But his drummettes are just as moist!!! And the nice light crisp of the skin to get into the moist, succulent meat is SO delicious! You can get a variety of styles but I just like his dry rub seasoning. Get 'em before he leaves! The Pork U sandwich is SO good. His pulled pork is some of the best in Tucson. A decent food truck that was at a charity event. They have a mixed menu of burgers and Mexican food. They really got me excited to try the Cajun sauce on my bacon burger. The burger was definitely handmade with chunky lettuce and onions and thick bacon. The Cajun sauce was a excellent addition, not too spicy but a good taste kick. BurgerRito came to my place of employment for a little test run before coming next week to participate in the Children's Miracle Network radiothon where the truck will be parked at TMC serving up food and donating a portion of their proceeds to the cause. I ordered a dozen breakfast burritos and took them to a meeting where the burritos were devoured! Especially love the green chile & cheese breakfast burro - soooo goood! I have gone here multiple times at different locations which have all been a good experience. The chili cheese fries are where its at!!! God I love them. Rude employees/owners. Please try and act like you care about the people keeping you in business. If you don't like your job, get another one because you are in the food service business and you should at least pretend to give a damn about the people who are paying for your uninspired bland offerings. Their menu choices are average food at best. Nothing to write home about, basic burgers and sandwiches. Undercooked soggy fries. Crab cakes sandwich did not have a lot of crab, it looked like store bought fish sticks ground up. Also they do not clearly list all ingredients on sandwiches. Worst experience ever. First time eating here and the owner was the rudest person I've ever delt with. Got offended because i asked for carne asada. ‍‍ he said this is not a Mexican food truck. My fiancé did the ordering and surprised me with a crazy spicy concoction- burger meat layered with nacho cheese, jalapeño, sriracha sauce smashed In between two slices of toasted and uber buttery white bread. Ok - this is a food truck that I've always passed up in the past, because something about it just didn't sound good - boy was I wrong!! They came to the Northwest Farmer's Market today and the truck owner came out to give the low-down on everything on the menu - he told us the most popular items, talked about the menu and truck as a whole, and even pointed out the vegetarian menu. I ordered the fried corn on the cob, and he asked me if I was prepared to be amazed, and I was!! I love all things corn, and this just topped it! I also got the Pablo Diablo - a grilled cheese concoction with a burger patty, hatch chilies, and avocado inside - it was bursting with fabulous flavor! WOW!!! There are a lot of unique things to try on the menu from nachos, to corn, to burritos, to burgers, corn, veggies dishes etc... it pays off to give everything a try!! read more

Ordered a burger and Tucson Salad with Turkey. The burger was a frozen patty on a cheap bun. It came with a ton of fries, so I guess that is ok. The turkey on the salad was really bad, the salad was loaded with shredded cheddar a la taco bell, and the "DAMN CAJAN SAUCE" was just ranch dressing mixed with Tabasco as far as we could tell. The food quality was really poor. The goal of this truck is to give you a lot of food for cheap but at $15 for these two items, it's not that cheap. For a food truck, this one is pretty good. If you cannot guess from the name, the premise of this truck is to combine burgers and Mexican food. When we came to this truck, it was fairly busy, yet moved the line through at a steady pace... which was one of the main reasons why I decided to come to this food truck. Service was unremarkable. They were really busy so they were not being rude nor outward hospitable; basically taking orders and putting food out. Since it came out fairly quickly, I am not going to complain about this. My boyfriend and I decided to split the Burgerrito Deluxe - in other words, a burger patty put into a burrito. To start off with, I am really picky about burgers, so considering the fact that they were pushing out food as quickly as possible, I did not walk up to this truck expecting the best burger I have ever had. It lived up to my expectations. The burger patty itself was dry, but seasoned well and edible. The beans were standard - i.e. I have hand better, but I have had worse. It really needed a lot more sauce (salsa, guacamole, sour cream, I just love sauce so I am not sure there is ever really enough for me) and some form of textural contrast. The only textural contrast that the Burgerrito had was the tortilla itself. It had a hard brown on the outside - like they put it into a panini press - which made the tortilla crunchy. This was desperately needed, though not quite enough to make up for all of the soft stuff on the inside. I definitely want to try this food truck again to be able to taste more of the variety that they have to offer. read more

