I'd spent the last couple of months visiting bridal salons in NYC -- from boutique stores to sample sales -- and Gilded was my favorite hands down... and the place I found my wedding dress! Their selection of independent designers & gorgeous gowns is phenomenal, and the store is light-filled and spacious. Mackenzie was so down-to-earth and helpful, from recommending gowns, sharing about designers, going the extra mile taking photos, and everything in between. My daughter was looking for a wedding dress for the past few weeks, she wasn't enjoying the experience or selection at the other local shops. We heard about Gilded Bridal from another shop in North Hills. They immediately welcomed her and starting sending pics of what they had to give her an idea. We still went to the other shops but after looking at the limited selection, I sent a quick email to Gilded and asked if we could come right over. They were excited and they had hundreds of trendy dresses to choose from. They helped her get dressed, they put on hair pieces and different vails so she would be able to get a true vision. I can't say enough about Pamela. She was patient, kind and asked so many important questions to pull the perfect dresses. Also, she let my daughter pick her own. The other salons didn't allow her to touch the dresses and pick anything. After only 10 dresses, she found the dress that made us all cry and the dress she could imagine walking down the isle In. The customer service was a breath of fresh air. Thank you again for going above and beyond Gilded and Pamela. It made the difference. Gilded Bridal is such an beautiful boutique. The interior decor had me awww'ing throughout my appointment. Susan was my stylist today and her energetic is off the walls. She's so incredibly sweet, yet honest, which can be a difficult mix to achieve especially with brides like myself who are very particular yet unsure of what style they are going for. Although I did not buy my dress here today, I will definitely return to potentially purchase. Gilded Bridal was amazing. I can't recommend them highly enough. Yesterday, I was welcomed warmly by Heather and settled into a lovely fitting room. We were offered something to drink and she explained the whole process. It was my first time trying on wedding dresses since I'm newly engaged and Heather made me feel completely at ease. I never worried about being larger than the sample sizes and Heather always explained how the dress would look in the proper size. I left with a clear favorite dress, and they took my measurements in case I decided to buy the dress since I was only in town over the weekend. They made me feel special and were so helpful when it came to talking about customizations to the dress I loved (the first one I tried on!). However, it was what happened after I left that ultimately made me into a #gildedbride. I tried on dresses at two other places today, and I found another dress that I also really liked - but I was pretty sure I wanted the first dress because I couldn't get it out of my mind, so at 5:30, with only 30 minutes until Gilded closed, on a Saturday no less, I called to see if I could possibly come back just to try the dress on again since I was leaving Raleigh and wouldn't be back until December and needed to order a dress soon. Susan, the owner, answered and told me to come on by and they would make it work. When I got to the store, at 5:45pm, both Heather and Susan greeted me with smiles and waves, before Heather had to pop back into her appointment. Susan grabbed my dress and took us back to a room. I had a few questions about the customizations and Susan sat down with my mother and I and talked through all the options and looked at pics of other gowns I had tried with me, and ultimately was able to answer all my questions and make me feel comfortable about ordering a dress that I couldn't return with customizations I couldn't see. When I put the dress on again, I knew it was the one, and even though it was past their closing time, she talked through veil options and so many other things, like grabbing me a hair clip so I could see what my hair would look like pinned how I want it on my wedding day. Susan even took time to talk through sizing options because I fall between two sizes and the alterations process. This was really helpful because I work out with a personal trainer consistently and am a bit worried about changes in my figure in the seven months I have until my wedding. I couldn't have imagined a better experience than the one I had at Gilded Bridal and I can't recommend them highly enough. I'm proud and honored to be a #gildedbride. read more

I started my dress shopping experience by promising myself I would visit multiple shops and give new things a try. Gilded was the first of three bridal shops I visited and I ended up returning after keeping that promise to myself. No other salon had better vibes or customer service. We were welcomed with champagne and open arms. We felt the warmth and ease of Gilded from the minute we walked in as opposed to the stuffiness of other salons in the RDU area. Additionally, Gilded is upfront about their prices. All prices were listed on the gowns which left no questions for customers. I worked with Lauren, who I could write nice things about all day long. As I said, I kept an open mind so I didn't give her lots of detail to work with but she quickly found what I liked and what fit me best. Lauren was genuinely kind and wanted what was best for me (hard to find in sales). She gave lots of insightful feedback but most of all she made me feel comfortable. Not to mention, she helped me find my dream dress! After visiting a few shops, I don't think you can beat what Gilded offers. I was completely blown away by this amazing bridal store. The ambiance, feel and design of the store is beautiful, and cutting edge. It really adds to the experience and feel of trying on bridal dresses. The selection is one of the largest of seen, they had all different styles, sizes, and designers!!! In the long haul, I ended trying on over 60 dresses at 8+bridal stores in 4 different states! This store was one of the first 2 places I tried on dresses. Had I lived locally I would have totally gone with this store and come back a few times until I found the perfect one! The women who helped me pick out styles to try on was amazing. She was so friendly and patient and really helped me understand how much flexibility in design options are out there. Gilded Bridal was the 8th bridal shop I went to and my 12th and 14th appointments of my dress buying journey. After many failed attempts at finding "the dress" back home in Austin over the holidays, I decided to give the Raleigh area a try. Gilded came recommended to me by my boss and I was immediately impressed by the selection of designers listed on their website. I was cautiously optimistic for my first appointment. I met with Jensen who works at Gilded full-time and is clearly knowledgeable and passionate about her