We truly had a great experience buying a Coachmen Apex Nano travel trailer from Giant Recreation World in Winter Garden, FL! We live in Navarre, FL, so most of the process was done online and over the phone. We initially were a bit hesitant because of this, but the paperwork process was super smooth. Our salesman, Ron Newsome, along with help from James Thorpe, made things incredibly easy. Although I had done some research, not having seen the trailer in person also made us a bit nervous. But I was assured along the way that they would do what they could to make sure we were happy with our purchase. Once our paperwork was straight, we set up a date and drove all the way from Navarre to pick up our RV. We arrived late for our walkthrough, but Karen was standing by waiting for us and did a wonderful job showing us the RV. After that, we went to see Brandon in finance, who had everything ready to go! While we did our walkthrough, a gentleman (wish I remembered his name) from the service department expertly installed a weight distribution hitch on our vehicle. We had an incredible and easy experience renting with this company. After several failed attempts at renting through websites like outdoorsy and RVers we came up empty handed and frustrated. We googled rv places close by and found these guys. They're a locally owned business that offers both for purchase and rentable options. We opted for the coachmen leprechaun rv that slept 5 of us very comfortably. The process was smooth, educational and comparably priced to others out there. The rv was clean, in good condition and ready to go. Pick up takes about 30 minutes due to instructions and ensuring all rules are known. The drop off took 1 min. Park, drop the keys and go. The first response regarding the price was just giving me the same price so I questioned what is the get best price button? I was told by Kevin that would be $500 off. I asked very detailed and specific questions regarding final out the door, price terms and interest rate. He only responded with the out the door price of the RV so I didn't respond. Then I started receiving text messages from Devon asking if I wanted to move forward. Again, I said I needed to know the terms so I could decide how I wanted to finance it. Devon only quoted me a monthly payment of $329-$359. I didn't respond. Again, I was asked if I wanted to move forward with the purchase. So again, I asked what is the interest rate in term? Devon responds with 8.9% for 180 months.!!! I respond with the figures and that none of that math adds up. Then this morning the sales manager James Spallino starts interjecting in the text thread and is extremely rude. Calling me out like he's smarter than me talking about something totally different. WE just had the most amazing RV Buying experience at Great Recreation World in Winter Garden. We were so well taken care of by Hunter, or sales rep, Brandon, our Finance guy, Alex who did our walk through, and many others. Brandon has flowers for his wife delivered to his office every Friday. Because I happened to be there, he also bought me a dozen roses as well. When Hunter found out (just in passing) that my dad was in the military he extended his company's military appreciation to me. When Brandon realized we were only a few dollars shy of the lower interest rate level, he wiggled things around, got us an entire percent lower AND we got all the covereages we wanted at $15 LESS a month in payment. I've never seen a company work so hard for us to have the LOWEST payment possible. They gave us top dollar for our trade in as well. I started working with the parts department in early December because Forest River refused to work with anyone who is not a dealer. It has been a month and the parts manager will not return my calls or emails. When I call, he is not available. I wish he was professional enough to respond or even say he forgot to follow up with Forest River or any response. Ignoring a custom is worse than poor service. read more

We had an RV coach battery fire while on our 7000 mile summer trip from SoCal to Rhode Island to Orlando and back... We nearly lost everything! Todd, our service advisor, helped us to an incredible degree. He was patient, calm, kind, polite. He saved us THOUSANDS of dollars. He had the RV inspected for damage, ran diagnostics to see what caused the fire, replaced the wiring, and was able to provide two new 6v batteries all within a day! He went above and beyond at a time when RV repair shops are behind and waiting for parts, no customer is happy, and it seems as if the stream of needed repairs is never ending. I made contact, asking a few questions thru their web page and the next day I received an email and a text with the answers I was looking for. I also filled out the information for my trade-in and got a "rough estimate" (high and low price depending on the condition of my unit) quoted in an email. We made an appointment for a few days later, after visiting other RV dealers, to finally check out this RV. Comparing the experiences we received at other dealers, our experience with Ron N was exceptional. We came to an agreement on price and we were offered a fair trade-in value (on the high end of their rough estimate) . We went home, grabbed our 5th wheel and brought it back in so they could give it a once over. We set a date for after the weekend to come back and finalize the sale. When we returned the few items that needed attending were fixed. Everyone we "bumped into" at the Winter Garden location were very friendly, and absolutely no one was pushy or rude. This past week was the second time in 6 years that we have rented an RV from this business for a week. Our experience this time started a bit rocky. We had some issues with the rental. Thankfully we were only camping across the street - if we had been on the road with it to another location our vacation would have taken a bad turn. And, Tom F. was great to work with! I have never, in my life, seen people who worked so hard to lose a sale. First, their response time is terrible. You can contact them for information or even attempt to go through the process of purchasing and they either don't know anything and have to find out and call back or they don't run your application.. Before they run your application they tell you they need $1000 deposit that isn't refundable, so if you're coming from a different state with an expectation of a camper and get there and decide you do not want it because of damages then you're out $1000. If the trailer you want to purchase has damages (like a hole through the front of it) then they try to add money to the price (say $1000) or give you the option to repair it yourself and only take $600 of for you to repair it yourself. It seems most of their campers do have damages, the salespeople are not attentive, not knowledgeable on the products their selling and unresponsive. This was the worst experience I have ever had attempting to purchase anything. Needless to say, we didn't purchase from them. As someone who has an extensive background in sales/finance and owned my own dealership I can honestly say I would clean house and find an entirely new staff. read more

