I received a very quick response to my inquiry for movers. The representative was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I was given several options as far as pricing options. I booked the date of my move but they were still willing to work with me as I wasnt quite sure if the move date. On the date of my move the movers, Jamie and Kevin called to let me know they were on their way. They helped me more than words can say. I was moving across country and going from a 2 bedroom apartment into a small U-Haul pod to be transported. They took they stuff I said I did not want to keep down to the dumpster for me (I lived on a second floor and am disabled). I had packed some of my boxes very heavy since I was limited on space and they were so understanding. Once the truck was loaded, they made a stop at the goodwill to unload more furniture I couldn't take Upon arrival to my son's house(where the pod was) my stuff was unloaded and packed into the pod. Jamie somehow, to my amazement, managed to get all my stuff packed into a very small pod. No space was wasted!! With all of that my final price was not much more than the price I was quoted. The folks at Gilbert Moving and Storage saved us from a possible moving disaster. We were initially referred to a different moving company by our realtor. I scheduled with them but had to cancel due to a change in our move-out date. They couldn't accommodate us on our new date. Thankfully, I found Gilbert Moving and Storage through my own internet search. Long story short, the buyer of our home changed our closing date FIVE times and then refused to allow us time to move out on the final close of escrow day. Sandra and her team were soooo understanding of our situation. She never bulked about rescheduling and never tried to charge us extra for the date change. On our actual move-out day she was able to schedule us for the afternoon after her crew had already completed two other moves. The team leader called to ask if he could bring 5 men since it was so late in the day and we had a large house. Perfect!! All 5 men worked their hearts out stopping only long enough to get some water. These men worked over six hours straight lifting heavy boxes, etc. after already having moved two other clients earlier in the day. They were still able to maintain a sense of humor. Always polite, respectful, courteous, friendly, and never complained. I highly recommend this company and would give them 10 stars if I could. read more

Our family just completed a move from Gilbert to a new home in Eastmark/Mesa. Our two story 4600 square foot Gilbert house had a lot of things to move: dishes, large TV sets, clothes, pictures, tools, furniture, beds, mattresses, refrigerators, and loads of boxes we packed. And some of our stuff for our new home was located in a mini storage. Wow! Overwhelming. But Gilbert Moving Manager Joseph met with us and told my wife: Stop worrying; we will handle everything and our fee will be very affordable. That all turned out to be true. The crew worked until morning until late at night on day one. On day two a large crew showed up and packed boxes and boxes of my wife's precious china, dishes, antiques, nic nacs; everything fragile went thoroughly protected into those boxes which later that day showed up at our new home. Not one thing was broken. The charges were very reasonable. The work ethic and level of care were the ultimate. And we worked with the same staff members for 3 days on a schedule we defined and they honored. It was a lot to do but we are very pleased that we were fortunate to be referred to a local company that does such excellent work. read more

Jacob came out to review my items for the quote and from the moment I spoke with him on the phone, I had a feeling I was not just another move job to him. Saundra was my move coordinator and she did a top notch professional job. She even accommodated two date changes as I was moving to another state closing on a house during the Christmas holiday. Jerry, Louis, Eric and Tony moved us today and did an amazing job!!! Scheduling was easy with the office, all fees explained appropriately. We received a phone call to confirm from the office a few days before. The guys were actually about an hour early which was fabulous for being the second move of their day and completed ours one hours earlier than estimated! The guys protected the door frame, floor and took extra care padding furniture - mounds better than our last movers!! (We found so much damage!) They also did an outstanding job with the extra stop to pick up a large amount of storage items. We were concerned they wouldn't fit it all in the truck as the last crew had to take TWO trips! We shouldn't have doubted...because they got it all in with room to spare. They were courteous, professional and all around great crew to work with. While we don't plan to move again for a very very long time, we recommend them to anyone. They were a breath of fresh air in the midst of many things that have gone askew with our move! read more

