I wanted to take a moment to thank James in service for his exceptional customer service. About a week ago, my windshield wipers broke in the middle of a downpour on the freeway. It was a very scary experience and I'm lucky we were able to get off the road safely. My first call was to Haselwood Buick, as I live right next to them and it would have been safest to get my vehicle there and not risk driving in the rain again. They told me they had no appointments for over a month and a half. December 29th, in fact. I even mentioned that I saw safety recall notices online in regards to this and could they please look that up. Nope. Rude and uninterested in helping at all. What????? I called Grey Chevrolet to see if they could look at my car instead, though the drive there would be dangerous because it's much further away. They told me to bring my car right in if I could, as this is a safety hazard. I threw in some Rain X and made it there. There was a bad storm and their power was out so they couldn't do much to help in the moment. James was incredibly kind and refused to let us drive our car back home until they could work on it. He got us a ride home from an employee there and promised to look at our vehicle as soon as their power was back on. He called a couple of hours later. Car fixed!! There was a safety notice out for this exact problem and it was fixed right away and for free, and didn't even involve my extended warranty. I am so grateful that James was willing to look this safety recall up, fix my vehicle and offer such wonderful customer service and genuine concern. Does everyone pay $500 or more on diags? Also would be nice if they would be more transparent with where they get their information from. I just wanted the diag to see what was fixable to work on my own truck by myself. They Quoted me over the phone $20,000 in repairs for my 03 Silverado I paid $8000 for. But didn't give me a paper listing any price quote at all. Not trying to be rude but that just sounds ridiculous. Btw all I came in for was a check engine light, oil and coolant leaks and a false engine start. I don't wanna be the guy to leave a bad review but I don't make a lot of money and would at least like to be walked through the process to see if I am actually getting what they want me to pay for. Made an appointment for oil change and tire rotation on my Silverado for 10 o'clock AM. Myself and my four year old son did not leave the dealership until 12:30 PM. Completely ridiculous. When I got there only two people were waiting. I was passed by at least 3 to four people that came after me. This place is awful. This dealer seems to get a lot of bad reviews, and I needed to just say that I have only really good experiences here. I have a 2025 Chevy Blazer EV that needed recall work done. They got me in, had it done in 30 min and then out the door. Super speedy and very polite. THEN I decided to look for yet another new car and met Saydee. Amazing to deal with, prompt with answers and just a very nice person all the way around. She was very informed and didnt mind that I was always on the go and sometimes we had to text vs talk. Would not recommend to anyone buying a vehicle from outside Seattle. I'm in Montana and was talking with Brendan there about a truck that had everything I wanted. Last week, we agreed on a price, and I said I'd pick up this weekend. That was agreed on as the truck had not finished its post delivery inspection. I was waiting for some documents to sign this weekend and today was notified that they already sold the truck. I had made plans to travel to Seattle, they had agreed on a deal and pickup date and now sell it to someone else who probably agreed to pay more for it. His argument was they are a first come dealership. I get they live to sell cars quickly, but when someone has agreed and made plans with the dealership to buy the car, and they blindside you that's just not okay. This dealership sold me a truck with many issues and had refused to repair any of the issues at hand. The replaced the ignition and bcm and did not program them properly resulting in issue after issue. They have had terrible auto end service and deny everything I have to say. The truck they sold me wouldn't start after one week of purchasing it. They took multiple weeks to do anything to it and after they did it has still had many problems. Do not recommend going here as their service advisors are very rude and their mechanics are clearly not knowledgeable enough to repair your vehicles to the standard they should be. This place is terrible!! We are from Denver and my son was looking to buy his first truck. We went here because we went to the others in Port Orchard and this one truck on the Gilchrist lot (a Ram 1500) caught my son's eye. Luis sold us the truck and he was ok. We test drove it, everything was good. A few days later its making a squeaking sound from front passenger side. We play back and forth finally Troy the mechanic says bring it in. We do he calls us and says he cleaned under the carriage and blew it out? Blew what out