I was not happy with this place, it was such a money grab. I paid for my son to have the kids steak, I asked for Rice as a side substitute but they wouldn't accommodate. Then I ordered seafood nachos, I asked for some extra pico de gallo and the server rang in an appetizer size with chips for $8! All I wanted was extra pico for my nachos. This was an amazing spot for dinner and a sunset! Sit upstairs so you can get the best views. I started with the sunset marg which was pretty sweet - probably would go for a different drink next time. I wanted to sample a bunch of different seafoods so I ended up ordering the ocean bounty bucket! Plenty of food for 1 person and would make a good app for 2. The conch was interesting - I read you should go for cracked conch over a fritter but the fritters were good. Always love a fried shrimp and the scallop was really good as well! The mahi wasn't quite as tender as I wanted. Of course had to end with some key lime pie! My servers were super sweet and helpful with recommendations and I got to sit right next to the balcony. Absolutely enjoyed the beautiful sunset view, live music and had their house specialty rum punch. They blow the conch horn at sunset which was cool. We tried conch fritters everywhere we went and found these to be the best. We also got a slice of their own in house made Key Lime pie. It was a dense cheesecake style that was different than others and so delicious! Wonderful tropical laid back vibe. Definitely would recommend next time I am coming by boat! read more

The food needs work. I wish I'd taken pictures of the food. While everything was edible and the staff was great - the food was pretty average to below average. They started with a nice complimentary bread basket (banana & cranberry) which would be wonderful at breakfast time. We ordered the Buffalo conch fritters - I know weird right?! The sauce was good and spicy - the conch was shoe leather. My husband and I shared the fish trio which was pretty tasty, but the sauce was thick and strangely flavored - with crispy capers My son had the shrimp and chicken linguine. Another oddball sauce. Meat and pasta were good though. For dessert the housemade key lime pie was actually a cheesecake, but delicious. The chef's choice mango cheesecake - not good. We were able to sit wherever we wanted. We decided to sit in a table for four on the first floor, outdoor. Not sure if the second level has inside seating but it was a perfect evening with a nice breeze. We definitely wanted outdoor seating plus the sun was setting. My husband ordered for me a Key Lime Mojito and he had a MoTito. My first Mojito since I'm not an alcohol drinker but it was the perfect drink to relax & recharge. My batteries were fried...lol We also decided to order the Seafood Nachos and it was D E L I C I O U S! The nachos were regular chips. Good but the star of the show was the seafood of course! The fish, shrimp and scallops were seasoned to perfection. It was chef's kiss for real!! I honestly was full with the nachos but I was curious about the Seafood Enchiladas. My husband was still hungry and wanted to try the Ocean Bounty Bucket of fried fish, scallops, shrimp and potato wedges. Oh it also included Conch fritters and a side of cocktail sauce and tartar sauce. Every single bite of everything I tried in that "bucket" was bursting with flavor and fried to a nice crisp. The cocktail sauce (which is never my favorite) was sooo good. I don't know if it's homemade but it was the best I have ever tried. Tartar sauce was pretty good too. I almost didn't have room for dessert BUT I knew I couldn't leave without trying a slice of their homemade Key Lime pie. I figured if the food we ordered was great then I could only imagine what their desserts taste like. I was right. Key Lime Pie 10/10!!! Overall not good. I'm not sure of the good reviews. The service and the view were great but that is where it ended. We stopped by on a whim for some good local seafood. We ordered the conch fritter bites, the catch of the day "Keyribbean Style", and a burger. The fish seemed like it came from the freezer section of the local grocery store and was really bland and "cheap" tasting. The redskin mashed potatoes and vegetables of the day were nothing special. Overall I felt like we were eating a fish dish from a local school cafeteria or hospital. The conch fritters were ok but I have had better at other locations throughout the Keys and the Caribbean. The burger was the only highlight. Do yourself a favor and continue down the highway to somewhere else. read more

