Not the cheapest nor the most expensive, but the only company to provide an in-home demo of the actual windows we were purchasing. With such a big home improvement project, you want to feel confident that you made the right choice. Shortly after signing the paperwork, they sent someone out to measure. Then we waited quite a while for the job to be scheduled. Unfortunately, installation occurred during a weeklong heat wave. Yet the guys rarely complained, and spent four full days installing our windows. If I have any complaints, it's about their after sale customer service. The day our installation wrapped up, I noticed a slash in one of the screens, and was assured they'd order a replacement and have it sent to us. Three months later we still had no screen, so my husband and I started calling. Every call was treated as a brand new sales call and no one seemed to know anything about our replacement screen. Finally, someone came out and made us a new screen onsite. However, he re-screened it too tightly, and the frame warped. More phone calls and more confusion on their part made us feel like we were in the twilight zone. Ultimately, we took the frame to their office and they fixed it there, which was an additional inconvenience. Other than these few snafus, we're happy with the work.

We had an issue with our basement windows. After many calls to various companies we settled on using Tonnotti. I am a huge advocate of using the mom & pop establishment. From the moment of contacting them we were upfront & honest that we would need to finance the job after the down payment. Every time we spoke with someone we got a song & dance about looking for a new company with better terms for financing. Skip ahead to the installation day, the work is completed & we were asked for payment. Imagine our surprise when that happened, we explained about the financing & the worker said he would have someone reach out to us. The office called & explained that their finance company didn't finance anything under $3,500 and we would have to find another way to pay. I was furious and told them so. I felt like we had been baited & switched because they knew our position. Then last week with all the rain we came home from a funeral service out of state to find out basement once again filled with water. You maybe asking yourself well how can that be? When we cut away the expanding foam the silicone they used around the window was a joke it was minimal & it pulled out without any effort. So now having to not only deal with a home in New Hampshire that a tree fell on, a mother who's had to move into assisted living I now have to deal with trying to find someone, I will have to pay more money, reliable to come in & fix the shawty workmanship of a shady company. The door quoted was a Provia and although expensive, is the first thing visitors see when coming to our home. It was ultimately more than worth the money. Darek the master carpenter, came once to carefully measure the existing door, lights and woodwork. Ultimately we needed a custom size door built at the factory. His measurements were so accurate, the new door fit perfectly first try in the opening when stood up. Darek performed the removal and new install and is truly a talented professional. We felt lucky to have his skill, and although I'm not a carpenter, I could tell via his work he is excellent. The finished entryway to our home is now amazing and went from rotten to beautiful. Per Cathy's suggestion, I immediately had the surrounding millwork and wood work refinished and painted long before the door install.