lol? We drive off the lot and its still squeeking..he says bring it back. We do. Take it home, next day squeaking. Troy said he did everything he could must be a "Dodge thing, maybe a Dodge mechanic will have better luck"lol... Long story short Zach the service manager gets involved and says he called someone at West Hills Dodge and if we don't hear nothing back by the next day to call him. 3 days go by...just FYI that Gilchrist dealership is always empty when we go in there but everytime I called Zach, he is in a meeting or with a customer lol..got a hold of Zach who's says "yea, might want to try calling them yourself" lmaooo! I call West Hills ( got a hold of them right away lol) who run a diagnostic and said the following: Needs new cv joint, control arm, front differential, alignment and heat shield. West Hills Dodge is efficient, very communicative and customer service oriented..Gilchrist was pretty awesome referring us to their competition lol. Never, ever had an issue buying a car until we came across Gilchrist, you would think a family owned dealership would want to make a positive impact on their community and earn their customers trust and business. Buying the extended warranty saved us! Dealing with West Hills and entrusting them to fix the truck lessened the stress..Dealing with Gilchrist? I have bought three cars in my lifetime. When I found the car that I wanted to buy, I contacted the dealership because I did not want to make the drive since it was at port orchard. When we got to the dealership, the car was pulled up front, and the salesman Bill was non forceful but very friendly and helpful, and we got our car within an hour and a half. Sales tax a few percent cheaper than seattle and tacoma. The next day, I got a nail in my back left side wheel, and I could find the universal screw to unlock the wheel to have it fixed with firestone. When I contacted the dealership, they ordered an infiniti key to unlock the wheels for me and was willing to fix the nail and patch it up for no cost. When they realized that they were not able to do patch the wheel, they told me they would replace that wheel for me. I brought it into service today, and to my surprise.I got 4 brand new Michelin tires at no cost, and they also changed my oil and changed my filter. I am really happy with the customer service that they have provided to us and we will sure buy our car in the near future with them again. I recommend this dealership to anyone who is in need of a car because they provide great customer service and they are willing to help work and resolve my issues without the hassel. read more

I had my car towed here because it wouldn't start, it's an 09 Cobalt SS. I figured a Chevy dealer would be able to trouble shoot it very quickly and have it to me fast. They told me my car had a bad computer, they told me it would be 1200 to fix. I opted to purchase my own computer from scoutnet company even though they were very pushy about me using theirs. When the computer got to them, they lied to me about recieving it, even though i had been tracking it, they told me it would take several more days to install (15 min job at most). I told them i would have a tow truck there soon to pick it up. They charged me for 1 hr diagnostic and an oil change. When i got the car to my house i turned the key and the car started an ran?!? It shouldn't of though, the only thing they supposedly had done was a diagnostic reading. I had a check engine light on and it was for a MAF sensor, i looked under the hood and it was unplugged for some reason, i plugged it back in and the car wouldn't start. This told me it was a bad sensor. I think they knew this too. I replaced it and the car was 100% again. But..... i had bought a $450 computer that i didn't need and couldn't return, seems was charged for an incorrect diagnostic from them. Bottom line, i feel that they were shady, and gave me incorrect information that resulted in costing me a lot of money. If I could give negative stars I would, this place is full of idiots in the service department. We took our truck in there about three weeks ago and I told them the issue is the voice assistant keeps randomly going off, which has started happening after the last over the air update. I was ignored by the service advisors for about 15 minutes in the lobby until the manager pointed out how long I'd been standing there. They had my truck for about five hours, and took it on a test drive where they got the error to reproduce for the technician but couldn't figure out why it is happening and they had to escalate the issue to their technical assistance team. At no point did they call me with an update about this, so just before they were about to close I called them asking for any new news and when they might be done. They put me on hold for about 10 minutes and when I got the service advisor I'd worked with that morning he acted totally confused about having my truck and the issue I was describing, he then called me back and told me they had to elevate my issue and they weren't going to hear back from