My dad wanted me to go with him which I felt honored but told my mom laughing that he just wanted me to go to work the GPS -_- Anywho we got to this used car dealership around 6:30pm. We were greeted by this African American man that was scamming about 20 people. My dad and I were surprised by the large turnout. Eventually the dude gave us a scratcher and explained that there are 6 golden nuggets on the scratcher. He explained that if you scratch anything other than the golden nuggets stop and then show him then scratch the ticket off and count the gold nuggets then discard. However if you got a gold nuggets you keep going until you no longer get a gold nugget...then show the guy...do the same thing scratch the whole thing. My dad won a cruise to the Caribbean but apparently they ran out and gave my dad a rip off of a free 4 night hotel stay to your choice on the list but you end up paying more and more...$17 dollars just to register, $35 dollars per night not including resort fees...seriously. Apparently there was a delay on their giveaway section which was suppose to occur at 7pm which delayed until 7:30pm. There appear to be about 60 people now. About 7:15pm they passed out chips to try to hype up the crowd I guess so everyone can leave with something. They did speeches and their offers for purchasing used cars. They informed the crowd that they were going to give away two cars tonight (he didn't only one). They had people who won cars return I guess to share their testimonials which was pretty cool. I guess a lot of people received free cars in the past and came back to test their luck again. They gave out about $800 dollars by drawing 8 peoples names, gave out two TVs and another prize I don't remember. The grand prize was a used 2005 car. I think the owner shared how he is able to give cars away by people upgrading their cars as a trade in. Anywho my dad walked away with a Walmart card (amount unknown), 4 scam night stay and chips. I guess I would come out again because they really do give away money, prizes and cars. My dad said he would not buy a used car but will only do "New" cars...gotta love parents. Nice time to see how used dealerships operates and spending time with my dad.

They said they will fix it, they have yet to do so. It's been a whole month and I've been fed up because my car does not shift past 3rd gear (driving it off the lot) and I just dropped my car off at their dealership cause I was furious. The front desk guy Angel said they will take care of it after I threatened to take them to court. Raj, the owner has been avoiding me since the very beginning. Should've taken that as dishonesty and sketchiness. But young me thinks everyone has a good heart and no one will ever do such evil, but J & S Auto sales proved me wrong. I will update after they "fix" my car and keep everyone updated on the process. But all in all, I am not a happy customer and I didn't even get an apology. This is the first and last time I'm going to do business with this people and I will let all of my thousands of tumblr users know not to go here.

Having read the reply, here is mine…read more They had claimed it cost $1500 to ship a vehicle from Fresno to the Oregon Coast. $1500 is what it costs to ship a vehicle from the East Coast to the West Coast. A bit of research on my end showed the cost to ship from Fresno to the Oregon Coast is $500. This business does not know their own business and the leadership is not smart enough to find out the particulars. The objective in sales is TO MAKE THE SALE. This does involve negotiations. It also requires flexibility. These attributes are MIA at this dealership. They did show plenty of 'tude though! Had they taken a more positive approach, a sale was possible and since I had my best friend making a trip from the Oregon Coast to SoCal, he could have stopped by, traded in my car, picked up the one I wanted and there would have been a sale made. 2 months after I tried and was unable to deal with such a difficult dealership, the car I wanted finally did sell. That represents 2 months of dead money. Make sales quickly, get the money back plus some profit, buy another vehicle and keep the ball rolling! That is how to do it. Those 2 months are now gone FOREVER. What remains is my bad feelings over the experience with this dealership. Remember folks, they told me that it would be better for them to watch a vehicle collect dust on the lot than to make deals. Do you really want to do business with this kind of business? Adding some to the dealership's second reply: The $500 shipping rate from Fresno to the Oregon Coast was found by using a search engine to look up vehicle shipping companies. If you are paying $500 to ship a vehicle from LA to Fresno, you are overpaying. Go down to a temporary employment agency. Hire some drivers to take to the auction. $100 or so for the driver, $40 or less for the gas and a stop at In-N-Out for a meal comes out a lot less than $500. The best time to sell is when you have a willing buyer. You failed to cash in and get the sale. The objective is to get to YES. You think you can dictate to the market what the price is? eBay is full of unsold listings where sellers try this kind of move. Those who let the market forces decide the value work though. It's called capitalism. This system seems to work rather well! Anyways, all it will take is someone reading this review and our exchanges to realize that your dealership is difficult to work with.

When I reached out online Kevin responded right away and we set up a next day test drive of the vehicle. When I arrived Kevin greeted me, her was very polite, he showed me to the truck answered any questions, retrieved the keys and left me with the vehicle to inspect it at my leisure. After a short inspection I asked him if I could test drive the vehicle and he took a copy of my license and let me take the truck. During the test drive I did a hard acceleration and noticed a sputter with some significant power loss and the check engine light flashed on- it was a misfire. I drove back and let Kevin know what happened and that unfortunately I wasn't interested. He was very apologetic and asked me to wait before leaving and hooked up his scanner to see what was wrong and it was a misfire. He changed it the spark plug from the misfiring cylinder and we went on another test drive and the issue was gone. I liked the truck and the scanner didn't show any other problems so I decided to buy it. Kevin informed me that if the problem came back even though he was selling me a used car as is he would fix it or he would take the car back which from a smaller dealership I've NEVER heard before. We finalize the deal do the paper work and I drive off. During my two and a half hour drive back it happened again so I texted Kevin and let him know, long story short hex was polite and professional and honored his promise. I got the truck home and within the next few days I decided to use my scan tool to see what the issue was and it showed a misfire in the number two and four cylinders so I changed the spark plugs in all of them which I usually do anytime I buy a used vehicle anyway and all codes cleared the truck has been running great now for about a month. I called Kevin to let him know and he was happy it worked it and offered to pay for the repair which I declined. Kevin is a stand up guy, and if I find itself in need of another used car I'll gladly do business with him again. Here's one thing people need to consider though when buying a used car, especially from a small dealer. These vehicles are used they're not certified pre-owned they're usually inspected to make sure they're legal to be put on the road and minor repairs are done. You're delaying with a small business that's trying to make money and most of them aren't going to spend extra money to make sure every major repair is completed because their customer base cannot afford or do not have the credit worthiness to buy those types of vehicles. I could've gone to a certified dealer but I found this specific truck and honestly I expected more issues than what I've had so far. Bottom line I usually don't trust used car dealers but Kevin showed here would make things right during and after the sale. I can't recommend him enough!

So like he said the choice is yours. It's for sale and I know you're interested, he let us leave and shop around. Within an hour I called him back and told him I want to purchase it. I'll be back tomorrow. He knew I was a young college student needing reliable transportation back and forth to school. He said it's not just selling a car to him, it's an investment in my future.