They only get 1 star is cause there is no NEGATIVE STAR ... bought a 3 month old pull behind 30 foot. Had a few thing wrong was promised to be fixed before delivery of 2 weeks out. Had an additional full replacement warranty on anything and all appliances. Home delivered 3 weeks after purchased all the small stuff not fixed. Thanksgiving weekend the fridge went out ON A NEW UNIT and they have yet to replace or even attempt to repair. Have heard nothing lies and bull shit and nothing done !! STILL WAITING !!! They took my application and pulled credit which her my score, and then told me that they will not work on my application with the banks until we made a deposit of $6,000 for a "commitment". When someone comes to an RV dealership it is not to waste time but to make sure that we are getting the best deal possible before providing money that is nonrefundable.This practice of business is an excusable. IGiant RV has no ethics, just want to take your money sales, trades and service quotes are not honored, even if in writing which if addressed they just avoid you. Service double my cost too once they spoke to the insurance company to bleed as much as they can get, using an excuse freight and fuel increase o it caused a estimated mid 4000 repair to be over 9000. and think it's ok. made a deal on a different RV with my trade in, then they advertised my purchase RV lower and when I asked for that price no one would return my calls or emails.purchase and used service at Lazy Days and Camping Wolrld in the past, better ethics and staff. The night we brought our new fifth wheel RV home we have issues. The TV and refrigerator wouldn't stay on. We thought we had a minor fuse issue but it was much worse than that. My husband started pulling out the wires (he is a licensed contractor) and found wires that looked like rats had been chewing on them. Shoddy workmanship from the way they were pulled thru. But that was still not the issue. Eventually he found out the inverter had never been turned on and a panel that we should have had access to was completely buried. (So far all the electric stays on now) Next we need to find out why hardly any heat or AC comes thru the duct work. This is more of a Forest River issue (the manufacturer) but Giant Rec wanted us to wait 2 months to bring it in. So we would be paying for it to sit in our driveway and possibly be a major fire hazard. read more

I purchased a RV on July 25, 2020. A awning for the slider was installed wrong and ripped. A wrong exhaust fan was installed. Both on pre-delivery. Of course they had to order the correct parts, seems like everything needs to be ordered. I made a appointment for 09/01/20, yes a month away. Well luckily I called them on 08-31-20, spoke with Jordan. He said they are backed up and my RV wouldn't get worked on for at least 3 weeks. I stated I had a appointment which was made a month ago. He said he has RV's sitting there for 3 weeks that needs to get done first. Then says when salesman's sell RV's then they have to get them out too. I advised him that these repairs are pre delivery work that was done wrong. I don't understand making an appointment and still have to wait almost a month later to get repairs. Do not trust them or believe anything they tell you, They even find ways to twist those things in writing so as to not cover what seems to be covered in their "lifetime warranty". I am so upset with this company. As soon as they deliver it they want nothing to do with you. We bought a 2018 Forest River by Salem. There are drawers falling out, pieces ripped from couches. There forever warranty is great if you can bring it to them. Micheal, Vaughn and Paris were all aware of our intentions. We don't even have a hitch on our car yet. Knowing that Paris convinced us to take the extended warranty. Again knowing we wound be stationary. I am more than willing to have repairs done on my own. I do not want to deal with this company. But i feel I'm entitled to have my $2105.00 back that i was convinced i needed. I feel completely taken advantage of. I will keep you informed of my progress with this company. Bought a golf cart 2.5 years ago from them and didn't know until today that they have some sort of control on my speed to keep it @ about 13 mph. I found out about this when I had my golf cart upgraded by an independent vendor... called Giant Recreation World today and they want to charge me $140 to undo this "control"! Keep in mind it's supposed to be on only for golf courses and they knew when I bought it that I would be driving it in downtown WG!! I bought this brand new and spent over $7k and they want to charge me $140 to fix something that should have never been "turned on" in the first place!!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME??!! After the sale you are not a priority. My brand new trailer needed a couple of replacements which was like pulling teeth to get done. The service department never answered the phone and sometimes would return a message. Horrible experience and would not recommend this company to anyone. We purchased one of their used Rental RV's mistakenly thinking they would have taken care of it. The unit had a dented bumper but no other noticeable damage. However, the overhead cab is leaking right above the dented bumper. Upon closer inspection, they had tried to seal it with caulk. The damage was never disclosed to us. Either they are very dishonest people, or they have a useless staff. Regardless, I would encourage anyone not to shop there! read more