the technical assistance team that day and I'd need to bring the truck back another day. We scheduled another appointment for 3 weeks later, before bringing the truck in we called to see what they were going to do and he told us they were going to check for electrical faults which we told them AGAIN is not the issue this started happening after the last over the air software update. He told us to bring the truck in again, we dropped it off at 8:30 in the morning and didn't hear back at all during the day. We tried to call about 4 o'clock just before they closed. We were put on hold for about 10 minutes again when we finally got through to a service advisor he had no idea what we were talking about so we decided to just drive to the dealership and ask them in person what they had done with the truck. We showed up to the dealership 7 1/2 hours later to realize the truck HADN'T EVEN MOVED FROM WHERE WE PARKED IT THAT MORNING. We asked the service advisor what is going on and we were told that we brought it in 'JUST IN CASE' the technical assistance team needed him to troubleshoot anything additional which they didn't and he still hasn't looked into the over the air update software update at all when we have told him multiple times after that is when this issue started happening. What a giant waste of time, this Gilchrist is clearly the land of misfit toys and have no regard for anyone else's time or money. read more

The salesperson Shonda was excellent. She's the reason for 2 starts rather than 1, the service is a 0- we purchased a used Nissan Rogue, and the washer reservoir wouldn't hold fluid. The first time we brought it to Grey the service put on the schedule, we called Shonda and she said bring it in that day. She got service to "look at it" so service quoted labor and parts for a new pump, thought the pump pushed fluid and it worked. The second time we went in with a pump for them to replace, they said it was the wrong part and then the reservoir is broken. Time was continually wasted, and I fixed the reservoir myself by sealing the crack with some silicone. Never replaced the pump- everything works perfectly fine. read more

We saw one of their cars online and we talked with Steve per email and on the phone about it, we got all the information we needed and decided to take the ferry over to have a look. We were unlucky enough that someone else decided to take a look at the same car as well. Steve had the instinct that they might not buy, he made us comfortable and made sure we were entertained until the other party decided to leave. Steve also made sure that all the papers were prepared, so in case they are walking away, we didn't have to sit around longer to fill out all the forms. I asked for a call towards the end of the day Friday just for an update but I never received one. I recently took my Chevy Express van to them for a simple reprogramming for the security system once they had it in the shop after after over 2 months of having it in their secure a lot they called me within 20 minutes it was running however they called me to inform me that they ran into another snack that the Cadillac converters were removed in their secure lot that they get me a price to replace the catalytic converter Chevy no longer carries the catalytic converters for that model but they can recommend a muffler shop so that I can pay $1,000 per Cadillac converter that was lost on their property in their custody so therefore you take anything to them for a windshield wiper an oil change a tire rotation and take some any additional time they're not responsible for what happens to your vehicle in their possession now if it's anybody else in the world it's on the person that has possession but not Gray Chevrolet of Port orchard they're above being responsible of any kind, read more

Talked with Paul at great length regarding an 08 Chevy dually. He advised me the truck was under recall, could be purchased but couldn't take possession until recall completed. I fully understood. Paul was fully aware we were driving 2 hrs to come check out the truck. When we arrived, he advises us that we CANNOT DRIVE THE TRUCK!!! I am not in the least biased, nor do I have any affiliation towards Grey Chevrolet. I have just been a customer of theirs for over 10 years on and off. I've not ever had a "bad" experience with this dealership, I've only been doing regular Maintenance on my 2004 Silverado. Well, I am now a big time fan of theirs and would like to share why! I bought and installed aftermarket headlights because the old girl could not see very well anymore. Next morning at 5:00 am, I took off for work. I did not get far because my headlights were pointing at the ground and not down road. Long story long, after going to three other Mechanic shops and being turned down due to Covid caused manpower shortages, I was at a loss. I drove to Grey, hoping that a larger Dealership would be better staffed. I went in hoping to FINALLY get an appointment scheduled but the guy behind the counter had other ideas! He inquired about the year and make which I