work. She was the total opposite of some of the consultants I worked with at other shops who were clearly doing this as a side gig or a means to an end. Jensen pulled some of the gowns I had pre-requested but also walked me through their entire, expansive inventory and made suggestions as we went. We pulled a lot of the dresses I thought I wanted (full lace, fit and flare), but my bridesmaid (who clearly knows me better than myself), insisted I try a more simple crepe gown. It was the very first one I ended up trying on and throughout the rest of the appointment (10-15 gowns later), I kept saying how much I liked the simple one more. Jensen was so so patient with me, spending over 2 hours selecting dresses, walking me around the store, and pairing veils with my frontrunner dress. However, I simply wasn't convinced it was my dress... After all, it was so different from what I thought I wanted. A week and a half, and a failed shop experience later, I returned to Gilded to try on my favorite dress as well as a few others. Jensen suggested I try on new dresses first and come back to my frontrunner at the end. Boy, did that trick work! As soon as I put back on that dress my posture relaxed and something along the lines of "I mean yeah, this is my dress" came out of my mouth. Yet, I was afraid of commitment. And once again, Jensen was SO patient. She explained all the possible customizations, what I could do in alterations, and played around with more veils and accessories with me. At one point I felt so overwhelmed I just asked her what to do. She with absolutely no pressure, explained how my behavior was different in this dress and that she knew it was "the one" since my last visit. Between her confident statement and my bridesmaid's tears, I decided to finally bite the bullet! I truly cannot recommend Gilded, and specifically Jensen, enough! They have a great selection and above and beyond customer service. Their dresses fall within a reasonable price range and they have everything from ballgowns to boho slips and everything in between. I am so happy that I chose Gilded Bridal- from start to finish they provided me with w great experience and excellent service. First off, the selection of gowns is incredible. I think they have something to suit every taste, but generally their gowns were unique, well made, and on trend. I found most of the bridal shops I visited to be very traditional, but Gilded Bridal had so many stunning options that looked really fresh. The shop is beautiful and their dressing rooms are well decorated, spacious, and private. Their staff is friendly, welcoming, and helpful and really went above and beyond. When I was scheduled to come in for a second appointment to choose between two dresses I liked, the power in downtown Raleigh unexpectedly went out. I had driven two hours from Wilmington to be there and rather than just closing and making me drive home and back a different day, Heather lit candles and found some battery powered lights so we could have our appointment. It was probably more special and memorable than if things had gone smoothly! Gilded stayed in communication with me as I was waiting for my dress to arrive. Since I was coming from out of town they were able to provide me with updates as it was shipping etc so I was able to schedule my pick up appointment well in advance. When my dress came in I had some issues with the fit and Susan, the owner, went wayyy above and beyond to coordinate with the designer and get my issues fixed quickly. My dress is awesome and I cannot wait to wear it for my wedding!!! I am so thankful that I chose Gilded Bridal- my entire experience was excellent from start to finish. They often host trunk shows for their designers where you can experience gowns not always carried in the studio, which is how I found my gown by Claire Pettibone Couture Bridal. Turn-around time was a short couple months. Susan set me up with a seamstress who has extensive experience with my designer. This was the third salon I visited, and wow it was the absolute best. Susan was so wonderful to work with and so accommodating! Susan helped me by mixing and matching multiple dresses, and did a great job at keeping us under budget. She listened to all of my opinions on the dresses and helped me nail down my thoughts. I won't be buying my dress from them, which I am actually really sad about. However, Susan really helped me nail down exactly what I wanted and solidified a dress I saw at a salon in Virginia a few weeks prior. Trust me, there are better bridal stores that are more consumer friendly. They do NOT have " say yes to the dress" sign for the bride to have her photo with. It's all about: pay in full and hold up a "Gilded" sign for their benefit. Also they want you in again for more up-selling. Susan was incredibly accommodating - my work schedule can be crazy and I don't get many days off and so she kept the store open late on a friday evening for me and a few friends. Finding a dress can be stressful but she made it fun and easy! Fast forward a few few months to our fitting - the store itself was beautiful and Susan was as warm, generous, and professional. Couldn't have asked for a better experience in choosing my dress. I brought in pictures as inspiration, low and behold they had one of the exact dresses I had picked. Susan guided me through the process with ease and confidence. I never felt rushed or pressured in any direction (the same can not be said of other bridal stores). When I wanted to alter the dress slightly (something that couldn't be done following purchase but rather in the production of the dress), Susan texted the designer right on the spot and I had an answer and estimate via email within the week. I tried on wedding gowns at Gilded Bridal last weekend, with Susan as my consultant. She was wonderful- listened very attentively to what I liked and disliked, what my budget was, and then took me and my mom through the showroom. We looked at all the gowns, with her giving some suggestions and guidance according to what I had said I liked, and also pointing out some that might work that I hadn't thought of. If I said I liked a gown that was out of my price range, she very helpfully would tell me what the price was so I could choose whether or not I even wanted to try it on (and risk falling in love with something I couldn't afford!). I mentioned that I'd never tried a certain silhouette, and she grabbed one that fit all my other "likes" for me to see what it looked like. Susan was genuinely interested in helping me have a positive experience- even taking me out into the main showroom to see a gown I liked in natural light instead of the bright dressing room lights. Never did I feel pressured to buy, or uncomfortable in any way. My mom took a million pictures, which helped me decide between two favorite gowns at the end of the day. Ultimately I ended up buying a gown from a different boutique, but my experience at Gilded was fabulous and I highly recommend them! read more
