Sandra was so understanding and flexible when my wife and I had to modify our move date due to unforeseen circumstances. When we finally did the actual move, the experience was great. My experience with this company was the absolute best. From the quote and sales process through the move they were flawless. They took time to explain, answer questions and follow up before the move. Whether it was Wendi, Jessica or Jessie in the office they were always helpful, friendly and responsive. As for the move day, it was likewise perfect. We normally move ourselves but we were going from a house to an apartment and storage unit. We decided this was too big of a move to do ourselves so I called Gilbert Moving and Storage. So glad we did. From the first phone call to the actual move everything went so smooth. The price was very reasonable and the movers were wonderful. They took such good care of our furniture and tools when loading the truck. They even delivered to our apartment first and made sure our large chaise couch fit in the living room, then to our storage unit to finish unloading. Super responsive and great crew. We just moved our 2 story 4100 sq foot/4 car garage home and Jesse suggested 2 trucks and 4 guys. I'm glad we did because as it was, it was a 12 hour evolution. As a Realtor and homeowner, I need a mover that I can trust to take care of clients and also for my own personal moves. This past weekend, I posted a personal move need on YELP, just a few items(2 heavy) moved within about a mile. GM&S responded to my request quickly, sent two capable men and came out on a Sunday morning. Several companies did respond however their timeframe to complete the job and their pricing were not acceptable for my needs. I spoke to Jesse at GM&S, who was very courteous, receptive, trusting and professional. His team completed the move in an hour and went above and beyond what most movers provide, with extra care spent on the moved items, as well as both homes. If they can treat me this good, I definitely recommend them to my real estate clients and friends as well. read more

They moved my large items in my house, a golf cart, a huge sleep number bed and filled up the moving truck with a lot of smaller items from my shop and garage. Not reliable, poor customer care, I had a terrible chance to make my request to this company. I contacted this company and talked to Sandra, from very far and asked them to resort and shrink wrap my shipment. I encouraged them to pay a visit to the items before confirming the job and she agreed upon to do it the day after. The day after, I could not talk to Sandra, and they referred me to Jessica who confirmed to me that they can do the job and sent me the estimate. I signed the estimate and sent her back and I paid the required deposit by my credit card right away. She agreed to make the job in the next day after coordinating with the warehouse keeper. Two days passed and no one called me. So, I contacted them again and a new lady talked to me and she said that the business owner believes that the quotation is not correct and they have to add two hours more job to it. I complained that we have already came to contract when I signed and paid for deposit and they accepted my payment and the job verbally. Since then, few very precious days have passed and nobody from their side contacted me yet. I decided to contact again and I could talk to Jessica again. She apologized for being late responding to me but insisted that they have to revise the quotation. I denied the increment and decided not to continue with them. My observation were: - They do not handle customers fairly and caring. Every time a new staff with new language appears. - They change their terms of contract whenever they want and they could not be trusted for no only their words but also their written terms and conditions. - The do not care about the timing, as they left me in silence and I just could get updates when I contacted them. I do not recommend this company for any business especially when timing and pricing is an issue. read more

Back in March of 2021 my family and I moved from our Gilbert home to a new home in Chandler. I contacted a local moving company about the move and they were not able to accommodate me on my requested dates. They supplied me with the name and number of Gilbert Moving and Storage. They were able to accommodate me on my move dates, and the team of movers they sent were top notch! Many thanks go out to Jerry, Kevin, Joe, and Justin! They were very careful when moving all items, especially large breakable items, yet were expedient in their work. They efficiently packed the moving truck to prevent a second trip and unpacked the truck and setup furniture with the same level of care. On top of that they were very courteous and kind. I'm all for local businesses! Since they had the cheapest rate when I was searching for movers, wanted to give them a try. Joseph and his partner did a great job moving our home from Chandler to Gilbert! We hired them to move our big items. They used cushions to protect the door walls, wrapped up all our dressers and fragile items, and even rolled out a carpet in our new home so our floors wouldn't get dirty! We had asked them if they could remove their shoes when going into the bedrooms with carpet and they were happy to do so without any complaints or taking their time! Great customer service and didn't take their sweet time moving our home. Fast, efficient, and very friendly! Even though we don't plan on moving anytime soon, I would recommend them and use them again in a heartbeat! read more

What a great experience with Gilbert Moving, the appointment was set up with ease, the guys showed up right on time and were very professional and friendly and did not waste any time getting my furniture wrapped up and loaded on the truck. I had many more boxes than I expected to have, and was concerned the storage space I was moving to wasn't large enough. The guys were very careful and organized and were able to fit everything into it, with some room left over. I used Gilbert Moving & Storage to move my three bedroom home. They arrived on time and quickly got to work. Jerry communicated with me throughout the process to make sure I knew what was going on. They did a great job wrapping all of my furniture and handling it with care--including my piano and pinball machine. They also did a good job of paying attention to making sure each box went to the correct location of my home. My move hit a snag when my home purchase did not record until 4pm, but Jerry and his team were patient and waited with me until we got the green light to start unloading the moving truck. They even cut me a little slack on the pricing for the time that we had to wait for the sale to record. My only recommendation is to make sure you have your checkbook ready for payment because they do have a surcharge for paying with a debit/credit card. I did not know about this beforehand, but Jerry was understanding and gave me time to find a checkbook to render payment. All in all, I would 100% recommend them for a move. read more

These guys just left my new house (10 p.) after spending 15 hours straight moving us, on a 115 degree day without a single negative comment. Two full truck loads! Unlike just about every other service business these days, they showed up on time, actually a few minutes early. These guys were an amazing team and worked really well together. Worst moving company ever, first let me say I am a realtor. I would NEVER refer them to any client. Most of my kitchen stuff is broken (they asked if I had a receipt) My lateral file is so bent I can't open the drawers. There "top" guy came and took pictures of ALL the broken stuff and delivered a box that was missing for days. The owner still hasn't done anything, the cost of the move was far less than all my things that are broken, busted & smashed. They also tried to bill me for a 10 X 30 unit and stuffed it in a 10 X 20. It wasn't until I asked to add something to my unit they admitted it was 10 X 20. They still after 3 months have not refunded any money and have no intention of doing so.... read more
