Since moving into town I have only gone to two places to get my pizza and grinders; Antonio's Pizza & Frankie's Pizza. Wanted to try something new and from what I read Rinaldi's was the place to try. Read the reviews about the meatball grinder and figured I would go with that. They are indeed a great meatball. I ended up eating it upside down with how all the sauce made its way to the bottom and opened up. I will say the roll held up and did not crumble like a lot of rolls do so was pleased with the minimal mess. Looking forward to trying other options here. read more

Rinaldis on Enfield Street by the Longmeadow line has been there for years. It was always ok but the new owners have made it a hit. I order so much from them that I'm known by my address. Weather it's Stephanie on the phone or the cooks that deliver, their customer service is top notch. Not only do they have the best pizza but anything you order is fantastic! They always say 45 minutes but they always show up in 35 minutes smiling. Forget about Jimmy's or any other pizza pub, Rinaldi's knocks it out of the park! My daughter surprised me and ordered half ham grinder and onion rings from rinaldi's. The half ham grinder bread came with one end piece and the other half a middle piece. Mayonnaise n lettuce clumped together in the middle of the ham. No cheese and the bread dry. Not sure who made that grinder, but since the original owners sold the place it has not been the same. Wow. I was actually afraid to try the latest iteration of Rinaldis, having grown up hanging out at the longmeadow store.... Was afraid I'd be disappointed. Dear reader, I was not! It was some of the best food I've eaten in recent years.... We did a few pasta meals w/ chicken... the chicken was perfectly cooked and the sauces were on point. Generous portions and the soup was delicious. Moving on to the gourmet pita wrap! Again, wow. The pita was very warm and pillowey and the gyros perfect in all ways! Also tried the chicken quesadilla: tasty and stuffed full of tender perfectly seasoned chicken and cheese. The menu is huge... which could be a liability long term... hope not. So this Rinaldi's is under new management. We decided to give it a try and had a pizza delivered to our home. I specifically asked for them to not come early because I had to pick kids up at practice and I would not be back before the determined time. Of course they got there early. I got a phone call from the driver who waited for me which was wonderful. I have a very fussy pizza eater in my house who was concerned about trying a new pizza place. She took one bite and said "this is good" and then proceeded to inhale the pizza. We will return and look forward to our second pie from these guys. read more

My wife and I have been lifelong Enfield, CT residents, and never tried Rinaldi's. This town has an over-abundance of 'Pizza/Grinder' shop restaurants, so we decided to take a chance and try one that's been around for years. Their menu is substantial. They offer everything you'd want in a Pizza place. Nice variety of Pizzas, Grinders, Dinners, Appetizers, etc. (The grape leaves appetizer and gyro pizza caught our eye immediately!) They deliver, which is another plus, though one Yelp customer complained it took well over an hour for delivery, and I just wasn't willing to chance that. We chose to pick the food up. We ordered two small pizzas...a seafood and a gyro pizza... The toppings were very good on both...nice portion. The cheese blend was very boring...I'm going to guess it's heavily mozzarella based, but I'm not a pizza genius...it just wasn't a cheese blend that impressed me at all. The crust was disappointing. First off, it wasn't a 'golden crust' as one reviewer had noted...secondly, it was just as bland and boring as the cheese blend. To me, this is the most important aspect of a pizza...the crust has to be tasty...thin, deep, undercooked, overcooked...that's preference...but, it has to be 'tasty'. This was very plain. It was 'bread'. My wife took both the pizzas and baked them in the oven for a bit...that helped the crispiness... Overall...it certainly was NOT 'bad food'. The ingredients were fresh, the toppings were very good, it just wasn't anything we would order again. Like I said, Enfield has a LOT of other places to get a pizza or grinder from. Rinaldi's wasn't a complete disappointment by any means...it was acceptable...we were trying something new. We won't be trying them again. I ordered delivery, the woman that took my order was extremely pleasant. The delivery took ~30 minutes to arrive and the food was quite good. I ordered the spaghetti and meat sauce (I'd only suggest adding more "sauce" as it is mostly meat. Tip: add 1/2 can of tomato sauce to it and it's perfect).
