    Red menudo
    Jocelyn S.

I never actually eat inside but it was a slow Sunday so I ordered the red menudo and sat down and enjoyed. My little partner had a breakfast burrito and it was delicious. I'm glad they had a smaller size option for the burrito. I love the service and the salsa bar! We will be back.

    Hope it's decent?

The Mexican food here is solid--flavorful, fresh, and satisfying. The service is excellent, with friendly and attentive staff who make the meal even more enjoyable. A reliable spot for a great Mexican meal every time!

Cold beer, fresh tacos and fresh salsa bar. Everything was amazing. The flavors are authentic and will light up your mouth. Everything I had was delicious. The red mole chicken was fire, also the crispy shredded beef.. finish it off with cold beer = heaven

The food is sooooo gooood!!!! Tacos, burritos, traditional breakfast items, even junior burritos if your not too hungry. Highly recommend.

Wow this place sucks. Like shockingly. I came in for taco Tuesday. I was craving a good fish taco and I really prefer when it's fried with a good seasoned batter. In my previous review I mentioned the tacos here were stellar. I'd like to retract that statement. I came in Tuesday despite there being no taco deals. There is a 10% off Yelp check-in offer that is no longer available but it was honored. I got 4 tacos: 1 carne asada, 2 fish and 1 al pastor. Before discount 19.75 after $17 something. The carne was dry but properly seasoned not much grill flavor tho. The fish was laughably small. For $3.75 a taco I felt grifted, like someone had robbed me. Each taco came with 2 cut pieces of fish "filet", one the size of my pinky and one the size of my ring finger. The flavor was okay. I asked for the cream chipotle sauce that's typical for fish tacos to be on the side, which was tasty and I was given a lot of it. The Al pastor was PITIFUL!!!!!!!!!!!! I used to say this was the best Al pastor in Tucson. Cubed pork seasoned and grilled to perfection with an amazing marinade. Not anymore it was a shredded overly sweet mess. The ambiance was fine. It's clean. What did annoy me is they don't have any plastic to go cups so I couldn't take anything from the condiment bar. I assumed they gave me limes so I was sorely disappointed when I got home. But limes would not have saved my food. For this amount of money I could sit down and be full till my hearts content. I will not be coming back. Another Tucson stable bites the dust.

    Chicken Mole Burrito. So good!

This place is awesome! The food is so good. As you sit down they bring you chips and salsa and from the first bite of those crispy delights and fresh salsa you know you are in for a treat. We got burritos and the tortillas are top notch as well as the fillings. I got the red mole chicken and the flavors were incredible. It was juicy in the best way possible. The salsas from the salsa bar was an amazing compliment to the expertly crafted burrito. The service is top notch as well and the lady running the place is very sweet and helpful. Food came out quickly and was hot and fresh. The ambiance is basic but nice. It's the perfect place! Come and you will be happy.

Hands down the BEST menudo in T-town. I wish they made both white and red BUT regardless the red is superior to all others I have tried all over the city. They bring out a container with a heap of lime/lemon, cilantro, and onion as well as a grinder with Mexican oregano and chiltepin! This place also has other excellent dishes and their house made guac salsa is one of my favorite things to eat in the planet.

Lunch Special- Chix Burrito w LG Fountain $10.50 no substitution 1 tortilla Chix Mole Taco Full of meat but lacked flavor 1-11-24

2/5* for flavor --Guisidos we tried were bland, lots of it, but amiss in flavor profile in chicken mole taco and chicken  burrito. Quality product though, lovely salsa bar, labeled and with reusable metal cups, greatly appreciated for sustainability as well as the metal baking sheet plating. Nice clean dining room with a few tables, Fountain machine behind the counter and a chalk board menu. Chix Mole was not so complex, no chocolate or warming chile and just slight hint of sweet, light orange in color, a similar shade to the chicken burrito that had  mild smokiness but not much else. The Pico de Gallo is oddly spicy hot.  Burrito value filled 5/5* with heaps of chix _10.50 lunch special with large Fountain Drink, but while taco equally full, just one 5" wheat tortilla $3.25, 2.5/5*. Mild Green, medium Chipotle, Hot Avocado and spicy Red salsa with fresh pickles red onions, carrots/jalapenos and limes available self serve salsa bar.  Was just running errands so glad to try it but looking for more flavor next time. Grilled meats maybe but pass on the guisidos.

    Taking care kids

We have eaten here several times and are never disappointed! We suggest the fish burrito and chorizo torta

We were not offered bar seating as an alternative but others after us were offered and seated right away. As we waited for our table other couples were getting complimentary drinks but none were offered to us even though we were waiting longer. When we got frustrated enough to speak with the hostess seeing that other people were seated for tables that arrived long after us we noted that we should be seated as it was well past our reservation time. They said we can sit at the bar but in fact had a table open. When we pointed that out they said that table was for the first couple to arrive which was in fact us. When we noted that they seemed confused but looked at their sheet of names and had no rhyme or reason to the order they were sitting people. Finally we get seated, food was changed last minute to a pre fixed menu with high price. We paid $260 for food that tasted like it cost $30!! Tables beside us were complaining about the food as well, over cooked and rushed. Plates were taken off our table before we were done with them and service was rushed and unprofessional. We have been trying to go here due to high reviews however I strongly recommend not going. In fact, the steak house next door has much better service and food combined for same price. 10/10 do not recommend if I could give 0 stars I would. Please improve not only your service but the quality of food you present to your customers especially for that high of a price tag!

Reading through one of the three-point reviews, we decided to take a shot anyway since it was only marked down two points for some issues with the server. So in we go. We are in a Friday around 1:00 PM. Just after the lunch rush expect expecting there to be pretty far tables. More people receded than I expected in a large room had a private party going on as well. The place is actually quite beautiful with wonderful color schemes aren't very comfortable chairs and tables sit around. The hostess, who I believe her name was Angelina was incredibly polite, energetic and helpful. Got a seated got us water got us chips and salsa while our server Jackie was finishing up her tables in the private party to come out to us. Jackie was quick, efficient, friendly, and checked on us as often as we needed to, which wasn't much From a food perspective, we got the lunch specials for Gorditas and I tried the combo with a corn, tamale chicken enchilada, and Carne Asada taco. The presentations were simply stunning, but more than that they were functional. All of the flavors mixed in created some exceptional dishes. I have honestly never had a corn tamale as good as that one and I've lived here most of my life. The chicken enchilada was so incredibly well seasoned with just enough cheese on top to add a little extra punch along with the Crema, and all the other flavors. Tortilla bread was perfectly balanced with the meat, tasting so good you didn't eat any of the toppings. But the toppings turned it into one heck of an adventure of flavor. Yes I know. I'm waxing a little philosophically here, but the food really did impress the hell out of us. Service was great, food was great, presentation was great, environment is great we recommend coming here and we will be back. Price wise for an upscale Mexican restaurant this one's right in line around $16-$20 a plate foremost dishes. Of course you can spend more, of course you can spend less. I would have added a picture of the food, but at this point, all we have is empty plates and I didn't think that would do any of you any good.

The staff where beyond amazing, especially the woman who made our complementary salsa right at the table. And the salsa was yummy but sadly that's the only part of the meal that I can say that about. The thing is, nothing was truly bad, but just about everything was incredibly bland. You'd have expected someone who puts raisins in potato salad to have served it, not an authentic Mexican restaurant. Though the positive is the lack of seasoning is really the only major problem. The food did not have any weird taste, it wasn't dry, the presentation was fine. It simply needs to be seasoned and this place goes to a solid 4/5 rather than a three.
