I have gone to gifted barbershop every 2 to 3 months for the last 3 years. As well as my son. At first, I though they did an okay job for the price. It took me a while to realize I was settling. Their atmosphere was nice at first. Just a calm chill stereotypically dude type place. Not my cup of tea normally but it was totally fine. Eventually, they stopped giving a damn. I watched them with me, my son, my brother in law and other customers as well. They always answered cell phones and began having PERSONAL phone conversations thst sometimes lasted up to 15 minutes. They would occasionally snip my hair here or there but mostly just stood there and took their phone call. Answering an appointment based phone call I'm more likely to understand and be okay with. They'd also do the same thing with friends that would walk in. They'd stop cutting my hair and be "Yo, dude what's up?!" And fist bump and chat it up. I just kept dealing with it due to them being one of the more price efficient places but I'm very particular about my hair. I need what I need done to it. My son has grown to be the same way. That brings me to March 5, 2020. MY WEDDING DAY. My son, brother in law and myself went to get our hair cut. I asked for my usual which is a "Disconnected Quiff with a medium to low fade" I ways have a diagram even for it. HE SHAVED ME COMPLETELY BALD ON THE SIDES. There was NO hair. It was smooth and bare. Meanwhile he left the top of my head, overflowing with hair that was just not cut at all. I low key panicked and had a break down lol. My son was unhappy with his haircut that day also. As was my brother in law. I literally tried every barber in that place before giving up. Just spend more money honestly. It's worth it. Some of the reviews are done by their friends that come in. A local place like this should get waaaay more love. Cause this is a jewel of a family based business. Not only was I treated with respect, but I was comfortable with the vibe pretty much immediately. Can't beat a family friendly, good-times giving, fresh a$$ haircut and shave. Ritchie treated me right and I'm feeling just as fresh right now writing this as I did 24 hours ago when I went in for my first haircut in over 8 years. I take my grandson here even though we live 40 minutes away because he likes the great work and atmosphere that comes with it.Ritchie has been cutting his hair for a few years and he will not go anywhere else.So to the person bashing this place on Facebook,no need to talk bad if you don't like the atmosphere just go some place else.Great Job guys read more

To the bad reviews, they do accept other forms of payments such as Apple Pay or using your card for a $1 extra fee. So no they are not trying to scam on anything. I've been going here for almost 4 years. They treat every one with respect and very profesional and the prices are great. For the waiting period, they take appointments first before any walk ins, so maybe booking or calling in advance will save you a lot of time. No reason to trash a business like this when the business and service is great. read more

After moving, I needed to find a closer barbershop to my home . I went to numerous barbershops on the East Side and they all had a very unwelcoming feel. Especially the shops that have multiple locations in town. Luckily I found Gifted . They have yet to disappoint. The guys here are awesome!! We came into town for a wedding and didn't have time to get my 3 boys a cut before we left. Found Gifted, they took the boys pretty quick and I love the cuts they all got! Absolutely one of the worst experiences I have ever had at a Barbershop. I went on a Saturday and the place was understandably packed (that's a good sign). I expected to wait so it wasn't an issue , the first thing I noticed is there's no sign in sheet so there's no way of knowing who got there when and what order people should be in. Me and my son take a seat people are walking in after us but being helped before us. My son tells me I think these guys are taking there friends first. After sitting for close to 45 minutes, I over hear the guy next to me say he has been waiting for 1.5 at that point we got up and left. These guys maybe gifted I will never know, because I will never go back there and I will tell everyone I know not to bother. read more
