Gary has an amazing sports card shop right in the heart of Natick right off Route 9. The location is one of the smaller shops you will find in the area but it is jam packed with tons of cards, memorabilia and autographs. Gary has some amazing prices on items and is willing to negotiate with you. Unlike some other stores Gary isn't mainly focused on the bottom dollar he cares more about keeping the hobby alive! He also provides free cards for the kids when they get good grades. I highly recommend this stores not only is one of the best stores in the area! An innocent walks in here, looking for specialty trading cards (or perhaps to sell some cards at a fair price). You can find baseballs signed by famous people (yes, even the Big Bam is featured), sneakers worn by basketball players, jerseys and all manner of other great sports-related gifts. What a WONDERFUL store! The owner was incredibly helpful and kind, as my 9 year old looked through tons of cards to choose some that he liked. We came from California, and my son had some Red Sox cards he wanted to 'trade', but he didn't want to trade them all, and the owner was wonderfully kind and patient with him. Thanks for making our trip to the area so wonderful. My 9 year old is SUPER excited about his new cards! Next time we're in town we will be back to the store, and have already let our friends who live in the area know to share the word with the folks in their neighborhood. Thank you! read more

I remember going to Gilbert's when it was in Needham! We're talking over 20 years ago! I used to run up to the store before it opened on Saturdays and Sundays and spend all day hanging out I'd talk sports, buy a pack of basketball cards, watch people open packs, get Gary a sub or a slice from Needham House of pizza. Artie!!! I'd have tons of store credit built up. I'd buy a Larry Bird card or a cheaper Jordan card! I'd always ask to go into the basement or to see some Babe Ruth cards! He let me in the basement a few times lol. Gary built his store into a real hangout spot for the kids in Needham and it was safe and fun. Gary always made it such a fun place to be. As a youngster I couldn't wait to be the first one at the store. I just loved hanging out there! I was really sad to see Gary leave Needham but I'm happy he's still in business and that people are still getting to enjoy Gilbert's read more

Awesome card and collectable store that will have everything you are looking for. Went in there not to long ago as I was getting back into collecting and I found this to be just the place that I needed. Gary prides himself on being honest and taking care of his customers. Every time I am in there are always a bunch of kids getting free cards as Gary does a daily game for them to be a part of. What a find! I was looking for a "baseball card store" to possibly engage my younger daughter into the hobby, as she is a big Red Sox/baseball fan. We ventured into Gilbert's, met Gary the owner, and lesss than a year later my two daughters are happily developing their baseball card collections - each directed in her own respective style and taste, and my collection as a youth has been brought back out from mothballs to share with my girls. EVen my wife (albeit somewhat reluctantly when she sees our cards spread out around the house) has joined in on the fun. The store is exactly what I always hoped such a store would be as a kid, but never found. Gary is a great guy, engages and teaches my kids and now knows them each so well, he saves and makes recommendations to each when they come in. We visit the store at least 2x/month and really have a lot of fun, all thanks to Gary. He has tremendous patience with the slew of kids calling his name and asking questions (often the same ones over and over). I'm not sure how he does it. He always takes the time to explain the art of collecting to my kids, and the others who will listen. We are big fans and always look forward to our visits to the store. read more
