This place is always extremely busy with patients. If you find a spot online to get in, you need to book it. Otherwise as a walk in you may wait an hour or so before getting called back. I have always been a walk in knowing it may be a wait, but if I'm sick I'm not going all over the place and try to get in. I have not had any complaints yet about this facility nor any of the Physicians that have treated me. I will continue to come here since I like the Staff and the Front Desk. read more

Dr. Gilbert is wonderful! I had an emergency root canal and was anxious about it of course and wasn't looking forward to it. He walked me through the whole process which alleviated my anxiety as I knew what to expect. Was in and out pretty quickly and feel great! Yesterday I had a much dreaded root canal of which I had procrastinated on as long as possible. Dr. Clay and his staff were wonderful! The Christian music playing overhead helped me to relax and made the procedure much more bearable. He was confident yet gentle and after less than 45 minutes, he was all done! He reassured me to call him should I need anything at all. After the procedure, I walked to my car only to find my battery was dead. While we waited on AAA, the receptionist came out to move her car and upon seeing that we were stranded, she immediately started looking for boosting cables. When she didn't find any, she returned to the office and retrieved the hygienist who loaned us a pair. Between the 4 of us we got my car started and I thanked them profusely. I got a big hug as we departed and my faith in humanity was restored again. If you're in need of an Endodonist in the Louisville area, I would strongly recommend them. The procedure was as painless as a possible and where else could you go to get a root canal, a battery boost and a hug!!! read more

Dr. Clay is the BEST!!! I was referred to him by my dentist for a root canal . He was very honest the tooth couldn't be saved . He was kind and gentle. He would be the only place I would go for a root canal. The staff were great too . If you need a root canal this is the place to go. read more

Really nice endodonist. He did a root canal for me back in August of 2018. Once I got to my dentist to have the crown put on (in late November) and discussed it still being sensitive with my dentist she suggested I see Dr. Clay again to have it looked at prior to putting the crown on. I will need to do a review of Dr. Crowdis, my dentist since she was so professional and sweet. That is another review. Back to the root canal story and Dr. Clay. So I see Dr. Clay 4-5 months after the original root canal and she basically does the same procedure again to see if the tooth was cracked and I would have to have it pulled. He spent as much time with me the second time as for the original root canal and did not charge me another nickel for which I was grateful. He deduced that I have a inclusion in the tooth (I think that was the term) and he packed the area in hopes that it would heal itself. I went back tow weeks later for him to check it and since I still have some sensibility he is recommending I just have a permanent filling placed in the tooth in lieu the costly crown since I might end up loosing the tooth. The point of my review is that he is through, professional, explained the process to me, did not rush me and answered all my questions and mostly prescribed a plan on treatment that made sense to me and seemed a common sense approach. Plenty of parking, staff in the office are sweet and helpful. For a root canal I am giving the Doc and his office a 5 star rating. read more

Dr. Clay seemed to be very knowledgable. He was kind and did his best to save you money. My fiance and I went there because his dentist said he needed a root canal. Dr. Clay saved us money by assuring us all that was needed was a filling. Dr. Clay has a state of the art x-ray machine and thus had a better image to judge. The receptionist was friendly. The chairs in the waiting room were uncomfortable, they were wooden with no padding. read more

I was referred to Dr. Clay by my dentist for a possible root canal and I was in tremendous pain. First, the office staff was reassuring and professional. Dr Clay thoroughly examined the problem area to ascertain which tooth was causing the problem. He completely numbed the area and I felt no pain during or after the procedure. While he was performing the root canal, he would stop and use a camera to view the procedure on two monitors to make sure he was getting all of the roots related to the tooth. I left feeling so relieved that my tooth was saved and no longer a problem. I highly recommend this endodontist. read more

No doubt his many years of experience made the whole process considerably smoother and less painful than it might otherwise have been. While no one would ever voluntarily seek a root canal, when you need one, you want it done right. Dr. Gilbert proved to be not only highly skilled at his work, but also compassionate.
