    Chipotle Chicken Fries
    Amanda C.

I would be more than happy to try anything on their menu after this visit. Though they were out of steak, they still had chicken so we ordered the chipotle chicken fries. The chipotle sauce was SO good and the fries were crispy and thick enough to hold up the rest of the toppings. Will absolutely be back!

Was lucky enough to have this catered at my workplace. Overall, solid tacos from the tortilla, to the chicken and the accompanying salsa, beans, and rice. Leftovers tasted pretty good when reheated also.

Whenever the Food Truck Roundup comes to Raytheon, I love to snoop around to see what all the trucks are selling. No matter what, I always end up at Gigi's bright green truck. Honestly, I've never tried anything other than the carne asada fries but I don't feel like I want to venture out of my comfort zone. This dish has yet to do me wrong. After ordering and paying with card (about $10), food comes out in 5-10 minutes. The super fresh fries are generously topped with delicious carne asada bits, pico de gallo with hints of jalapeno, cilantro, and an avocado sauce. It's incredibly flavorful and savory, and you should probably share it with more than one person but it's also a good choice for pigging out. One day I'll try something else, but for now, I highly recommend this food truck, and especially these loaded fries!

Carne asada fries with everything on the side, this is what I got couldn't even bother filling the guacamole half way

At the light parade I order carne asada fries from you and the fact that you are advertising a picture and that's what I'm expecting but getting this in return. Then on top of that it's $14 ridiculous, I should have started showing the people in line the ridiculous crap you guys served. I feel sad for the next people your going to scam. Zero stars!

The Carne Asada Fries! Already half eaten, and tons still left!

Tried this truck out when it came to my place of business! I ordered the Carne Asada Fries, and they were quite good! I would have preferred fresh cut fries, but even though frozen the fries were hot and crispy and in abundance! The meat was flavorful and plentiful although a bit fatty! All in all a very good experience! The green sauce which is a very unique chimichurri was outstanding! I would eat here again without question!

I was so impressed with this food truck and their amazing staff I hired them for a private party. They are just a fabulous to work with. They showed up early. Made food to order promptly and holy portions batman!! I recommend them for your next event big or small. Now I just have to check out their delicious looking breakfast offerings.

Finally I got to try Gigi's Mexican Peruvian Fusion Food Truck and I was NOT disappointed!..What a great price point!..Everything on the menu was $10..The Fusion Tacos are fantastic!..You get 4 tacos on handmade flour tortillas with your choice of barbacoa, carne asada or chicken..All the meats are well seasoned and have just the right amount of spice with great favor!..I think next time I'll go with the chicken fries!!..Gigi's is a great addition to the Tucson food truck scene!

Just caught the tail end of the Corona de Tucson food truck roundup tonight and so glad I did! I've been here pre-yelping and now get to give this place its dues. Absolutely fab! Great Puruvian fusion. Great small menu with something for everyone to try from amped up French fries to my favorite the el Cubano. Prices range on average from $4-11, but the portions are worth every bite! I paid $8 for my sandwich and it was worth much more. The pork was tender and grilled perfectly. Nice staff always at the food truck round ups. A must try. Faves: el Cubano

We recently got to try the Gigi's food truck in our neighborhood (luckily we have an HOA that brings businesses to us) and were pleasantly surprised by the food. The truck boasts a fusion of Mexican and Peruvian cuisines and, although they offered a limited menu due to the COVID-19 issue, what we ordered was pretty great. I had originally planned to order the fries topped with the chicken, but, based on another Yelper's review, opted to avoid them and went for the carne asada tacos instead. The meat tasted like it had been soaked in pineapple juice before going on the grill, so it had a wonderfully sweet flavor, which combined with the saltiness of the salsa, was just perfect. I will warn you though, this food is extremely messy, even by food truck standards, so dress in less than your finest for this one. The pricing was also very fair, as far as food trucks go, with each meal costing a flat $10. If you see this truck around, give a try!

Absolutely delicious steak burrito (they were out of shrimp, but it was still amazing)! The fries are fantastic, too!

I never know what to get at Food Truck Roundups, but something about the Gigi's truck caught my eye (perhaps the bright green? Visual menu board??) and I just had to try it! I decided on the Steak and Shrimp Burrito. It was later in the event and they had run out of shrimp, so they kindly charged a little less. The steak was tender and juicy. The burrito was a tasty treat and incredibly filling! I was able to save half for the next day! An awesome burrito is a meal in and of itself, but Gigi's includes the most amazing fries with their food!! The fries are thick and the perfect balance between crispy and soft! I loved every bite of this meal and cannot wait for them to return to Sahuarita!

Almost forgot to take a pic cause it was so good! Mango Chipotle Chicken Salad.

I was able to try this food truck because of a roundup my company held. Out of all the trucks there, this place stood out. I had a hard time choosing what I wanted because everything looked great, but I stuck with the Mango Chicken Chipotle Salad. The chicken had great flavor and was cooked perfectly. The mango chipotle sauce was also delicious and a little spicy which I enjoyed. This mixed with the salad and the rice was bomb diggity. This place was pretty cheap too compared to what you get with other food trucks. $8 for chicken, rice, and salad (plus 2 slices of a cutie orange). They don't skimp out! I can't wait to try the other options on their menu!

I absolutely love this food truck. The chimichurri bowl is excellent for $7.00. Finely diced steak on top of rice, lettuce, shredded cheese, tomatoes and chimichurri sauce ... It's excellent. I seek this food truck out almost everytime I'm at a roundup

    The amazing carne asada fries!