And now for a story: A burger and a burrito met and fell in love. As is natural, soon a child came along... and the burgerrito was born. But this burgerrito had higher aspirations than just being the child of two famous foods. So, he thought about how to make himself better. He traveled far and wide and came upon a place called Hatch. After a wild night in Hatch, he found himself lying in a field covered with green chiles, surrounded by pigs. After his head cleared, he had an epiphany. He would cover himself in a rich concoction made from these two items and people would adore him. Further adorn himself with cheese, onions and lettuce and he would be even more irresistible. He became known by his celebrity name - Burgerrito Deluxe. Sadly, there is no happy ending to this story. He was stabbed with a knife and fork, entered a huge black hole with destructive enamel walls and never seen again. read more

This is really a 3.5 star review. I have eaten at the truck several times and really like the sandwiches and the green chili. Not a big fan of the burgeritto but that doesn't mean the other reviewers don't know what they are talking about. My recent visit during their time at Carrington College's Open House was a little uneven. I ordered the Diablo and decided to try 5 of their new wings. The sandwich was a hit. The wings not so much... The were supposed to be seasoned with a dry rub but I couldn't find anything other salt and pepper in terms of taste. But the most disappointing thing was finding a bright red bone in the middle when I bit into one! Very under cooked. This is the classic case of doing too much! Stick with your bread and butter, stay in your wheelhouse and this truck will be just fine. read more

In a city with great Mexican food around every corner, Burgerrito sets itself apart with the interesting mashup concept and excellent execution. Paul, the owner, is such a down-to-earth nice guy. So I went because they give out free birthday meals with your ID and I've been seen this food truck mentioned in a couple of blogs so I wanted to try it for myself. I enjoy food and looking for new places to dine and grab to-go's. To start off, I think it's awesome that this solo local food truck gives out a $10 limit birthday meal. Paul makes everything from scratch, he has his own sauces. His most famous one is a green hatch chili pork, it was really good, I could just imagine it on top of nachos or some hard chicken tacos. I bet it'd taste great!! I got the burgerrito deluxe for my free meal, the portions indeed are very generous! That is one common review I had been reading, and boy let me tell you it is definitely worth your buck. Paul told me that if you leave their food truck hungry after your meal, then they basically have not done their job and I believe him. I ate only half of my burgerrito (even shared some with my 2 year old) and I was so full! The burgerrito is basically just at a hamburger meat wrapped in a tortilla, it also has beans in it which were really tasty. It is topped with the special green hatch chile pork sauce and lettuce onions and tomato if you like. You can taste the authenticity in the sauce and beans, it's clearly homemade stuff. My daughter really enjoyed the food, although it has a little kick to it, so that's a plus. For me personally however I think I'd prefer the chicken burrito next time, with the sauce and all. Will definitely be looking for them next time they're on my side of town, give them a chance and try them out it's definitely worth your buck, as mentioned. Thanks Burgerrito!! read more

Being native to Colorado, I was pretty bummed after moving to Tucson to find that this town is nearly devoid of green chili. No, not green chiles, green chili - a chili-like dish made of Hatch green chiles, tomatillos and pork. Poco and Mom's serve up some good stuff but they're too Far East to visit regularly. How stoked was I to find Burgerrito at last night's Food Trick Round-up? Excited enough that the owner of the truck took pity on my cash-less a$$ and made me a burrito on the house. Oh dios mio! This burrito took me home! A delicious carne and refried bean burrito, smothered with green chili that the owner fashioned after Chubbys' - a famous green chili joint in Denver. I put this thing down so quickly that I was in pain for the rest of the evening. But a tummy ache never hurt so good. People of Tucson! NM & CO transplants! Look for Burgerrito at a corner near you and eat there! Gorge yourself like its your last meal! Just make sure to bring some cash! read more

Another Colorado native here, and I can attest that Burgerrito's green chili is even better than Chubby's! I just don't understand why green chili is so regional - it's incredibly hard to find outside of Colorado (though it's supposedly also common in New Mexico, it wasn't on the menu at the handful of Mexican restaurants I've eaten at there over the past thirty years). Been wanting to try burgerrito for a while now. The concept is clever burger patties in a burrito, taco salad, sandwich, etc. Let me start by saying the amount of love and attention that they put into the hatch green chile sauce and their cajun sauce is noticeable and makes these sauces stellar. Now the problem is that they don't pay as much love and attention to the other parts of the whole. I ordered a taco salad which comes with the green chile sauce, diced hamburger patty (beef or turkey), chopped tomato, chopped onion, all on top of a bed of lettuce and surrounded with tortilla chips. I had two problems with this dish: 1. The hamburger was diced and not ground. 2. The hamburger was a frozen patty. I really feel like this food truck has potential to be outstanding if only they put the same amount of love into all items of each dish as they do their sauces. I would really like to see them make fresh or fresh frozen hamburger patties in the future maybe add some diced onion and hatch green chile's to the hamburger patty. read more