I didn't mind as the sun was already setting and most of our dining was when the sun went down. Started with yellowtail ceviche - strong on the citrus and coconut milk. Tasty but a little overwhelming. The Jamaican peel and eat shrimp were really good. Husband had the lobster pasta special. I got trio fish and they came w Mahi, yellowtail and triple tail mmmm. Side of rice and some seasoned squash. Delicious. Husband was very fond of the sunset margarita. The view is great, however, you could only eat upstairs and the windows were locked, meaning the stench of fish is trapped inside and has no way of getting out. The food was honestly not great by any means. I find the amount of 5-star reviews pretty odd considering the experience we had. I strongly recommend going somewhere else. read more

My girlfriend's rice bowl with tuna was awful and no better than a bowl that you get at chipotle. Absolutely horrendous. $35 for that pile of garbage, what a complete waste of money. I wouldn't feed it to my cat! My triple tail fish sandwich was edible but once again for $30 a complete rip. My margarita had zero alcohol in it.. stay away from this place. Restaurant is tucked down a small road shared with another establishment. ...keep driving down the back road, you will run right into it. This restaurant has a great view of the water, better as the sun is going down. The food is one of the best in town. The conch chowder was hearty and the jambalaya was outstanding. It seemed as if service was a little short on staff, but they worked hard to make sure you were taken care of. One of the best places on the island. Incredible indoor, bayside lunch today! My family came here for lunch to enjoy the views on the water and was not disappointed! The restaurant was not busy at all so we got the best table overlooking the water. Our waiter was attentive the entire time. We ordered the coconut shrimp and Bayside Mahi Sandwich. While on our little trip to the Keys, we decided to drop into Bayside Grille and see what they had to offer. This was a 2 story resturant with a beach area with giant beach chairs for photo ops! Also a dock. The lower floor was more casual with a live band and bar area and upstairs was a more elegant dining room with great ocean view. Obviously it was a fantastic sunset view and good food! We didn't need a reservation and we went upstairs to the dining area and were seated directly in front of a fantastic view! Impressive! We ordered the Clams for an appetizer and they were medium size and delicious. I had the Osso Bussco with mashed potatoes. It was good but not the best that I have tasted. It could've been a bit more juicy. My daughter had the Lobster and Crab Cake with mashed potatoes. She loved it. Our server was Melissa and she was very attentive and friendly. We had a nice evening. This is a restaurant with more than just a good view! We came on a Friday night and snuck in to a table facing the ocean (lucky us, perfect timing). While we weren't served right away, they dropped off bread and came back as quickly as they could. As far as I could tell, there were only two servers running the whole show, so we were patient. I got "The Black Pearl" cocktail, which was a piña colada with a rum shot on top. It was fabulous! The food was better than most restaurants with this kind of view. Asked for butter for lobster ( which is normally warm/ liquid) multiple times it showed up solid. The server said it took time to come from the kitchen, yet it was frig cold. Tried the wings, they were just ok. Nothing special. I was told from the local hotels to avoid the place foodwise. I really hope they figure out the food. Great sunset dinner spot. Really quite spectacular sunset. Fun one man band added to the experience (playing Pink Floyd as I type this). The service was ok. I feel that they were really, really slammed. Maybe that's their norm for sunset. Not sure if this was a normal Monday night but crazy for NYs week? Slow but everyone was super friendly and helpful. They were literally fast walking from customer to customer. Smiles all around. The food was ok. Since the same kitchen serves the top floor restaurant too, I had higher expectations. The food was more bar food-like. The ribs were ok. Definitely not fall off the bone and almost chewy. The coconut shrimp, as I saw in some of the reviews from 2019, were too crunchy with the breading and the shrimp themselves were a bit rubbery. Didn't even finish the eight. Last ditch effort with the house key lime pie--It too was just ok. The crust was a bit soggy. Not much key lime flavor. Huge portion though. I have to say it felt like the fish was frozen Vancamp at best and extremely overcooked. The fries were somehow very dry and greasy at the same time. I was very disappointed. But then it let me know why the place was empty on a Saturday night. The restaurant itself was extremely cold. They did help by turning the fan off above our heads. But it didn't help much.
