I was walking around and happened to walk past the shop where my cousin excitedly ran Inside. When we went inside we were greeted by the best person ever HALEIGH! I explained to her my citation and she was excited to help me out now the dress unfortunately would not be ready in time but lucky they have another store two doors down that had dresses I could take home today. When we got over there I thought there's no way I'm gonna find a dress I can afford but Haleigh helped me find one and it was a great experience. They only take so many appointments at one time so it's very personal and not a mad house compared to other popular bridal shops. As someone who gets overwhelmed easily this was such a relief. My associate Riley was such an angel, I could tell she really cared about my experience and made me feel heard and helped me articulate different things about the dresses to narrow down what I did or didn't like. She and the other associate who popped in occasionally (I didn't catch her name, but she was so wonderful to) really helped me get into dresses and made sure they looked right on me, and as a plus size bride with fewer options typically, they really did a wonderful job. They made me feel like I belonged and was deserving of a great experience and beautiful gown which meant a lot to me. They ran around pulling gowns, showing me skirts and using fabric to change the color - it was really cool and fun! I am so glad we went with this shop and they should be proud of how they train their employees, they were genuinely so so kind, caring, and knowledgeable. I can't thank them enough, and would absolutely recommend this shop to anyone looking for a truly individual, private, and well rounded shopping experience.

We tried on a few dresses and found one I really liked! I wasnt sure I would find "the one" so quickly so we went to a few other stores, and ended up coming back at the end of the day to order the dress! They took my measurements and recommended that I order the dress custom cut from the designer, which was a great suggestion (less work altering the dress). I received the dress a few months later and set out to have it altered. Once that was done, I took the dress back to Maggi Bridal were they steamed at no cost to me.

The dress I ordered was way too big and needed the bust, waist and some length taken off on the bottom. Once I got there and put on the dress, she pinched the side of the dress with just her fingers, asked me where else I wanted it to get taken in, then went to write up an estimate. She didn't pin it, she didn't take chalk to the bottom to know how much to alter too. When she came back she said it would be too expensive. I asked her what the price would be, because that wasn't very clear. She said it would cost $310 to alter everything. I asked her how much it would be to keep the length and just take the sides and bust, she replied " well how are you going to walk?". I figured I would be able to take the length myself and have her take in the rest, as it's only a french seem at the bottom of the dress. However, I was a little taken back by the comment and decided to find another place to get my alterations done as her step price seemed a little too steep for me. The next day I booked an alterations at Nordstrom,and they quoted me $110 dollars for everything I asked for from Larisa. I have no doubt that Larissa is very skilled however, I feel like the price for alterations was a little too steep in my opinion for a bridesmaid dress.

Please read this review before considering going to this shop…read more I brought my wedding dress in to be altered 3 months before my wedding date. Larisa demanded full payment up front, charged a $75 credit card fee, and said the only time I could pick up the dress was the week before my wedding (she said no to a second fitting). The total charges were $1,325.00 for the alterations (to hem the dress, bring the top in, shorten the straps, and add a bustle) and an additional $250.00 for the dress to be steamed. With the credit card charge added in, the total ended up being $1,649.00. I went to this appointment by myself, and she took advantage of that fact. She intentionally and predatorially took advantage of the fact that I have not done this before and was by myself. Within 5 hours of me leaving the shop, I went back to cancel the transaction and get my dress back. The shop was closed. I returned the next day at 11:00 AM, and still the shop was closed. I was then forced to call her and say that I want a refund, and that I want to pick up my dress. She was unpleasant and unreasonable, stating that the only time the dress could be picked up was nearly a week later and that she had already started cutting (less than 24 hours from when I dropped of the dress). I find that very hard to believe, considering the only option I had to pick up my dress was a week before my wedding, which was 3 months away. There is a lot more to this story, including her not giving me a full refund, making rude comments about my mother-in-law's nationality, telling me "I'm too young to speak to her like that" when I was assertive about getting a refund and hanging up on me. She also admitted that if I went to another seamstress, they would charge me $900. When she was presented with the fact that she took advantage of me, her response was "well, why did she come by herself?" - two clear admissions of her horrible morals and lack of character. Overall, she is racist, ageist, and volatile. Please, please, please do not go to her for service!

The consultant did not seem open to suggestion, and it was only when she was told "NO" that she changed the silhouette of HER chosen gowns. We were not allowed to look around. My sister did finally choose a gown but was not thrilled with the experience at Carolina Bridal World, nor was I. The gowns are fairly priced, but the experience is definitely lacking. I wouldn't shop there again.

I walked in and she greeted me with a smile so I asked her if she could replace the zipper for me and while i stood there she pulled out a little box with many pull tabs and she proceeded to replace the pull tab and the zipper stop on the other side. It took her all of 5 minutes to fix my jacket with a pair of pliers and BEST OF ALL, I asked her how much I owed her for the repair and she graciously smiled at me and replied to me, "NO CHARGE"! WHO DOES THAT ANYMORE?! THAT is what GREAT Customer Service is ALL ABOUT!! She has gained a returning customer if we ever need to have another article of clothing tailored or repaired! She told me that replacing the entire zipper would have cost me $35.00 so in this crazy horrible economy, I appreciated her saving me the $35.00! That's a half-tank of gas nowadays!
