I'm not sure why Gigi's doesn't have a higher rating. I've never had anything I didn't enjoy (I have not had their pizza, however), the portions are large, well made, and the people who work there have always been very friendly. I tend to go for their salads and sandwiches (the chicken cutlet on a roll is an unlikely fav of mine). The location itself is small with just a few chairs if someone wants to eat in quickly but it's not a sit down restaurant. read more

So we ordered a pizza today from Gigi's. Called it in in advance because of football today and we wanted to make sure we could get it at the time we get out of work. The pizza (Italian Garlic) was made on time and was nice and hot and the pizza was the best pizza we have had in a long time. We had fresh tomatoes and fresh vegetables on it. It was delicious. Had just the right amount of crust breading. I don't think the reviews do this place justice. if I could give this place more than a 5 stars I would definately do it. This place is garbage. I used to like eating here but the last 3 times I've gone the food has been terrible, even making me sick. I don't know what has happened. I tolerated the poor service because I enjoyed the food but now that the food is just as bad I surely won't go back. The quality of the ingredients is so poor for the pricing. I used to live in the North End of Boston next to Regina's and I could get an amazing pizza for less than what this place charges. Also they really need to straighten out their pricing as when you call vs when you order online the price constantly varies. I would give MINUS rating. I got baked potatoes with broccoli and cheese. The potatoes were so burned I ended up throwing most of it out, did eat some of the broccoli and cheese that wasn't too stuck to the burned potato. A total waste of money. I don't usually bother to review pizza places, because I'm a traveling businesswoman and order pizza frequently for my presentations. However my experience with Gigi's was much less than desirable. I found the staff to be relatively rude pushy and severely lacking customer service skills. I spent over $150 on an order, was not offered anything discounted for a large order, including the bottle of water that I had to purchase out of pocket will picking up my $150 order. Typically the pizza places I've worked with will throw in a small free cheese pizzas some sodas and or at the very least, a bottle of water! My order was not ready when I went to pick it up, (even though I called the night before to make sure it would be ready), and I waited for nine minutes to be able to pack up my car and then move on to my destination. I was not given a receipt when I went to pick up my order, and called back the next day to get a reprint of it, and was told that they can't print receipts again, and couldn't help me. The pizza was given an OK overall, but the students said it was nothing impressive. They were very large for $25 pizzas, but in this case the lack of quality overruled quantity, and I will not be ordering from Gigi's again while in the Western mass area. It's a shame too, because I visit most of the schools out there and frequently order large volumes. read more

I'm about to get real with you guys. Gigi's used to be amazing. When I first came to Westfield State in 2010 it was my go-to for delivery. However, things have changed. Many of you are aware that Gigi's is now under new management. Unfortunately, these new mangers do not use alcohol in their cooking, which really takes away from authentic Italian sauté dishes. This has resulted in many old favorites being removed from the menu, for example, the chicken marsala. For a while is remained one of the more common delivery spots because, let's face it, Bell Italia and Valley were just not cutting it, but now the business is slowly fading out. The more recent owners passed it of because it became such a burden and it has become somewhat of a nightmare. My room mate ordered a salad and was not too pleased to find moldy tomatoes atop her food. I thought I'd give them one last chance so I ordered the stuffed shell/lasagna combo. What I received can only be described as a little bit of shells and lasagna doused in sauce (seriously, you couldn't even see evidence of pasta under it) and then covered in cheese. Overall, this place went from being a local favorite to a general disappointment. This place needs to be put in good hands soon before what's left of their reputation is destroyed. read more

I went here a few months back, right after moving to the area. Actually, I moved to the area of Gigi's II, but called the wrong number. After finding out that I was at the wrong restaurant, I headed down the road to this Gigi's. I wish I had called the right number. I had read a review elsewhere that mentioned the large pizza was much larger than what you'd expect from a large pizza. Cool. I'm a gluton, so that'll work. Actually the pizza wasn't larger than a regular large pizza. It just happened to have about 6 inches of dry, tough crust taking up most of the pizza. Sure, the actual product was huge, but not the part you'd actually want to eat. Even the rest of the pizza wasn't so great. It was dry, and well...dry. Maybe they just had an off-night, because I've tried Gigi's II, and everything was much better. Okay, so a poorly-made pizza alone wouldn't have made me vow to never give this place another chance. The wings took care of that. I love wings. It's meat and fat and skin and marrow, and everything else that means flavor. As long as you cook the things, it's near impossible to make them so bad somebody wouldn't want to eat them. Notice how I said "as long as you cook..." Wing #1 - "Yo, something isnt' right here." Wing#2 - "Yeah, these are going in the trash." I barely left the bathroom for the next day and a half. Maybe I'm just soft, but I hate leaving such a bad review when it's the only review on here. Hopefully somebody else speaks up with a good experience. I mean, they've got two locations, so they must be doing something right. Or, they must have been doing something right somewhere along the line. I have since been to Gigi's II, and it's acceptable. I wasn't brave enough to try the wings again, but the pizza wasn't bad. read more

