We have driven past this restuarant a few times, and we were always curious. We ordered take out/delivery, as if there's any other choice nowadays. The delivery was quick. The delivery driver was friendly as well. When we recieved the order, it was still extremely warm. Which sometimes does NOT happen when getting delivery. We ordered the thin crust and the pan pizza. Both were good. I preferred the pan pizza. I would like to see this business on more delivery apps. I'd always prefer to use an app, over making a phone call. With the demands of life, it's just easier.

Steak sandwich with the most tender ribeye I've ever had.

Interesting place... The interior won't win any beauty contests. There is lots of 70's era wood paneling. The layout is very choppy, in a claustrophobic kinda way. And the decor is a hodge-podge (albeit mostly sports themed). As I'm typing this, some old timer (I think he's the owner) is playing the bongos along with the juke box which is blasting out Chicago's "25 or 6 to 4". Earlier, a couple of guys questioned why Family Feud was on the tv's. The bartender blamed his sister, and promptly turned on sports. Oh shit, "25 or 6 to 4" just ended, and its playing again! Ha! Same dude that questioned Family Feud just said: "I'm pretty sure we just heard this song." The bartender yelled at him (jokingly of course), and put on "Saturday in the Park". Now playing: "Does Anyone Really Know What Time it is?" Three straight Chicago songs. I repeat: Interesting place... On to the food: My meal was excellent. I had the steak sandwich and a side salad. The steak sandwich consisted of a ribeye, with grilled onions and cheese on a soft bun. It was the most tender ribeye I've ever had! Service was entertaining, yet good. Today was my first visit, but it won't be my last.

It's hit and miss when they have it, so if you're craving a hood turkey burger, call ahead to make sure they have it. As for me, their burgers are not to be missed. They are plenty juicy and flavorful. The fries (at least the first time I had them) were both crispy outside and fluffy potato inside. Today, however, they were soft and limp. I ordered the cheese for dipping and it was watery and flavorless. Such a bummer. I also had their buffalo chicken ranch sandwich. It was lifeless. The chicken was rubbery, and the bacon tasteless. It was a waste of bacon (and I don't say that lightly). My wife had the chicken parm sandwich and again, the chicken was rubbery. Maybe we should have stuck with burgers? Alas, she could not ad they didn't have the turkey burgers. I say stick with their burgers and maybe ask for the fries well done.

Nikkos offers a wide variety of food, not just Greek. Burgers, dogs, Italian beef, etc. I know from experience both Mediterranean and Middle Eastern places generally offer very good burgers, but I haven't personally tried Nikkos'. I must try them soon. What I *have* tried are Italian beef, gyro, and chicken, both in plate and sandwich forms. Gyro and chicken dishes did not disappoint. Their chicken kebab plate is my daughter's new go-to Greek dish, and I can personally attest to their gyro and tzatziki sauce. Super legit. Also, French fries are good. I've tried their Italian beef now twice, but both times I thought they didn't do a very good job getting rid of beef taint. Gravy was okay; nothing special. I'd personally put them right at the same level as Portillo's. It's got a very old-school diner feel to the place. Menus are displayed with pictures over the counter, making it super easy to read and order. As far as friendliness of the cashier goes, I'd rate them 3 of 5. I was greeted and tended by a very nice lady once, but it was two grumpy dudes the other time who were all business and no play. Nothing wrong with their work ethics or order accuracy or anything. They were just unpleasant. Just so I'm clear, these encounters don't usually deter my star ratings. More so an FYI. All in all, I'm happy with my Greek plates at Nikkos. I'll probably go back to try rest of the other menu items like shish kebab or even a burger.

The fresh pita bread tears apart in beautiful layers, the vegetables are rich with flavor, and the chicken is so juicy and well seasoned. I literally can't help but finish my entire plate when I order from here. The kebab sandwich also comes with a generous service of Tzatziki which balances out all of the rich grilled flavors. She helped clarify some questions I had like is the Swiss cheese on the Paris Special, American Swiss or Emmental since Swiss cheese is only an American thing. It is American Swiss for those asking. When in Rome I guess. The Paris Special is diced ham, eggs, and Swiss cheese on a croissant. I also ordered the diced potatoes with onion. The sandwich was good. Eggs were cooked perfectly, ham was diced out of a bag by the texture of it... it was fine. The croissant was very buttery, but I felt it was so buttery, it lost some exterior texture a fresh croissant may have. The potatoes were very tasty, but were dripping in oil on the plate. One thing that seemed to surprise me was me was the unsweetened iced tea. I felt it had black currant in it. That was lovely! Overall, this place is good. The price was not so great. But it is definitely cheaper than a trip to Paris.
