My experience with replacing my water heater went from a serious concern to a satisfactory result in less than a day with Gilbert Acuna Plumbing. Originally I thought the water leak near the water heater was due to the rain and snow we had recently experienced in Lake Arrowhead. However, over time it became apparent that I needed to fully and quickly replace our leaking water heater. I was experiencing problems finding a good service until I was introduced to Gilbert Acuna Plumbing. My new insurance carrier requires the installation of a Leak Detector w/Automated Shutoff valve. I called GAP and the owner told me someone could be at my house today to give me a quote and do the work. GAP had the valve on their truck and immediately started working. Chris and Aaron were very professional and easy to work with. The valve works with an iPhone app that lets you operate it from your phone. Very cool. I hired Gilbert Acuna Plumbing a few months ago when there was a water leak on my property in Lake Arrowhead. The Arrowhead Villa Mutual Service Co. had flagged me and I knew I had to get the leak (I had no idea where it was generated) quickly to avoid a fine. Gilbert Acuna's crew came out within hours as promised and pinpointed the problem as a water heater leak. After serious consideration, I decided to install a tankless and the crew went to work immediately to install. The job which included removing and hauling away the large, heavy water heater (from 16 years ago) and installing the sleek new tankless took place seamlessly. In a hurry to finish the job, packing material was inadvertently left but they returned immediately when I called. I had an issue with my shower with only hot water just coming out. My Land lord had a handy-man come out fix it, however we still had the same issue. I called Gilbert Acuna Plumbing and setup an appointment for the next day. Christopher arrived at the set schedule time. Christopher replaced the water shower valve, and adjusted the water heater, it was set to hottest point. Christopher Acuna, explained that the water heater first point was the bathroom shower, and from there to the rest of the hot water outlets. My hot water shower issue was finally fixed. I had previously purchased a new shower head and Christopher said he would install it. What I like about Gilbert Acuna Plumbing, family run business, honest, job done right, and on time. First of all I called Gilbert Acuna to fix a clogged sink in the kitchen. He was able to come out the same day and fix the clog. What a lifesaver. He did an excellent job and sent me a video of the process. Just had them come out and help me connect my water heater to my supply lines. I'm a DIYer and got stuck, called two other plumbers who wanted to either come tomorrow or charge me just to come out to look at it (one of whom didn't want the job because they couldn't make enough money since I was doing it myself and only wanted the galvanized supply and return lines connected). They are super nice, and they explained everything as they went along, showed me the pipes that were bad (it's an old cabin), and replaced, and took care of me.
