Another "triple D" spot marked off my list. A great deli. The people are friendly, lots of Italian groceries, sandwiches, other items for sale, meats, cheeses, this is a full on Italian deli. Their specialty, though, is the ravioli. Tiny little pillows of goodness, the main three ingredients are beef, cheese, and a spinach/Swiss chard mix.. , They make a lot of of them, and they are actually made on a ravioli machine that is roughly 100 years old. Hey, if it ain't broke, don't fix it. I bought a pound and a half bag of ravioli to go. I had mentioned that I was in town from Sacramento. Without me, even asking, he put together a bag of ice for me to sit on top of the bag of ravioli,, so I could get them home. That was very nice of him. I also bought a bottle of imported Cacio E Pepe sauce. The price for everything was very reasonable. The place is cash only, but they do have ATM in the store if needed... The ravioli were so good, Rich, and creamy, and the spinach/Swiss chard mixture was perfect. The sauce was very good, I could taste the pepper, but it didn't overwhelm the rest of the sauce. Only cash accepted, there is a ATM inside the fee is 3$. I didn't do my research before hand don't be like me. I order the #6 on ciabatta, it was so delicious. There was a slick kick that I was looking for. It didn't have enough meat on it for me. I should have gotten double obviously my error. There is seating and a few mid-large size tables. Plenty of chip and drinks options, additional groceries and desserts. The line was pretty long with only 2 people working for the amount of customers, they need another person working. What a tasty sandwich and potato salad. #12 is what I got. Sliced roasted pork and Swiss among other things. Potato salad was great. Red potato with some skin on and green onion along with other things. Tasty. Service was great I was only one ordering. I was there late so one type bread was available. I ate it outside 70 degree partly cloudy. The roasted pork was still warm. Ambiance inside is a Italian deli with seating inside. Outdoor seating of two large tables for 3 or 4. Very simplistic menu options. Tuna is just tuna in oil, which I liked. I enjoyed the simplicity of the sandwich and it's taste. Not many topping options; just dressings, cheese, lettuce, tomato, red peppers, and wax peppers. The pickle on the side was nice and firm, and sour! Several tables inside and outside. I went on a whim and tried something new on my lunch break today. I tried the #10 and on homemade focaccia bread and it was delicious! I also did a side of mac salad, bag of chip and soda. Everything was great. The service was also quick and the employees carried a conversation with every customer. Great local sandwich shop! Called in my order which was great so my food was already ready for pick up. For two sandwich and two bags of chip I paid $25. They slice their meat fresh the soft roll is fresh and soft. This is a cash only place which I didn't know and don't carry cash on me so that was the only downside, so don't forget your cash they do have an atm located inside the store $3. Fee. Customer service was great. I got the #4 sandwich, that had pastrami and turkey the sandwhich was pretty thin and smaller portion but tasted good. Would come back to try the pasta. Went here on my lunch break today as I was craving a fresh sandwich. Saw the amount of customers inside and thought "this is great, this place looks popular." I waited behind a teenager who was ordering. I wasn't addressed by anyone in the joint, not even a "hello." I waited until the girl in front of me was done ordering, as her group of friends had come up behind me to wait in line. The man working the counter addressed the group, asking if they wanted to order. The young teen said he would wait for me, as I had gotten in line first and he wasn't in a rush. Without looking at me or verbally acknowledging me in line, the man behind the counter ushered the kid to the front and said "I'll take your order." I left after waiting for 8 minutes with no acknowledgement. Terribly service staff and customers were mentioning behind me that they had run out of bread. read more

First thing first.. it's CASH ONLY which sucks if u use their ATM w/ $3.95 fee. That should be posted somewhere boldly (I didn't see it if so). Normally I go to Genova, but wanted to try Gian's and see what they had to offer. Nice size deli, but kinda empty with assortment of meats/cheeses as other sized deli's. I came for the pesto pasta on Wednesday (pesto pasta day) but was informed that they had it day before (schedule change that week). So I tried a sandwich. I had the #10 on ciabatta bread. It was mid. The combination didn't wow me at all, it was kinda basic & bland for a sandwich. I purchased Gian's pesto but haven't tried it yet. I will be coming back to try again. I know it's a Stockton staple and I want to support, but the amount of meat and toppings that were on my sandwich were sad:( I ordered over the phone, didn't change anything about the sandwiches, and arrived about 10m after the time quote. There was no greeting, as they were busy with a two person line. I wasn't sure if I should stand at the register for my already done sandwich or stand in line, so I chose the line. After the two infront of me I told them I had a pickup and was helped next. My total for two sandwiches and two chips was $25. No problem at all except the sandwiches were very small (maybe 4 inches?) and super thin on meat and toppings. I appreciate quality and will say the meat was great and the soft roll was fresh, but my focaccia was undercooked:( Like I said I'll be coming back and hope to update my review then! read more

I have to say this deli is pretty amazing. They freshly cut their meats in front of you. They have a lot of product that you can buy. The sandwich was so delicious on Friday and Monday. You can have raviolis special and on Wednesdays they serve hot sausage sandwiches, which I definitely will be back to try that! Management is so friendly. Atmosphere was pretty chill. I highly recommend to try this out in Stockton. One thing you must remember Cash only but no need to fret they do have an ATM. This place is located inside the parking lot behind Ululani's Hawaiian Shave Ice. I enjoy coming here. Their service and staff are really friendly. Their food is really good. I tried 3 different sandwiches (#3, 8, and 10) and all of them are good. My favorite is number 10 on focaccia bread. Their beef ravioli is good too! But they serve it only on Wednesday and Fridays I think? And maybe on weekends. I'm not sure. I recommend for you to come here. We were out in the area that I used to know as the Miracle Mile doing some shopping... And we look over and I'm like, a deli!!! my favorite thing is a deli. There was a line for lunch, of course, and we had to use their in house machine to get cash. Once we had the money in hand.... we told the employee, I feel like I should have asked his name, he might have been the manager/owner, but he was very responsive with pointing out what our options would be as vegetarians. My wife got the veggie quiche that had this pie type crust taste. It was very good! Then I had a build my own veggie sandwich without any meat. Everything tasted fresh and delicious.
