Stopped by Gilbert's Tiki Bar while out on the boat. We were able to pull right up to the dock, which made it super convenient. We only grabbed a slice of key lime pie, but it was delicious--creamy, tart, and the perfect Florida Keys dessert. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The waterfront atmosphere makes this a great place to relax for a bit before heading back out on the water.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]
One of favorite sports in the keys. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambiance is perfect for family and friends[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] . Or to be with a loved one spending the day out. The service is good and the food is delicious too. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I recommend to come a weekend and listen to the live band.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It's a nice place to come I recommend.
Always a pleasure. After the jet skis we came over for lunch and drinks. Bahama mama, Gilbert's punch, and pina coladas were all well received. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The band is playing, volume isn't prohibitively high, but you do raise your voice a bit to talk. You don't have to scream though.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service is excellent, you never feel rushed here, even though the food came out really quickly. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Laid back island feeling you'd expect. Candelario is phenomenal, made us feel right at home.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They do charge an automatic 18% gratuity and a 3% credit card fee; the credit card fees popping up everywhere annoys the he'll out of me. The gratuity is probably fair though, since I'm sure they get a lot of tourists that aren't as accustomed to tipping. 10/10, as always.

Beers were cold and went down easy- even though on the day we went, they had run out of IPA - my preferred. And the pain in the ass (rum runner mixed with piña colada) was delicious too! I recommend the coconut shrimp and the smoked fish dip - both absolutely delicious. I will keep coming back!

We visited Gilbert's to watch a tribute band. The band was fun and enjoyable. The mahi sandwich was absolutely delicious. The service was quick and friendly.
Their food need seasoning really bad [[HIGHLIGHT]]the only reason is open is because of the view.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Drinks terrible stick to the beer and soda. customer service is great that i give them credit. They need to improve and add some condiments and alcohol to the drink.
As Miami locals, always ready to take the drive down to keys paradise on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. As we drove, we decided to do a quick stop by Gilbert's (on the right hand side before crossing the bridge off to key largo) for a drink and a bite. We sat all the way by the shore line overlooking the bay. Great music was playing, great ambiance all around while sipping on our rum runners and enjoying conch fritters. We only had conch fritters as a quick bite because we were going to continue driving south . The consistency of the fritters were excellent and taste was just right. Service was excellent. The waitresses were ever nice and attentive to giving us best service. For sure, we will continue to go back.
Gilbert's Resort is that first "official stop" when you're arriving to Key Largo. Great place to stop in, stretch your legs from the drive, and grab a cold one and some food. They have live music, sit where you like and they will give you service. You can even sit by there little beach area that is super cute. Family oriented yet the side by the bar is very much fun with a band. Sit by the water, enjoy some fresh fish, and continue onward to the rest of the keys. You can also stay at their resort too!
I love Gilbert's Tiki Bar. We found it by exploring the area. A giant Tiki Hut right by the water with a small private sandy beach with people swimming, jet skiing, boating, and paddleboarding. Not to mention beautiful birds flying around and some landing on the beach and gibing us a show! And a pier to go walk on. Just a great setting. Then there is their delicious food! We had the Yellowtail Snapper and a Mahi Basket. Both were very good! My daughter had a Coconut Mojito to relax by. Our server was Christian, who was friendly and attentive. We love this relaxing, beautiful, off the highway Tiki restaurant and look forward to our next visit. Oh yeah, and they are dog friendly as long as your dog is on a leash and behaves.

Absolutely breath taking.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]We went on a Thursday so it wasn't busy at all but they still had live music.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I must admit I was already pretty wasted by the time I got here. I do remember the clam chowder being pretty good. Nothing like San Francisco chowder but still good. The coconut shrimp was delicious as hell. And we also ordered the sampler and met some people at the bar. Don't remember much about the food after that. Those drinks were strong. One thing I do remember is almost being stranded. We took a Lyft because obviously we were drinking so responsibilities you know. But then the Lyft could not get back to Gilbert's because of road work. One of the employees was nice enough to drop us off at the gas station near by so we could get home!! 10/10 service!!! Definitely will be back read more

Love coming here with friends or family even if it's to spend the day. The little beach is perfect for the kids to hangout and play while parents are only a few steps away enjoying themselves as well. Food and drinks are always great and waitresses are always very helpful. Perfect place for a family day out or even a date night to watch the sunset. read more

We have been here several times through the years, our latest visit was just this week. It's a stress free activity for me to do with my kids, on my own, and a fun activity to do with family and friends as well. Tiki Bar is right by the water, I love. Free parking. Plenty of tables and chairs with umbrellas on the sand. Beach area is small, which I don't mind. Ordering drinks and food while you are relaxing and the kids are playing in the little beach area feels like you're on vacation. Service is usually good. Sometimes there's live music. We have never stayed in the resort, as we are less than one hour from here, but for those traveling from far and probably going to Key West, that's an option. Going later in the day and catching the sunset makes a trip down here extra nice. read more

Just had lunch there for the first time in 10 years. The frozen rum runner was 100% sugar. The fish dip came with 6 wontons and some veggies to dip with. I had a $25 hog fish sandwich w/a bag of chips. The fish was a very small piece and totally hidden under the lettuce and tomato. It was tasty but not for the price. My husband was happy with his fried mahi basket and he shared his tartar sauce with me since I never got mine, even though the $1 charge was certainly on the bill; $90 before tip. We sat at the bar and the sever was fine. I don't think we will be back anytime soon. read more

This place is so chill, great vibe, the staff is awesome and attentive. And their mahi sandwich is soooo good. It doesn't look like much but they have mastered it. Definitely a spot to visit to enjoy some beers food and live music that they have pretty often read more

Live music everyday. Tables right on the sand. The drinks and service is great even on a Saturday. The kids were playing in the water while the adults sat at the table. The oysters were fresh, hogfish stuffed with crab was huge and fresh. Fish fingers and sweet potato fries were crispy, scoop of lobster in the chef salad was good too. We are a group of 8 traveling from Long Island NY to Islamorada . We always love a stop for a good pina' at Gilbert's! When we arrived they were closed because of a problem with a pipe bursting the previous evening. Andres was very accommodating and said he could make us the tasty beverage! A lot of people would have turned us away. We appreciate Gilbert's and Andres going above and beyond! Thank you so much! Catch ya on the way back!!! read more

I loved our waitress! Loved the ocean breeze, palm trees, and the view. The food came out super quickly! The service was great--refilling waters and checking in. The food was just decent for the expense. We all four got sandwiches, three waters, one iced tea, and one mozzarella stick order for $100. The fish tacos were good, but the chips on the side just had pico with them--salsa or guac or cheese or something would have been nice. Parking is a nightmare--we basically parked WAY back on the road (basically on the ramp for Route 1)--more than 1/2 mile walk. No sidewalk. read more

Very nice atmosphere. Live music and the kiddos loved it too! Food was great - husband got the burger and he enjoyed it. Big portion ! Kids enjoyed chicken fingers and fries . They were able to share which was awesome. Service was great! Self seating and then we were greeted immediately! Beach is a walk away ! We will be back! Maybe even stay at the resort :) read more

This place is always a good place to Get some simple food, some sunshine and some alcohol through the veins..... the service is usually always good I had a server who quickly set the menu and recommended a drink..... I came here quite a few times so I usually get what I get which is the coconut shrimp with the orange marmalade, it goes so well together and I always get some Fresh oysters they are so good and so fresh.... My drink was the Cadillac margarita... some Patron silver, Grand Marnier, and some lime juice..... the mood is so relaxing the days not even hot and the winds blowing... definitely relaxing...... music playing and winding down in the shade.... read more