Purchased a brand new Firest River TT.. we are new, and the walk thru was overwhelming. We have been out 3 times, and couldn't believe how bad the bathroom smells. After doing some research. Turns out our toilet didn't come with a gasket to hold the water in the bowl. Dometic won't cover it, and the part is on back order for 6 weeks. Wife refuses to go camping again until its fixed. Their motto "home if the forever warranty " sounds like a load of B.S. Also, they don't "prep" them when you pick them up. Ours was full of metal and wood shavings and atleast 30 screws. read more

Worst experience ever when doing an investment like this. Sales Person (Ramon Fuertes) was excellent...no doubt about that but the Finance Department was a mess, no communication whatsoever until the day of picking the unit up. After that, I had to bring the unit back a month later because just before I left on the day of pick up I was told that they had to order a new under belly because the technician messed up the one that came with the unit. They told me 1 to 2 days after I dropped it off. It has been 9 days now and I can't even talk to the original tech that received my unit so another tech answered my calls not knowing what is going on with my unit and telling me that Jorden will call me back. I called again today, no luck, asked for the Service Manager, no luck, contacted the CEO which I have two surveys sent from him to fill out, no luck. Horrible Dealer...PLEASE STAY AWAY! HORRIBLE SERVICE. DO NOT BUY HERE. I walked into the showroom and told the Salesman, Pete Hersey, that I was ready to buy the brand new 14k golf cart that we had looked at previously. Unfortunately, after waiting for 1.5 hrs with no help (I am also 7 months pregnant), I asked the secretary to get Pete to tell him that we would leave and come back the next day as it was almost 5pm. I asked Pete if he could hold the cart for us and he assured us that it was ours and that he would put a sold sticker on it so that we could come back and purchase it the next day. When I went back the next day and found the manager he relayed that they had already sold the cart and didnt offer up any solutions to rectify the situation. I understand that mistakes happen and assumed they would help me source another one. Unfortunately, after leaving my cell phone number with the manager and leaving a voicemail on Pete's cell phone I never recieved a call back from anyone. I am shocked that I was unable to purchase a full price golf cart and that no assistance was made to help me buy another one. Do not waste your time shopping here. read more

Do not shop for an RV here!!! We had a nice salesman and they have a parts store inside, that's the only reason I give them 1 star. This place deserves zero! Con man sales manager!!! We ended up interested in a pull behind that was over our price point. Just for giggles I asked our salesperson what the absolute bottom line was on the camper. The price he came back with, FROM THE CON MAN, was just too good to pass up. We spent the next couple of hours really looking at the camper and deciding how to pay. Our salesperson threw in a tow system. We settled on a date to pick up the camper, because they wanted to really go through it and fix all the small repair items. OK. I gave them a picture ID and a Credit card. The Con Man then proceeds to come out of his office and tell us he can't sell the camper to us at the lower price but he can write it up at the original full price. What? What kind of bait and switch lying BS is this? Horrible way to do business. Expect the same thing to happen to you if you shop at this place for a camper. read more

Thinking about Buying an RV? PLEASE read before you do. Giant Recreation World or Giant Disappointment? Hurricane Irma devastated our house. Due to mold issues, reconstruction will take months to complete, leaving my family without a home to live in. The fix? The new 2018 Coachmen Chaparral 370fl from Giant Recreation World to live in while re-construction is occurring. After graciously offering to drive the RV to my property, I accepted. It is difficult for myself to do these actions myself due to being a permanently disabled first responder due to injuries received on duty. However, I would have rather hired a teenager with a new permit who recognizes some aspect of humility. The driver which transported the rv to my property hit a grape fruit tree while backing the rv. The rv received some minor damage (mostly scratches) to the left front side and to be honest, I felt sorry for the driver. I even tipped him $20 for his time because accidents happen. I called Giant Recreation World and spoke with the sales manager who informed me to call the next day and talk with Dennis the General Manager. My wife spoke with Dennis concerning the damages. During their conversation my wife asked me to pick up the phone. She told me he was being condescending and demeaning to her because he could not be bothered by our situation. After an introduction I was greeted with a blatant accusation that it was my fault for allowing his driver to collide with the tree with the sarcastic remarks that closely mimicked the attitude of my teenage daughter. I immediately was put on the stand to his questioning as he tried to figure out a hole in the story for which I would be liable for his driver's actions. At this point his nonexistent law degree ceased to be a factor and his tone became antagonistic. I tried to alleviate the tension with an apology for the frustration and how this issue could be resolved. His "solution", was for me to drive the RV back to their location, and IF they have time, they will get to it. Apparently, the thought process was that camping outside our demolished home was more logical than trying to prioritize a paying customer with a legitimate concern. I pray that no other individuals have to go through this. We have been able to save friends who thought of retiring and purchasing an RV from Giant Recreation World as they experienced the same red flags through the dealership showroom. It should be noted that in the Better Business Bureau they are NOT accredited. Although their estimated rating shows an acceptable rating, they currently have multiple complaints that are not resolved as well as approximately ZERO positive reviews.
