Joseph and Paul came by to diagnose our clog. They were very thorough, efficient, and highly professional. What I appreciated most is that they ran through several diagnostic procedures to determine the most probable cause. Because they took the time to do this, the fee for their services was much less than expected. Specifically, a clogged line has a minimum charge of $450. They determined it was only a clogged toilet, and so only charged me $250! That really made my day. Both Joseph and Paul were very friendly and were very communicative with me. I was never left wondering what they were doing, and this gave me confidence in their skill and honesty. They treated me as they would have wanted to be treated. Very personable, professional, efficient, knowledgeable, and well priced. Ray brought his team out to fix an invasive root problem, snaked the area and found another area of major concern. Was able to repipe both areas on the same day, including cutting through concrete on an inclined driveway and a repour after the piping was done. Priced well, and the team was great! How blessed are we in the Crestline community to have Ray, Joe, JD and their incredible staff of folks at Ray's Plumbing? These gents' have done work for my disabled wife and I now for the past two years. They saved us hundreds of $'s plus my friends of the mountains. We have an elderly, retired and disabled, single, military vet living across from our place. The rusted galvanized pipes above her hot water heater had burst! Water shooting EVERYWHERE folks! This poor lady came over, in her walker! And, was frantic! She asked me to come over to her place. I could hear the water shooting out on to her back porch as we approached. I called Ray. Yes, the OWNER. And, he answered, as he ALWAYS does! I told him her situation. I myself was a plumbers apprentice decades ago. So, I knew by just looking at it that. It WASN'T good. And most likely, would be expensive. This was old galvanized plumbing. I simply asked if Ray could give this dear old gal a free quote? Not expecting or promising anything to her of course. God bless Ray,... He tells me, "I will give her a free estimate, and have one of my guys there in 30 minutes" The man made her a priority due to her desperate situation. And, he was on a another job! And thirty minutes later? We actually timed it! JD rolls up, Ray and Joe follow. I told the guys up front. "This dear old woman doesn't have much money" And," I don't expect you guys to anything for free". Still, after knowing this? Without hesitation, they IMMEDIATELY and temporarily, stopped her leak. And the next morning? They finished the job. They CAN'T do this for everyone in this situation. I realize that. They WOULDN'T be in business long if they did. Right? But, this dear gal actually thanked me with, 'tears in her eyes' Truth. Saying how patient they were with her. How friendly and caring in explaining the repairs to her. And how great full she was to me, that Ray and Joe charged her VERY little! And in comparison to the real and actual damage and labor costs? She hardly had to pay anything. She doesn't know that. But , Ray and Joe and I know this. So,thank you guys for going above and beyond, what you would usually be able to do. But, I want our mountain community folks to know, when you are doin' GREAT things for us up here. Providing great, personal and professional, service yet AGAIN! For your community! You guys simply... Joe and Jay from Ray's Plumbing did two jobs for us. The first was to clear our main sewer line from the cabin, and the second was to replace a section of pipe that they discovered had broken to allow for root intrusion. They got us clear enough to get through the July 4th holiday weekend, but they returned the following Tuesday to dig up and replace the bad pipe. I'm never a fan of the disruption that comes with major home repairs, and fixing the pipe would require digging in a basement area where the floor had literally been replaced the week before. We were asking a lot, but they did their hot and difficult job in limited space, and there were very few signs of disturbance when they finished. Throughout both visits they kept us informed about what they were seeing and how they suggested to fix what they found. I was amazed at the high tech equipment they used to do their jobs...gone are the days of just wrenches and pipe cutters. Perhaps even better than having a hard time telling they were even here is that the cost was what they quoted...no surprises. As part-timers on the mountain, we've had a hard time finding reliable people when needs arise. I won't have to look for another plumber! read more

The guy that came out was the laziest cry baby I have ever met. Would not answer any questions directly. Literally lied and made up an excuse so he didn't have to do a home warranty repair. I have very recent inspection reports that I trust way more than an idiot poking around for a few minutes, not saying what is wrong, just saying "it's been broken a long while and home warranty won't repair it." Funny, because they are sending a real company out to repair it. This guy was just mad he was too stupid to look up where I lived before he came out and then didn't want to drive out to do the repairs later so he tried to make up some story without answering basic questions like how long did he think the unit was broken just kept saying "it's been like that a long time". Well, how long idiot? If I had inspection reports done less than 2 weeks ago saying it was fine, but then you provide no proof and tell me not to call you and just call home warranty, then it's your word against the actual professional home inspector who provided evidence, where you just poked around and showed no proof or explanation of your work. Before you try to reply with some more nonsense and lies why don't you try showing some actual evidence otherwise you are just going to look just as stupid as you obviously are. read more

