My pool is turning green because the company I fired wasn't doing a great job. So I need someone out ASAP before it gets worse. So the lady on the phone forwards me to the owner, Billy. I explain I've been paying $90 a month to the most recent company and $80 to the company before. He goes on and on about how his company is insured and how he has a fleet of people blah blah and that pools service is going to be $120 a month. I said fine. Start today. He said he can't come out until tomorrow. So I said come by tomorrow. He made a big deal about me needing to be there even though it's only a pool. But he was adamant about how he likes to meet the customers face to face. Fine I said. I'll be there. He promised to be there in the morning. Well, morning has gone by and the pool has never been greener. No visit. No call to explain that he's running late. In fact, he's not coming at all. Because he doesn't know how to run his business without making false promises. Good job. You've lost another customer! I was willing to pay your inflated rate, too. Good luck. Hope you go bottom up for making me wait in vain all day. Update: billy called me back to apologize for upsetting me but said he didn't have my name or my phone number or nothing in his books. So he thought I got him mixed up with another company. I reminded him about our conversation and it took awhile but he did remember speaking to me and he did find my lead sheet. He apologized again and mentioned some personal struggles and said he would bend over backwards to help me and that he would even come by today! Wow. But at this point, I'd rather find a more organized pool company. If I can't find a better company, I'll call him back tomorrow. I'm getting desperate.
