First, I feel guilty having someone else clean my house even if I am paying them. I feel this way about other services, too, like pedicures. It also makes me feel weird to have someone I don't know in my house. Finally, I didn't like paying someone to do something for me that I could easily do myself. It felt wasteful. EVEN THOUGH I AM LAZY AND NOT GOOD AT CLEANING. Mess Masters is owned by Sara. She came to our house and gave an estimate and explained how everything would work. They use natural, eco-safe products and require you to provide some of the supplies. They have several different options for cleaning. It's not cheap, but I don't think it's expensive either. The price depends on how often you clean and how big your house is. Also, they do one deep clean the first time since you probably don't clean as well as they do. I have never lived in a place as clean as my house after Maria cleans it. Maria is the best, and she is also very nice. She does little extra things sometimes and surprises us. This just makes me happy. I still feel guilty, but the guilt is less when I walk around my hard wood floors and I don't have pieces of dirt sticking to my feet. The floors are so clean they squeak! I love Mess Masters; they are very easy to work with and do a fantastic job. Unfortunately, Mess Masters does not currently clean north of 635 or in high rise buildings. I saw the streaks all over the couch and they said it was the water solvent they use and it will go away once the couch dried. I will admit it was my fault for taking their word as I had to immediately get the couch into storage after it was cleaned. I just pulled it out the other day and those streaks are still there. I cannot get them out. It had been year since the appointment so the company can't insure it. I offered to produce the store unit receipts backing up to the date of the original purchase to verify my story. Plus, I'm an interior photographer and have photos of the couch before it was streaked. Meta data on the pictures to prove the dates. They didn't even try to work with me. I will fault myself for not double checking. However, if you have to double check a company's work, they definitely aren't worth their services.

After a few challenges speaking with someone, my initial cleaning appointment was scheduled. The person arrived on-time, was very pleasant, and seemed to work very hard, which I greatly appreciated. When I went through to look over her work and prior to leaving, there were several things which were not cleaned well or, at all. My bronze brushed fixtures in both bathrooms were not cleaned, my granite-top counters still had grit on them (which admittedly you cannot see but, if you ran your hands over the tops it was obvious), and my table had clear stains. I mentioned them to the lady and she cleaned everything with no complaints. I texted the POC and asked to speak with her as, I need someone who is detail-oriented and this person did not seem a good fit. After back-and-forth via text, I finally received a call to convey all that occurred and to request another professional. I was assured the new person, "I would like her cleaning" and a new visit was scheduled. On cleaning day and to my surprise, two people arrived with the primary person late. There was no explanation as to why there were two people (I found out afterwards that one person was training a new employee although the trainee worked mostly alone and in the areas where I had the most issues), and they came in and after a walkthrough, began cleaning. As they were getting to the end, I walked through and took pictures noting things which needed further cleaning or initial cleaning. Before I could share with the cleaners what the challenges were, they were gone. They did not say good bye, did not leave the checklist I was promised, and there were several things which were not cleaned AT ALL: Kitchen & dining room floor, refrigerator and stove top (both stainless steel with smudges/fingerprints/food), mirror in my daughter's room clearly was not cleaned, my guest bathroom mirror and sink were not cleaned...I was not happy. One of the things which gave me pause prior to scheduling the first cleaning is the insistence on payment prior to services rendered. I have used professional cleaners before and usually payment is rendered at the completion of the cleaning or your card is charged once confirmation of the customers satisfaction. My experience with service companies is, awaiting payment is sufficient incentive to ensure the satisfaction of the customer. I sent in photos (this is a requirement before they will even speak to you about re-cleaning) via text that evening and received an email the following day...an email reply not a phone call, which I was unable to review until the weekend. The email stated they could schedule a re-cleaning on the upcoming Monday morning at 9AM but by the time I replied on Sunday, I was told Wednesday afternoon is all they have open as the other openings were filled. My life is way too busy as a single parent with a highly demanding job to continue with a service provider which clearly has challenges so, I cancelled any re-cleaning along with any future cleaning with Organically Maid. I did receive an email stating I probably needed a dedicated housekeeper (along with some story about having a short office staff which was in reference to my concern about communications) as my needs are very specific. I need the things I am paying for done, and done properly. No one pays for services which are partially completed or left undone and it would have softened the blow if they had offered some portion of my payment returned as, nothing about the service I received on 2/6 was professional! I never spoke to or heard from the owner and wondered how aware of these things they were. If they were not, they should be now and hopefully it will mean better service for customers in the future.

Scheduling is impossible, nobody shows up at the agreed upon time, it's always either earlier or later. When I've asked about scheduling, pricing is always vague and different, or she doesn't reply at all. I had someone scheduled for "around noon" today and still haven't been able to get a confirmation, nor a response back in the last three days when I've asked about pricing and what's included. It feels incredibly unprofessional and scheduling a service should never ever be this difficult. The last few times I've had her out, it's been okay, but my apartment never gets dusted and last time she skipped my bedroom completely because instead of responding to me when I booked the appointment, she assumed I didn't want it done (just because there was one time I didn't want my bedroom done) but still charged me full price anyway. If I hadn't caught that a week later, I know she wouldn't have said anything. I'm confused why she would book my appointment and now from the looks of it I've been blocked as none of my messages will go through. Her read receipts are on and she just ignored ignored ignored until blocking me? Very disappointed in the decline of service because I was ecstatic to have found a cleaning service I liked be trusted.