The interior is visually congested, not in a bad way but with lots of decor, seating, movement areas and etc. It makes a feeling of the space being busy and distracting. I prefer calmer spaces but it's not terrible. Service was prompt, frequent and wonderful. An older woman came by and asked how we wanted salsa and made us a bowl which was INCREDIBLE! So savory, spicy, fresh and left me wanting more. (You get a certain amount salsa and chips per person than you gotta pay). It was literally perfect. We weren't super hungry and wanted to share, to us the serving was more than enough for two. We enjoyed a house rocks margarita, grilled steak fajitas with rice and beans, sides of sour cream and guacamole and also some chips and salsa. It was all very well made, came out steaming and was very satisfying. The space felt cold to me, but seemed fine to all else. So just a note there if you run on the warmer side. I don't know if they do reservations, but I would imagine on some nights it would be a good idea seeing as they seem very busy.

Which, you know, is kind of the whole point of a restaurant. The atmosphere was great, a little on the nose, but great none the less. It feels like a Mexican dinner or at least what I imagined a dinner in Mexico would look like. The staff where beyond amazing, especially the woman who made our complementary salsa right at the table. And the salsa was yummy but sadly that's the only part of the meal that I can say that about. The thing is, nothing was truly bad, but just about everything was incredibly bland. You'd have expected someone who puts raisins in potato salad to have served it, not an authentic Mexican restaurant. Though the positive is the lack of seasoning is really the only major problem. The food did not have any weird taste, it wasn't dry, the presentation was fine. It simply needs to be seasoned and this place goes to a solid 4/5 rather than a three.

From the moment we sat down, he was attentive, friendly, and incredibly efficient, checking in so often (perhaps too often) to make sure we were taken care of. As for the food, the birria tacos were amazing, packed with rich, flavorful meat and served with a delicious consommé dip for dunking. Every bite was better than the last. With Rodrigo's outstanding service, combined with the great food, this was easily a five-star visit. If you go, do yourself a favor and ask for Rodrigo, he'll take great care of you!!

Pretty good. Pretty good. Of the four of us who gathered to dine here last Friday, (late summer of…read more2026), three in our party raved about their meals, and had nothing but high-praise for the experience. We three, actually loved everything about AMELIAS. Us three (*let's just call them "the cool ones"), were wowed by the taste of our food and noted that the plate presentations were kinda cool-- and a little "more-fancy" than what is typically placed down upon the table at your typical Mexican food restaurants. AMELIAS adds a bit of "pizazz" and "decorum" to their menu items--like edible flowers that float in your margarita, or wavy lines of crema that dance on the seas of flavorful sauces that accompany the tamales, 'chiladas, and relleno plates served here. Three-forths of us also noted how attentive and friendly those who served us were. And... we (the cool ones) also all noticed how the warm, cheerful, and welcoming ambiance and decor of the place added to the enjoyment of our meal. (*Play Debbie-downer walk-up music) One in our group...(dramatic pause)... was notably quiet and reserved when it was her turn to rave about her dish. This person, smiled and shared that she thought her food was, "pretty good." But, now that I think about it...her praise was kinda limited, and she, indeed, was a bit reticent. I would find out later, as we lay in bed that night, that one in our group had not enjoyed her meal as much the other three had. Apparently, the cheese and chicken enchiladas dish that was ordered was not to this person's liking, and she added that she thought the service was "just okay". Not wanting to bring-down the mood of the evening, this person played along and didn't criticize. Now, I am not trained in psychology, but if feels like...(how do I put this delicately?)... okay. (*the writer thinks for a bit). Sometimes... when one in our party does not get to pick the restaurant that we are going to try, it seems to me... that...(dramatic pause as I try to find just the right words to say this).. I seems to me... that...This person is just, "not going to enjoy" the place that was picked, no matter how good it is. There! I said it. And while I'm on the subject... your mom is just like this too. And now you know the rest of my story. Let's summarize: AMELIAS is a very good restaurant and you will enjoy the heck out of your meal. Unless, of course, you insist on being the one who picks where your group goes out to eat-- and you don't get your way. Then, you will find it to be, "pretty good", but complain about it later in bed. (I know this is supposed to be a restaurant review, and not a mini-soap opera. But I hope you enjoyed our little dive into the psychology of relationships.) Until next time, this is the guy who will be sleeping on the couch for a night or two if my beloved happens to read this. (lol--she will find humor in this...and, of course, disagree with my "junior-psychologist" interpretation of why she thought Amelias was just okay. )

Honestly, I wish I could give Yaquesita a little more, maybe half a star more, because this place definitely has potential. Their flavors are good, but compared to similar restaurants the menu feels a bit overpriced. For a party of three we ended up paying around $100, which felt like a bit much for what we got. The restaurant itself is pretty small with only about 3-4 tables inside, but the patio is a decent size and has a cute vibe. It's actually a nice option on cooler days if you don't mind sitting outside. Some items were better than others. The wet-style burrito was delicious and definitely a highlight. The quesabirrias were good, however the birria felt more like fancier shredded beef. It was missing that rich, spicy, slightly acidic, earthy flavor that usually sets birria apart from barbacoa or traditional shredded beef dishes. The bowl was just okay and had lots of lettuce. It felt more like a salad with a bit of meat, rice, and beans. Honestly, Chipotle does bowls better, and that says a lot considering the price. The nachos were good, but I've had better. Seis Kitchen has amazing nachos to share. That said, it's definitely a place I'd come back to mainly out of convenience, not because one particular item on the menu won my heart. I really do hope they continue refining the menu because the flavors are there and this place could easily become a standout spot. Personally I just think at the total price of my ticket other restaurants should not even have room in my mind during my meal. If you're in the area and looking for a safe bet where everyone will probably find something they like, it's worth giving them a try.
