My Mother in law lives less than a mile away, yet, they don't deliver to her subdivision. You mean to tell me you won't deliver to the retirement community less than a mile away, which is filled with older people that can't necessarily go out on their own? Not to mention, the pizza was so greasy, I got a zit looking at it while blotting the grease off the pizza. Terrible customer service. Mediocre pizza. Too expensive for sub-par food and service. I ordered a 16" thin crust with sausage and bacon and requested lightly baked, it was a little too salty! I also ordered a 16" thin crust with sausage and spinach and this was not too salty and had a nice crust! The staff were very friendly and the order was ready when I arrived! If I didn't get a flyer for this pizzeria, I wouldn't know it existed, it's off the main road on a little shopping mall! I would try it again! read more

I did a carry-out for deep dish pizza for the first time from here recently. I had seen this restaurant a few times when driving by in the area and been curious about it. I looked up their menu online and called in my order of a 14" deep dish pizza with half garlic & spinach, and half pepperoni. The total came up to around $27. The ready time for pizza was half hour from the time I placed the order. I got here about 40 mins. after my call. The pizza was ready. I received good customer service. I usually check the pizza before taking it home most of the times. Upon checking, I noticed that the pizza that they call deep dish wasn't quite deep dish like. It was more of a thick crust pan pizza. The pizza looked and smelled good. After having a slice, my first thoughts were that, the sauce was good, the crust was thick and a bit chewy, and that the pizza was a bit salty. Then my wife chimed in the same sentiment about the saltiness of the pizza. Not sure whether it was the pizza sauce, any seasoning they might have added, the cheese they used or the combination of all three that was making the pizza taste salty. Anyway, I still enjoyed my pizza for what it was. But I am not sure if I would check them out again anytime soon though. read more

Went for the pizza special today Also ordered chicken wings for the first time Not good $8.99 for 5 wings is high especially when I opened them up & they were small and 1 was a tiny ball of what looked like it might have been a boneless wing? size of a dime! So i paid $8.99 for 4 pieces of small wings never again. Like I said before this Jimanos used to be outstanding not anymore! The turn around with the help is unreal! We used to order every week but you never know what you will get. Last week the pizza was so salty barely edible, today it was great! And don't place an order to be picked up at 5:00 it's never ready or they claim they never got the order and the counter girl blames the manager saying he cancelled the order this happened last month. We really liked the jalapeño poppers. Sadly, we hated everything else. We ordered two thin crust pizzas and chicken tenders. The chicken tender is much worse than frozen chicken nuggets. It was edible but okay to bad. The fries were chewy and bad. We tried to eat them but ultimately pitched them. It tasted as if they cooled off at store but reheated before serving to us. We tried the pizza but ended up throwing away almost two entire large pizzas. It was that bad. Nothing was decent about it. The flavor was disgusting the crust was undercooked and bad. Stopped in on a Wednesday evening for the "special" of the night, BBQ Ribs. The place looked clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. Ordered the BBQ ribs, which came with fries and garlic bread. The ribs were respectable, particularly for a pizza place. The meat was tender and separated from the bones easily. The sauce was sweet and the ribs were well sauced. The fries were hot and crispy. The only thing missing was some cole slaw. Nonetheless, it was a tasty meal and a good experience. I heard from other patrons that the pizza was good, so I'll try that next time. read more

Tried it for the first time the other day. Got a thin crust sausage pizza and their breadsticks. The pizza was pretty good overall. It leans a bit on the expensive side, but was tasty. Would definitely come back for pizza. The breadsticks, not so much...at that price point I was expecting them to be better. They were just okay and not worth it. read more

I got two pizzas from here on Sunday 4/30/2023 I had people over and my wife and I raved about how good this place was. we usually have great food from here. But this time the two pizzas with delivery and tip was 70.00+ dollars. It took over an hour and I live 3 miles away. The center of the crust on both were wet and soggy on the bottom, the edges were rubbery. they were cold and just terrible food for 70.00 I don't think I will be returning I will go a little farther down RT60 from now on. read more

Ordered pizza and breadsticks through online ordering. We went with a deep dish pizza. This is not your normal Chicago deep dish with marinara on top. It's thick crust with lots of mozzarella cheese on top. It was good! The sauce on the pizza was average, but overall we enjoyed the pizza. We got a 14' pizza for the two of us. It was wayyyy to much, but great for leftovers. Don't forget to sign up to get offers. You can get an order of free breadsticks. Super highly suggest getting these breadsticks! I ordered my first from this restaurant a thin crust mushroom and sausage pizza today 2/28/2023 along with the spaghetti dinner special. I picked up my order which was ready when I arrived. The first thing I want to mention is that the garlic bread wasn't crisp it was soggy. The second thing is that the pizza looked great but it was very salty and thus 3/4 of the pizza was uneaten at my home. I noticed other feedback comments have mentioned the saltiness also. Maybe they need to evaluate what the problem is . Is it the cheese ? Is it the sauce? Not going to return to this establishment. read more

This pizza is our favorite in the area. We drive almost 20 minutes each way for it! I prefer their thin crust to their thick crust, but both are good. Their breadsticks are AMAZING! We have converted multiple families in the area to Jimanos since we found it. I highly recommend their take out, we've never eaten in the restaurant. When we stopped in one day to order dinner for pickup from here and I was surprised at how knowledgeable the person at the register was - I am guessing it was an owner. Since that time, we have ordered pickup and delivery from this location many times. I have to say the food is always delicious and and we have never really had any issues with anything. The pizzas and salads are delicious and the salads have very fresh ingredients and taste great. There are not a lot of delivery options in Mundelein and I have to say that I would recommend Jimano's anytime. read more

Food is great. However they need to get the orders right! I'm charged for extra aujus, which you need with the beef sandwiches, but never get any. Also goes for the giardinare which we never get. Pizza is good but ordered with food and that was cold. Needs better management to organize food orders. Star rating reflects order received vs quality of food. read more

I ordered a medium half pepperoni and cheese pizza tonight from this Jimanoes pizzeria and was the worst cold dry stale pizza I have ever had. The bread sticks were hard and tasted old. My kids who normally loves pizza would not even eat the pizza or bread sticks. Jimanoes is normally a go to for us but I think I mistakenly ordered from the wrong site in mundelien . I will be sure to never order from this store again. And I never place reviews but had to cause I wasted $30 for dinner tonight. read more

Was staying at my sisters, and we ordered pizza from this place. She said it was pretty good, and I'll bet it would have been if we got it within an hour of when we ordered. It took almost an hour and a half to get there and it was cold, chewy and had very few toppings on it. The driver was rude (despite my $8 tip), and they screwed up the order (they forgot the onions). I have lived in the Chicago area my whole life and Jimano's has the best pizza in the area by far. Even though Chicago is known for their "deep dish pizza" their thin crust pizza is to die for. They use fresh ingredients and always have great coupons to use. As a matter of fact I even worked at one of the other locations so I got to see them actually make the pizzas. I got the monday special. A (up to) five topping 16" pizza for about $17.25 (after tax). It's a whole lot of food and a whole lot of toppings for that price. The pizza itself was pretty good. Tasty thin crust with a good sauce to cheese ratio. The topping were well portioned and evenly spaced so that each slice tasted as good as the last. The ingredients themselves were nothing special but it definitely tastes better than most major pizza chains out there. read more
