Really amazing estate winery right on the OR/WA border! We decided to stop on a whim since it was right off of the main road and are so glad we did. Tastings were complimentary, with the ask to provide a cash donation instead that goes to the local food bank. We were able to walk in without a reservation and the wine maker was conducting the tastings. He was so friendly and answered all of our questions! We ended up getting another two glasses after our tasting. Inside there is standing room only for tastings and outside there are 4/5 tables.

May 31, 2015 tasting lineup, with vintner Michael.

No upfront fee for their wine club, and no Seattle area tasting room! Small, family-owned, and literally on the Washington/Oregon state line, with the address on State Line Road, on the southside of the town of Walla Walla. One of the best vintner/vineyard/people experiences I have ever had! So glad I left Walla Walla with a case of various wines. I am now on the hunt for the 2012 State Line Red back here in Seattle! Pinot Gris was delish, too! Can't wait to visit you guys again. Thanks Mike and Melissa!

Enjoyed our visit because we got to talk to the owner, winemaker. That is very uncommon for a Walla Walla winery.

Delicious wine served by Mike, the grape grower / wine maker, who shared his story and gave us a look at the wine making equipment.

It's one of my boyfriend's all-time favorite wineries, and it's easy to see why. Bobby is a truly phenomenal and talented "rockstar" status winemaker who is also incredibly personable; we deeply admire how hands on he is from the soil of the vines to the fermentation room. By blending art and science, he expertly curates the wildcards provided by mother nature each season into truly delicious masterpieces. The surprise tasting that Yvonne beautifully arranged became a truly unforgettable highlight of our trip. Our visit was elevated by several key elements: * The historic 1904 Whitehouse-Crawford lumber mill building adds a uniquely enchanting charm. * The welcoming staff and gorgeous tasting areas truly enhance the ambiance & elevate the tasting experience . * There is an impeccable attention to detail evident in everything from the blending process to the carefully crafted barrel selection * Be sure to try the Petit Verdot; although it is traditionally utilized as a Bordeaux blending grape, here it takes center stage as a standalone standout.