GMS was absolutely fantastic through our entire move process. The bid process was easy and the price quoted by GMS was better than the rest. THat and the many positive reviews already in place made the decision an easy one. Jacob, our liaison through the process, was very informative, friendly, and was very willing to assist when issues arose; we were forced to do a last-minute reschedule but he and the staff at GMS worked with me to make it happen. He also checked in through the entire move which was very positive. The "J-Crew" of Jamie James, and John that performed the packing/moving were outstanding. They worked incredibly hard yet retained a very pleasant demeanor throughout, making this stressful experience much better. We had no damage or lost item issues whatsoever. Had our second move with Gilbert Moving and storage on 5/18/2022. We requested Jaime and his crew because we were impressed with their work when we moved from SC to Arizona. Jaime, James, Desi (De$i) and Quinton showed up on time for what was going to be a long day. This was not a simple move as it involved 3 stops to fill 2 trucks before the final destination and unloading. As expected Jaime and crew did a fantastic job and used great care handling all of our stuff. They worked quickly and efficiently and their teamwork was on point to handle the more challenging situations. They also moved some stuff for us from one floor to another even though it wasn't going onto the truck. Working with Gilbert Moving & Storage could not have been a better experience. There was friendly, responsive communication throughout the process. On moving day, the crew could not have been better. Our items were handled with care and clearly respected by each person. Each seemed to have a specialty and teamwork was apparent throughout. Due to the amount of furnishings and belongings and the complexity of disassembling and reassembling, the move took about 4 hours longer than anticipated, yet the attitude of the individuals never varied from the moment they entered our home to the moment they left at 8pm. There was never a sense of irritation on the part of anyone and our items could not have been given better care and the cost was well within budget. After meeting with the appraiser I was convinced Gilbert Moving and Storage was the company I should go with. I have never been more right! They offered me a fair price right from the start. Explained exactly what they would do and about how long it would take. Their crew showed up right on time, took great care to careful with all of our furniture. We were moving a four bedroom two story house so they had a lot of work to do. We have moved many times over the years and this experience was the best by far over even the national companies. We are Springdale Village,an assisted living community.We needed to move our residents from their current apartments to their newly remodeled apartments.We made a phone call to Gilbert moving and storage,Saundra was more than willing to send a crew of volunteers to help us. They arrived in a timely manner and we're very professional and kind to all of our residents, they were making jokes with them and helping them to feel comfortable in their move. Movers Jerry and Louis were two of the most hard working men I have ever met. They came in, and after Jerry put us at ease, explaining how the move would be handled, went right to work. Amazing customer service from beginning to end! Joel was extremely helpful in getting move set up and really worked with us to find the best rate! He also followed up with us regularly to offer assistance and finalize our reservation. The guys who came out to facilitate the move were also super great! They were extremely efficient and even finished early, helping us get a lower rate than our initial quote! We had a 10x15 storage unit FILLED from TOP TO BOTTOM, including multiple heavy items and they got the entire thing loaded in 37 min flat! Quoted me almost $1400 , 3 movers, 6.5 hrs to move about 14 pieces of big furniture. The person quoting me didn't listen and tried to upsell me on moving the whole house, which I didn't need and expressed multiple times. Then told me there's a 3.9% fee if I use a card, but then could magically wave it if I booked now. Felt like a complete scam. Just had another company come move my big furniture with TWO movers and was done in 2.5 hrs and I was charged less than half. Highly recommend getting other quotes before going with company. Update responding: your rep came to my house and was in person. There are zero inaccuracies in my experience. Quit scamming folks with high rates and pressuring them with in person reps. read more

This company is amazing! They were professional, friendly, accommodating and extremely helpful with my situation from the moment I called and spoke with Sandra. I used them to move someone else, that ended up being a bit of a difficult situation and unfortunately needed a lot of additional help with packing. From getting the quote, to booking, getting confirmation the day before and then getting a call that the movers were on their way and an ETA was given. Jerry, Kevin and Nick showed up and got right to work. One rolled out runners on the floors and covered hand rails. Taking a little extra time to do some prep work goes a long way. Gilbert Moving and Storage provided us with an excellent move. Our crew was Jamie, Eric and Jordan and they did everything possible to make our move as easy as possible. They spent 11 hours packing, moving and unpacking us and only took one unbilled 30 minutes for a quick meal. They worked tirelessly to ensure nothing was damaged and nothing was. Our $5000 grandfather clock was my biggest concern and Jamie made sure is was securely wrapped and the mechanism protected; it still keeps perfect time and arrived without a scratch.
