They have the little computer thing you look up your make and model, and it spits out the wiper that you need. Her car is one of those that has two different sizes, the two wiper blades are not the same. I grabbed them off the shelf and the guy at the counter confirmed they were the correct ones for me. Got them home, and both wipers were the wrong size. Not just one, they were both wrong and really not even close. So I drive the 20 minutes back to the store and talked to another person, who now tripled checked in their computer that these were the recommended sizes. He then did some more looking, and figured out that the NAPA computer for some reason recommended two different sizes, one of which was obviously wrong. He then got me the right ones, but I had to pay an extra couple of bucks for the right ones. Pretty irritating, since it was their error that caused me to have to drive an extra 40 minutes. I'm conflicted because the guys working were definitely trying to help and ultimately I did get what I needed. But there is no reason that it should have been such a hassle, should have been right the first time. Seemed like a corporate flaw with the computer inventory or whatever, but at the end of the day the hassle flows to the consumer at the local level.

I initially went in to have it looked at in Seattle where I work and the car died in the middle of the road this shop I found out after looking for an invoice for 15 minutes was not connected to the Port Orchard store, so I got on the phone with the Port orchard store manager to assist. playing the middleman relaying messages rather than him calling and dealing with it directly. conclusion from Seattle store was I needed a new alternator--an expensive repair quoted around $1,700. After getting a second opinion from another qualified mechanic, I learned that diagnosis was incorrect. It got worse from there. Do not trust them! They tried to tell me I needed $2k+…read morerepairs. Got a second opinion and all the parts they said needed replaced were in perfect condition. This is so unethical because my car, although only 75k miles is very very old and they no longer make parts for it. So after-market and expensive parts would be used. The issue is my cars computer system does not like after-market parts and often rejects them, so just changing parts would have caused me a lot of trouble in the future. Very unethical to 1.sell something I don't need and 2. knowing it would be a severe downgrade from the original parts. Also, the price they quoted for parts was highly inflated. My friend showed me the parts online and, although would be higher at a shop, these were outlandishly higher. My mechanic friend is positive they were giving me the "woman price" and it felt that way. Lastly... this is primarily a tire shop, right? So when they said it wasn't safe for me to drive off unless I had my lug nuts replaced, this tire shop didn't have the lug nuts in stock. What tire shop doesn't have lug nuts in stock? They were friendly and communicative about it. They called around and found some and had them brought to their shop, which was nice of them to do that. It took about 5 hours and $200 to replace all lug nuts (which, by the way) resolved the original problem I came in for. Glad I got a 2nd opinion somewhere else because none of these things needed to be replaced. They saw a single woman in a nice car and tried to do a scam. They would have done more damage replacing original parts with aftermarket. I thought we could trust mechanics in 2026, but now I am skeptical of all mechanics. They give their profession a bad name.