answered. Then, this older gentleman came out from behind his cozy seat and said" let's go look at it!" I was flabbergasted! This employee of Grey Chevrolet and I went out to my truck and he schooled me on how to install new headlights. No assumptions about payment, this man only wanted to help me and that he did! I haved mixed feelings due to my recent experience in August. I've always had normal, good experiences when working with Grey Chevrolet whether it be purchasing my car or asking questions. However, in August I brought my car in and asked to schedule to have everything checked (complete vehicle inspection) though my main concern was with my radiator and coolant. But again, I wanted a full inspection. I ended up being scheduled just to have my radiator looked at, so that was extremely frustrating as I had to wait 2-3 weeks for that appointment only to find out it wasn't what I had asked for. During that radiator inspection, they found out I needed to get my radiator replaced, which I figured as much, but when I received the initial quote from Christoph Waggoner, he told me he would call me within 3 days to confirm the price with me as he needed to reach out to the company selling the radiator. Key thing, he would reach out to me confirming the cost before moving forward....a week past and I hadn't heard from Christoph so I was planning to go over, pick up my vehicle and take it elsewhere for the CVI and radiator work. An hour before I planned to head over they called telling me the vehicle was ready for pick up....I was furious, but kept my mouth shut and picked it up and paid everything. I am very upset with my service, 1. not being scheduled for what I had asked for but mostly 2. the work being done without Christoph or someone calling to confirm the final price as I was promised and for noone calling to give me any updates that the part was infact ordered and work started. DO NOT recommend to anyone who wants to be kept in the loop about work status and costs. I will not be returning. read more

They don't spend alot of money advertising and now I know why!!! They save u money! One thing I found out is they don't charge as much as other dealers for added stuff(example). Gap coverage / line x / glass etching/ warranty /. Etc etc. the other dealers jack it up and are still making more on you for a bigger profit . I like to keep my money!! I was really happy with my Grey Chevrolet experience. My parents have bought their last 3 out of 4 vehicles here (one they bought at a different Chevy dealer they negotiated a better price, so it's not like they just go and pay whatever) and I saw pretty much exactly what I wanted on their website so went to check it out. Their price was lower than anywhere else and they really wouldn't negotiate other than my trade in. But I still got a pretty good deal and was happy with it. Then there was a problem with my tire, which ended up in a slow leak that happened as soon as I bought it and I am 100% sure was there when I bought it (it was a year old used car). And so they gave me a new tire, which I guess they technically didn't have to do. But it was the right thing to do and I really appreciate that it's what they did. I worked with Paul, who was pretty great. And I kind of love my new car. I think that it's important to find a dealer who you trust to do the right thing even when they technically don't have to. I purchased an 09 Cobalt SS from this dealership, around september 14, 2019 and when I test drove the car i did noticed that there was a Check engine light on, but the salesperson told me that the car had been through the service department and they fixed everything, but the light was on due to custom mods in the car, and I was fine with that, I've dealt with these things before. However; when I left the dealership, I ran out of gas before I could even get to the first gas station, and then a couple of days later, I had a MAJOR blowout on my passenger side front tire while driving down the interstate. Both the front and rear wheel had HUGE sidewall bulges, and the front one blew out as I was driving ~60 mph. It was probably halfway my fault because I didn't even notice the bulges on the tires, I just noticed that they had good tread so I was pleased. This was a serious safety concern, that is something that would definitely be discovered in a car inspection. I complained and took the car to their service center for them to look at, for the check engine light, and they told me they couldn't do anything to help me. So, I got home and I removed the spark plugs and both the MAF sensor and the MAP sensor, and cleaned BOTH sensors (which was super easy) and the spark plugs that were in it were absolutely covered in debris, and fouled out. I feel like I was lied to and taken advantage of, they charged me FAIR MARKET value for the car, which had a couple thousand dollars in repairs needed.. I am a 100% disabled veteran, and I honestly feel like when they found out that was my source of income, they were excited to just sucker me with the car out of the door. read more
