more

Pizza-sauce was cheapest quality possible-no taste, bland...the three shreds of basil were wilted and showed signs of rust, and the tomatoes were midwestern which should not be used as a topping...they are earthy and taste like the ground...not good, will never go back. The garlic knots were good and freshly made. The pizza slice was a bit disappointing as it was soggy and over cooked. I didn't get that NY style I was looking for. I did enjoy the wings. They don't follow ANY Covid safety regulations. The place is tiny and they should only be letting in 1-2 customers in at a time to order. But they let anyone walk in making it all cramped up in the front area which means there's no social distancing. I was 1 out of 6 people in there and was the only one with a mask. NONE of the employees wear masks, not even the person at the register! The door says you must wear a mask, yet they still allow you to come in with one. I was so happy to get out of there!