These guys were great. Every time I called I spoke directly with Ray who was super friendly and helpful. We needed a valve replaced before Home Depot would install our dishwasher and Ray had his guys Steve and Maurice out here within an hour. They got the job done quick and things didn't work out with Home Depot so I called Ray back and he had Steve and Maurice back here quickly to get our dishwasher installed as well. Rays PLUMBING IS AWESOME Best Plumbing Company ON THE MOUNTAIN https://www.raysplumbing.net/ Our first job was a pipe repair on copper pipe that developed a pin hole leak from a small rock that had settled against main pipe on our pipe outside between the main meter and our home. We called many companies all week trying to handle job and Rays PLUMBING arrived 3pm on a Friday on memorial day long weekend and fixed it right away . Joe was amazing and got us whole again that day. We then decided to replace our copper pipe from street to house with a 1 inch flexible pipe. Big job requiring digging up our paver stone driveway and patio. Joe made sure trench was neatly and exactly dug to service the pipe replacement and kept he jobsite specific and neat. We had our main sewer line clog with roots, the sewer was backing up into the downstairs shower and toilet. Rays Plumbing came out and using their high tech equipment diagnosed exactly where the issue was. They dug out the problem area replaced the pipe and destroyed the roots in that area, problem solved. Early this Saturday morning and hopped into the shower, I was unpleasantly awoken by a very cold shower. No hot water! I went downstairs to the hot water heater & found a leak. This is not how I expected by Saturday to roll. I began looking for a local plumber with a good reputation online and found Ray's Plumbing. I'm so glad I did. We called 909.501.2593 and Ray answered the phone. It's so refreshing to not deal with voice mail, etc. Ray listened intently as we described the problem, asked about the heater size and manufacturer. Ray provided a fair, fixed, price and scheduled the service later on Saturday. I felt relieved and appreciated the rapid response and simplicity. Ray is the best. Best plumber on the mountain. Best plumber in SoCal. Best plumber period. In a past life I was a contractor and I'm real picky about who I hire. The first time we hired Ray was on an emergency exterior pipe burst on a property we had just acquired a week before in the dead of winter. He showed up asap, addressed the problem by shutting the valve and made a recommendation for repair later in the spring after the thaw. He could have easily tried to turn a quick buck on us, but chose to build a relationship based on trust instead. Not only did we have him back after the thaw for that minor repair, but during our renovation we discovered that we'd need a full repipe for our higher end STR. Ray was by far the easiest choice we've made throughout the entire rehab. Pricing was fair, especially considering the level of quality of the work (do you know how hard it is to find REAL trade masters these days!?!) and came with a warrantee. Beyond the skill, what says it all for me is how long his crew have been working for him. His team is highly skilled and they aren't hopping from one company to the next every couple months. I called to get an estimate on some sewer line root balls found during inspections when I bought my house a few months ago. Not only did they come out the next day to inspect they also were able to do the repair work. Next day work is unheard of these days and they were much more reasonable on the pricing than the original inspector's estimate. My shower valves needed to be replaced and they were behind the remodeled tile from 10 years ago. Ray's crew was here about an hour after my frantic call for help. They came, assessed the situation and told me, "Anything's possible (to fix)," and got to work! My tile had to be chipped out and Steve did an AMAZING job of chipping those little suckers out to make the work area more "workable." They spent about an hour doing a job that would have taken me 3 days! Very professional, very honest, and a very Rad shower fix! Joe and Steve came by and assessed my low pressure problem. They quickly identified that it was my regulator and then drove back to their office in Crestline so they could replace the broken valve that same day. They came promptly back and were in and out quickly. Now water is flowing great! They even offered to go out my back door and climb up a big hill so they didn't track dirt in my house. Ray installed a new water heater for us on an emergency basis a year ago. His crew was fast, professional and took care to install a pan under the water heater (there wasn't one there before). One of the pipes connected to the water heater failed a couple of weeks ago and Ray was at our home within two hours to replace the pipe. His service is top notch, and he stands behind his work. He didn't charge us for the failed pipe or the service call. In a community where so many contractors don't show up or perform questionable work at exorbitant prices, Ray is a Shining Star!!
