When expressing your concern to management (acting more Dennis) he has no sympathy or empathy of how staff treat their customer even after openly displaying the disrespect in front of him he did absolutely nothing to address the disrespect toward the customer. Great location. Helpful staff. On a good day you can be in and out. On a bad day, you will need comfortable shoes with the wait.

This Giant is so so, it's only convenient when I'm in the area. Their selection isn't bad, but their floors are always sticky, and there's always an issue with security at the front entrance. read more

We phoned Giant Food Customer Care on 11 April to report a problem with Nature's Promise Grain Free Blueberry Granola. Each package contained fewer than 10 very small dried blueberries. We were told we'd hear from the vendor soon. We called Giant Food Customer Care again the following week twice. We were now told it takes up to 5-days before getting a call. We waited 6-days, and called Giant Food Customer Care again because we were not contacted by the vendor. We asked for a supervisor. Now we're told the vendor was on vacation and we should expect to get a call back from the vendor on 22 April. We got no call back from the vendor. We called Giant Food Customer Care again and asked for a supervisor on 25 April. We were told a Giant Food Customer Care supervisor (Elizabeth) was on break and we'd get a call back from her. Again, we got no call back. We called Giant Food Customer Care today, 28 April. We asked for the boss in charge. We were told the boss (Roxanne) was in a meeting and we'd get a call back. Again, we got no call back from Giant Food Customer Care. Bottom line - Giant's slogan should be revised to "WE DON'T CARE ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE" ... wouldn't you agree? I had business in this area so stopped here for the first time. I did a very small shopping - milk, bread, and fruit. This store has the scanners. I didn't use one. I thought the place was well organized and appeared clean. I was there around 2:00PM on a weekday. Store was not too crowded. I had a pleasant experience and checked out without issue using self checkout. FYI, went by the fish counter and all looked and smelled good same with the meat counter. I didn't buy any. Aldis gang 4 life. So if you know me you know that I am no fan of giant however, a matter of convenience called. I just needed to get some eggs. I got what I needed, went to the self check out and for some reason the self check out kiosk would not except my cash. I called the young lady over to come help me and she was unable and had to call someone else. I stood there for a few minutes waiting for someone to assist me. He was clearly in now rush. Ultimately, I was able to pay for my items and leave, but the experience felt unnecessarily complicated. Here is my biggest issue ... there's more self checkout lanes than cashier lanes, yet the self check out kiosks all have issues. The one attendant that they have tending the self checkout lanes has to constantly respond to someone. There were like 3 people around me who needed assistance with the machines. I understand trying to be cost-efficient as a company so instead of people use robots. However, what is the use of having robots that don't work and still needing humans to fix them ?!!! read more

I really wanted to give this place at least four stars. Considering how much I patronize this location and the fact that I prefer Giant as my grocer of choice all together these days, I should be able to speak much more highly than I am. For one, and this is a big one, the place is ALWAYS crowded. 99.9% of the time the lines are longer than desirable and the parking lot is filled to capacity. Every time I have placed a pickup order i have been forced to idle directly in front of the store because the pickup slots are all occupied with parked shoppers. Recent changes have included more self checkout than actual full service service checkout lines. The aisles are also a tad narrow for my taste. I guess my routine patronage has a lot more to do with convenience than anything else. It's less than 2 miles from my house. What I won't do is settle for Shoppers. read more

Why can't this Giant manage to open the self scan checkout early in the morning. At 8am yesterday 2 cashiers were open, self scan was closed. Some shoppers, afraid of being late to work, simple dumped their items and left. The customer service desk was closed too. Do better read more

I really don't want to give tjem 1 star. I understand since covid-19 has been going on things are hectic. However, there's no reason to be unprofessional. Today, I woke up early and was amongst the first 5 in the store. I was looking for lysol. I go to the aisle, there's nothing there. I get in line to pay for my groceries and I see a lady with a can of lysol. She said it was behind the service desk. I was just there on Thursday and it was on the shelf. There was no signs posted informing you where it would be. I asked the clerk, no one knows anything. I called and spoke with the manager Renee. This the only Giant store my family and I shopped at since I was a child. But now I understand the importance of customer service. On our last trip we had a cashier so nonchalant and rude (even checked her phone in between ringing us up), and she was intrusive by asking my mom about her health conditions (she's on oxygen and other things). "Why are you wearing that, what happened?" Snap chat is fine... but asking customers about personal things should be left out. I wish I remembered her name so I could put her on blast. I left a comment at the front desk but I doubt they actually respond to complaints. We won't be returning. The store is okay but lines are consistently long, with only 2-4 cashiers working at a time. The staff is average. Most of the cashiers don't greet you or make eye contact. We found a better Giant further out in Bowie.. read more

For years we were diehard Giant shoppers. Then things started to slip a bit and we are now only occasional customers. The product is typical of any store in their category. Good quality at normal prices. The product isn't the challenge. Don't get me started on their self checkout system. Half the time it doesn't work right. And if you used one of the hand scanners, forget it. Though a great concept, they are the poster child of poorly implemented technology. It could be awesome, instead it is awful. read more

Ive been coming to this giant for a little over 10 years and I can say the store definitely does need a clean up like I notice guys who I'm guessing are the janitors walk around with brooms and cleaning supplies but yet nothing is actually ever clean while like most stores the customer service is a hit and miss every once and a while you get a employee who seems like they don't actually wanna be there and also maybe it's the area or clientele it attracts or maybe im just there on the wrong days many off the customers are extremely rude and nasty not only to the employees of the store but other customers as well and have no problem causing scenes in the store that not only inconvenience the employees but us the customers as well it's sad that for quality service you have to go outside of your own neighborhood read more