Awful service. My fiancé and I ordered pizza wings and friend clams tonight. I specifically was excited about the clams and I had asked if the clams came with tarter sauce. The lady reviewed my order with me and repeated everything correctly back to me. I waited an hour for my delivery and when it came something was missing. The claims. I called back and was told "he didn't make them so we didn't charge you". I asked them once more why didn't I receive my claims. And was once again told "The cook didn't make them with the rest of your food so we didn't charge you" what I don't understand is why I didn't get what I wanted or ordered just because the cook didn't want to make them. She was the rudest phone girl. And I will never go back again. How are you gonna tell me what I can and Can't have just because you don't want to make it. Never going here again. I love their vegetable pizza! I think it's my favorite out of all the Westfield pizzerias... however, we went from being regulars to not coming here at all after they never delivered our pizza... we ordered late and they were closed by the time we realized it didn't look like it was being delivered. Anyways, mistakes happen, maybe the person was tired, something came up, break in communication and pizza was never made, this on its own wouldn't have made us stop coming to Gigi's. But that combined with how the person I talked to handled the situation the next day, was what prevented us from coming back. I told her what had occurred and while still on the phone, she yelled at someone, I'm guessing the delivery person from previous day, and continued by saying this is "a regular customer!" This girl is always there and was never friendly so I wasn't surprised, but the yelling while I was still on the phone was most definitely unprofessional and very unpleasant, to say the least. They never offered anything to make me, the customer, happier or satisfied in any way. She barely apologized, maybe her way of making things better was to make sure I knew she was mad at the delivery person, who knows. Anyways, she proceeded to say she would give me credit for the next time we ordered (well, we paid for a pizza we never got so obviously we had credit), and when we ordered a pizza that next weekend, I had people over, so instead of a large we up sized it to a party size, and we were slightly shocked, but not completely surprised, when they charged us for the difference, which ended up being less than $5. Again, no effort in trying to make the customers' experience better in any way. We haven't been back in over a year now and don't plan on going back... Hopefully they'll see there is a problem and improve their customer service, because they do make delicious pizzas. read more

I can't speak to everything that Gigi's serves, but I have tried three different pizzas and I loved them all. My favorite, Gigi Special, was loaded with toppings .... peppers, onions, bacon, sausage, pepperoni, hamburger and mushrooms ... wow! All this was on top of a perfect crust, not too thin, not too bread like. The sauce and cheese were well balanced and high quality. I see others posting problems and low ratings, but my experience has always been good. Polite young folks at the counter and when I call in they are always accurate on the wait time. Overall, I'm very happy with Gigi's and I will return again. read more

NEVER ORDERING HERE AGAIN! Absolutely horrible customer service. Waited 45 minutes for a cold, half cooked "sampler" plater that was WAY too over priced. After calling twice and being told the owner was too busy talk to me by an extremely rude little girl, he finally got on the phone and told me the only way I'd get my money back was to give him back the food I had already thrown in the trash. Not worth ordering from. Ordered a tomato mozzarella pizza for my family, got a meat lovers pizza delivered. Naturally, we call to let them know we received the wrong pizza (and explained that 2 of us are vegetarian and unable to eat meat) the girl on the phone was at first very understanding and said she would send someone out with the correct pizza. Naturally, we waited about 45 minutes which is to be expected and we were thankful they were sending us the correct order. The family members that are not vegetarian decided to eat a slice of pizza while they waited (about 3 pieces out of a 24 piece pizza) . When the new pizza arrived, the delivery delivery asked to take the old one. We gave it to them, and they left. About 10 minutes later we get a call from the girl working, very angry saying that she would have never given us the correct pizza if she knew we were going to take pieces from the incorrect one, and proceeded to say we lied about being vegetarian-saying she only would have done so if ALL of us were vegetarian. So, what, the 2 of us that are should just not eat for the night and still pay for a pizza we DIDN'T order? She said her boss was angry with her which I sympathize with, but this makes me wonder what he wanted to do with the original pizza. Put it under a heat lamp after it's been sitting in someone's house for 45 minutes and try to re-sell it to someone else? You would hope they'd just toss it but considering how angry they were about 3 pieces being missing, this didn't seem like the case. Food is mediocre, overpriced, and staff is rude. Officially no reason to go there. "Boneless chicken wings" are just giant chicken tenders, chicken marsala was completely bland, meal for two people cost $40. Staff didn't speak, I went in, asked for my order, they got it, said the price, put their hand out, cashed me out, handed me the Food, and that was it. No "hello" or "goodbye" or even a Thank You. avoid this place at all cost! disappointment would be giving gigi's credit for something semi decent. food was disgusting! Ordered delivery for the first time ever from gigi's on the evening of 5/13. as a matter of fact, it was the first time i ever ordered from gigi's. the driver delivered my grinder, but, forgot the pizza. he went back, got it, then delivered. driver said if there were any problems i would be taken care of. by then it was over an hour, when i opened the pizza it was dried out and cold, so, i tossed it in the trash. i called gigi's at 1:00pm on the 14th. the young lady that helped me was wonderful." the owner refused to make good on the problem as promised by the delivery person". plus he wanted the pizza back which was now out of the box and buried in the garbage.
