They don't think it is their job to do their jobs. They try to tell the patients that they have to contact the doctor when in the past that was the pharmacist role. I will tell my doctor I would rather be dead than work with people like them. They have such poor attitudes. They treat people like dirt and then play the victim. These are people that don't care how many people they harm. Just don't hurt their precious fragile feelings. If you ever do much as hurt their precious fragile feelings even though they have hurt your countless times, they will threaten to terminate the relationship. They can't live to the standard of behavior they set for their customers. Heartless. Cruel. Last year they refused to send my heart medication to another pharmacy. I had to explain to my doctor why I wasn't taking my medication for the last year. I told him it was because they didn't feel it was their job for me to get it. They have also made others errors that I was gracious enough to overlook. I am tried of being mistreated. Customers deserve better treatment.

When I did go pick up her meds, the staff were unfriendly and seemed annoyed that I'd come to get the meds rather than have them delivered. 2 months ago, they sent her a text that they had planned to deliver her meds that day (not sure why they ignored my request to pick them up) but had only discovered that day that she needed refills, so her delivery would be delayed for 5 days. No apology, no offer of emergency meds to cover her, I guess she was just supposed to keep her blood pressure down with the power of her mind. Last month, again they ignored my request to not have her meds delivered and sent her a text that the delivery was on its way. No one showed up. She called the next day to ask where her meds were and they said they would be delivered the following week. Again, no apology, no emergency meds. I'd had enough and went to another pharmacy to transfer her prescriptions. The new pharmacy called me and said that Akron Health Mart Pharmacy had actually refused to allow the transfer until I called to tell them why. So, I did. She's now with the new pharmacy and we are so glad to be done with these folks. Please, save yourself the headache and go anywhere else.

I attempted to purchase some wine at the Kent Walgreens. When the manager rang it up, he asked for…read moremy id, so I gave it to him. He then scanned it and proceeded to ask the girl in front of me for her id as well because I was talking to her and it appeared to him that she was "with" me because we were talking. He then refused to sell me the wine, which is ludicrous because the girl in front of me had nothing to do with my transaction and never touched the wine. I argued politely and he told me that it is the law that they id everyone who is "with" the person who is buying alcohol. I have read over the alcohol laws in Ohio and there is ABSOLUTELY no law of that nature. Regardless of whether that girl was "with" me or not, the store should not have any right to demand her id if she is not paying for or touching the alcohol. It might be a Walgreens policy (or the policy of that particular employee) - however the employee felt the need to lie to me and say it is the law. I have never had this problem in the past and have bought alcohol hundreds of times at hundreds of different establishments. I can only imagine that this store doesn't refuse to sell alcohol to any customer who walks in the store with their child. That being the case, I feel that I was unfairly discriminated against. I will not be ever purchasing another item from Walgreens again and I will encourage anyone I know to do the same.
