Haven't been to a barbershop for years, so wasn't sure what to expect. But after combing through reviews, this place seemed to be the most well reviewed. It's a bit of a hike for me to get there, but it was well worth it. I have hair loss on the nape of my neck, probably due to an autoimmune condition, and I wasn't sure what to do about it. Amy did an excellent job of making it not visible, and I came away with one of the cleanest haircuts I've had in a long time. After trying multiple barbers/salons, I can easily say that Rahnay is the best haircutter in Oro Valley! Rahnay listens to you, pays attention to every detail, and is really SKILLED at her profession. It's easy to see that being great at her craft, while providing amazing customer service is important to Rahnay. As a snowbird who leaves in the summer, I had to come back to Arizona for a family funeral. I didn't have time to get my hair cut before I left the northwest. I reached out to Rahnay to see if she could squeeze me in. Rahnay's schedule was fully booked, but she offered to come into work before her shift in order to cut my hair. Rahnay is amazing, and what she does at the price she does it for, is amazing. She could easily raise her rates and all of her customers would keep coming to her! read more

Do you ever have an experience that makes you want to write a 5 star review right away so you don't forget? That's what we just had here! We called a day before seeing if they could fit in haircuts for my 2 and 4-year old. Rahnay was able to fit them the next day. These were both of my kid's first haircuts. Rahnay was awesome. She gave both of my kids flattering haircuts. Their hair looks so healthy and shiny. She even curled my daughter's hair. So pretty! The barber shop has a toy section with various wooden toys, children's books and magazines, as well as an assortment of People magazines for the older folks. They also have lollipops and I did notice a fridge with beer. My husband confirms you can have a complimentary beer while you get your hair cut. Facilities are also kept clean. Dustin has cut my husband's hair for a few times and does such a nice job. Highly recommend this place! read more

This place is outstanding for 3 reasons. 1. Online reservations! I am not walking in and taking a number, I don't want to wait long and the technology is almost free to do this, why won't local barbers follow suit? AND they take card!!!! 2. They actually acknowledged me in a friendly and professional manner when I walked In the door. I've walked into many a "high end" barber shop here in Tucson to just be ignored and left feeling like I was back at high school trying to find a seat at lunch on the first day of school in a new town. 3. It's kinda a double edged sword this one. I'm pretty much bald so you wouldn't think a haircut would be a problem, but that's what most barbers tend to think as well so they rush through it and leave uncut hairs, etc. Very frustrating. I'd do it myself but I've yet to crack the code on making the back and neck look decent. I discovered this place, and Amy, a couple years ago and haven't looked back. Amy takes the time to make sure I get a perfect cut and taper, to my request, and is a great conversationalist to boot. At this point, I sort of have a pattern where I try to get the last cut of the day, arrive a little early to enjoy a complementary beverage, then pick up a robusto from Anthony's for the drive home. I've lived in Tucson for about 25 years and it's taken this long to find a barber that I'm happy with, but I'd have to say it was worth the wait. I have been coming to CDO Barbershop for 20 years. After locking down I finally returned after 13 months. I can understand, but don't approve, that no effort is made to have people wear masks. You advertise cleaning between customers and sanitizing the workplace. There was no effort to do so during my visit today. Hair from the previous customer was blown off the chair at my request for sanitizing. As always my hair was cut professionally and to my liking but I did leave disappointed. read more

According to Barber, they have no control of it. he software give time slots to chose from. for example , I asked for 1140 time slot , it confirmed for 1120 then days later says 1145, then 200 then 145, after about 5 other changes the software made over the next few days. I had a job interview at 10:00 a.m. this morning and was in a frantic search for a local barber to trim my beard up before the interview. I went with CDO Barber Shop as they had a 9:00 appointment, the shop is near my hotel and as if it were not convenient enough already it was enroute to my interview location. I arrived at 9:00 and walked in and was greeted by my barber Rahnay Curtis. The next 20 minutes were the best experience I could every ask for from a barber. She was very meticulous and far exceeded any expectations I had going in. Rahnay takes a lot of pride in her product and is great to have barber shop conversation with.
