A small brewery catering to the neighborhood- such a win! Friendly bar tenders who will answer all your questions, especially as you build your own flight. Plus, great food, friendly vibe, board games for all to enjoy, outside patio and easy parking. Even for those who don't drink beer or cider, this is a great place to gather with friends, enjoy some food and grab a board game to just chill out.

My friends and I came here for Thursday night trivia. This was my first time here and I had a great time; the staff was kind, the food was really good and pretty reasonably priced and the trivia was really fun. We didn't even get top 5 but we had a great time as a group. The Hazy Gold cider was actually really good, for someone who is 2 steps below a fan of cider and beer. I'd definitely come back here for a chill time and we plan to come back to future trivia nights!

Such a great spot to relax with friends or family over a fantastic beer or cider! They offer an extensive variety of ciders and are more than happy to help you find the perfect one to match your taste. The service was warm and welcoming it is definitely a place worth visiting!

Great drinks! Attended the HTX dog expo and had a great time! Would definitely go here again.

Happened to come across City Orchard for a musical showcase. Was pleasantly surprised! Tasty ciders; I tried the Lavender Royale & Cherry Red, yummy good. The Mushroom Pizza was delicious but could have used some more Shrooms :). Cool decor, a giant wooden tree steals the show! Large outdoor area with a nice view of Downtown. Great customer service from staff and bathroom was super clean. Ample free parking. Definitely will be back for some brews and views.

Very cute brewery - variety options ranging from fruity ciders to beers. Very cute and small place with around ~40 seats combined for indoor and outdoor. Fun place to just hang out. Has different events on certain nights like Drag Shows, Trivia, Comedy Shows, Paint and Sips & more. A nice local place to check out.

This place was awesome! The drinks were good and that's cheese pizza was the best! Services was good, it was the type where you order at the bar. Also we went on a Friday night and they had comedy show and it was good. Something to do on a Friday night! Plus they have happy hour all day! Truly enjoyed!

Love the vibes in this place and a big fan of most of their ciders. Their pizza is tasty. People are friendly and they host a lot of events but unfortunately the acoustics aren't great.

Each cider I've tried here has been tasty and the staff is very helpful if you have questions about what to order. When the Houston weather is nice, their patio is a great place to be! Lots of seating both in and outside.

Decent location but could be hard to find if you aren't looking for it. Drinks are great and bartender are knowledgeable of their drinks. Love getting g the flights to try different kinds of ciders. Great outside and inside seating areas.

This is my favorite place to go for a cider and pizza. The atmosphere is fantastic and the bartenders are always friendly. City Orchard NEVER disappoints. Also, they almost always have something going on. Love this place!

Excellent service. The lavender cider was surprisingly amazing. The Pesto Italiana Panini was exceptional and hit the spot. I recommend the flight with 4 ciders, they let you taste them before ordering if you're unsure on which 4 to choose. Will be back'

Ask the Community - City Orchard

What is parking like?

Easy. Just a large parking lot out front. It's in a strip center type building.

Is this a kid friendly place?

Hi - yes we are a very friendly family place. We just ask that children remain supervised by their parents and stay at the table due to COVID.

Can we bring board games to the open area?

Yes!

Is City Orchard dog friendly? and if so, both in and outside?

Yes! A lot people had dogs with them. Most everyone with dogs were outside though

We stopped in and I asked if they did flights and I simply got a rude "nope" and the guy just looked away. So I ordered a Happy Accidents pale ale that was decent. I asked if they had stickers and I got the same "Nope". I asked if they ever had them or if they were just out, "out" was the reply. Not exactly a chatty guy. So, this most recent visit, I came with a couple buddies. We stopped in before the World Baseball Classic. Still no flights and still no stickers. (The stickers are important for my garage man cave wall!). However, the beertender was a much friendlier lady this time and I got an orange fudge stout that wasn't very good. The place itself is pretty cool for the most part. Really big outdoor area with a bunch of shipping containers turned patio covers. There are a bunch of pinball machines, and the decor is fun. They are also heavy on the cannabis side of things. Areas for improvement: Get some stickers offer flights so people can try your beers parking sucks

They prepared my food ahead of time. Pizzas, Brussels sprouts that we all fought over, hummus, nachos, and 3 sets of wings. When we arrived the tables had reserved signs with our group name. It was 3pm so we were all starving. We ordered drinks at the bar and some of my group members pointed out all the pride flags making them feel welcome and happy to patronize this place. People commented on the ginger beer and loved every single thing on our tables. Most awesome is that they didn't want a deposit two weeks before when I called even though I offered since they were making so much food for 20. I wanted them to know we were really going to show up. As a group of artists, we loved the artwork especially the mural with Houston letters. We took a group photo and some of us headed back on the road to SA completely satisfied. Others loved the vibe of the place and neighborhood and decided to stay longer and explore some more. Thank you Gristworkz!

The beer selection is solid with plenty of options whether you're in the mood for something crisp, hoppy, or a little adventurous. Food-wise, the wings and fries came out exactly how they should--hot, crispy, and perfect with a cold pint. Nothing fancy needed when the basics are done right. But what really made the experience stand out was the hospitality. Gabe behind the bar was fantastic--friendly, attentive, and the kind of bartender who makes you feel like you've been coming there for years. By the end of the night it honestly felt like we were regulars. Great beer, hot food, and top-tier service. That's a recipe for a place I'll definitely be back to.

The staff is generally friendly and welcoming, and even though I'm not a big beer head anymore, I still enjoy most of their offerings. Their food menu is solid: they have wings, burgers, and more--but my favorite is the steak sandwich with fries. It never disappoints. The brewery itself is also a great place to hang out. The patio is huge, and they recently added covered lounge areas with heaters, which makes it comfortable year-round. There are TVs everywhere, and they show plenty of local games, including rugby. They used to support the Sabercats back when they were still around. Overall, it's a reliable neighborhood brewery that's firmly in our regular rotation. You can also get their in cans to go if you want to!
