Alfredo rigatoni with a panko breaded chicken cutlet--it was outstanding! The fried calamari was super good, too!

LISTEN, LISTEN, LISTEN! A group of my girlfriends and I dine in at Bonta every other Friday and let me tell you the week/weeks that pass in between each visit I am craving it; there's a reason they have so many weekly regulars! If you want to visit on Friday or Saturday make sure to make a reservation because it can get busy. My go-to order is rigatoni alfredo with chicken cotoletta on top and a side caesar salad (I'm not a caesar salad freak like some of you but bonta's caesar is so delicious it turns me into a caesar salad freak). I have tried so many things on the menu and all of them hit !!!!!!! Literally can't go wrong. I enjoyed my food so much I felt compelled to write a SECOND review, HELLOOOO??

This is a small hole in the wall Italian restaurant. Went in with tempered expectations and was very pleasantly surprised. Both the service and the food was great. They had us try the wine before serving which is very classic Italian restaurant. They checked on us a good amount. The food was delicious. We got the vodka pasta and the braciola with pasta. The bread was also good with a nice amount of butter. This is a great place to go if you are visiting Lincolnshire for the evening.

The garlic bread + mozzarella was yummy and great to share with the table. The pizzas were all really solid, and they're a great size for one meal. Our waitress was attentive and great and very nice, and the staff was also attentive, keeping our water filled and making sure we had everything we needed. It's not the cutest place ever, and the women's bathroom had a peculiar sign on the inside of the door, but it's homey and clean. I would love to try their pastas, but they were much pricier than the pizzas. Knocking a star, though, because the prices listed on the menu were wrong - they actually charged us $2 more per item, without saying anything about that.

A bit of a Clark Kent, Bontá is nondescript and unassuming in a strip mall. But take off the glasses (aka step inside) and you get traditional Italian flavors and pizzas in a casual atmosphere. Though the parking lot looked empty, inside the restaurant was almost filled and Uber drivers and customers were constantly coming in to pick up orders. After seeing arancini all over my FYP, we split an arancini appetizer that was as big as my fist. It was hot, golden brown and a melty cheesy meat mixture oozed out. Lots of traditional Italian pastas on the menu. I selected the braciole, which I've never had before, which translates to meat rolled over coals. It was flank steak stuffed with garlic and prosciutto and simmered in red sauce for hours. Man, I was surprised at how tender it was -- I could cut it with a fork, and didn't need to chew hardly at all. It came with pasta and a side garden salad. I tried my friend's gnocchi in vodka sauce, the gnocchi was pleasantly chewy and the sauce was rich, creamy and tasty. Service was pleasant but there was a bit of a wait between our dishes; therefore we did not try dessert. Overall, the dishes were well-executed, reasonably priced, and surprisingly good. The dining area is rather small, but we did see several groups of people dining (birthday, multi-generational, friends). I would like to come back for the pizza.

Bonita has a great, friendly staff. They seem to have updated their menu. They have great pizza and now they have pasta dishes and entrees. On salads, they offer three dressings, which seems kind of limited. They offer for house dressing basically a small cup of balsamic vinegar. It's not very creative or good unless you like balsamic vinegar very much. The garden salad could use some tomato and the finely diced red pepper is a bit hard to eat, larger pieces would be easier to eat. I ordered the vodka, sausage, and peas pasta. It had thoroughly coated pasta but not much extra sauce. I'm fine with that but if you are looking for soupy pasta, this isn't your dish. It's barely just enough sauce. The flavor was good including the sausage. When I woke, through, I had extreme thirst so I suspect they use heavy salt. I don't appreciate restaurants that have a heavy salt hand. Sodium isn't good for your health and it's a cheap way to flavor food. The flavor comes at the consumer's expense with elevated thirst and blood pressure. I'll go back for certain but probably will stick to the pizza.

Great flavorful pasta and garlic bread, Authentic Napoletana style Margherita pizza just like you'd get in Italy. The kind where the crust alone has that delicious, chewy quality that makes it taste so good even on its own. Friendly staff, clean bathrooms, a couple outdoor seating options. Nice early hours, opening at 10:30 am on Saturday. They even have a nice little section where they put a small wine bar area.

I was looking for something different to eat before seeing a show at the Marriot and stumbled upon Bonta. Tucked in the corner of a strip mall it can definitely be missed. I walked in and was greeted and was sat at a table in the back. They have a casual fancy vibe going on. The tables are covered with white paper table cloths to add a little class. My server came and I placed an appetizer for the arancini. I wish I would have placed my main entree too because after I received my appetizer (from a runner) my server didn't come around to check on me for awhile so I could place it. I ordered pesto rigatoni with chicken and I was underwhelmed. The chicken was on the dry side and pesto wasn't as flavorful as I know pesto to be. It comes with a side and bread. I upgraded to Caesar Salad which was delicious. I was on a time crunch so no time to wait for their dessert. I'll be back though to try their pizzas and calzones. Pasta I'll skip.

I have been ordering food from Bonta for years and I didn't realize that I had never written a review. Shame on me for not sharing the greatness that is Bonta. In the past, I have often ordered their wood-fired pizzas for pickup. They have always been tremendous. But this time I actually ate in the restaurant instead of ordering pickup. Our dining experience was very pleasant. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive and the food was good as always. I couldn't resist ordering my go-to pizza, the quattro formaggi which is a white pizza made with mozzarella, parmigiano reggiano, ricotta, and gorgonzola. Yum! My wife ordered the eggplant parmigiana which I had never had before. It was amazing, sooo good. That might be my new go-to dish there. If you are looking for some great Italian food in the Lincolnshire area, you can never go wrong with Bonta!

This is a very nice casual Italian restaurant, that is extremely convenient. In addition to the very well done Italian specialties, they have a great selection of sandwiches that are perfect for a quick lunch treat. I would say the quality of the food could be considered upscale and authentic, at the same time it functions similar to a deli with its casual nature and inconvenience. The service was great and they were extremely friendly.

They are changing name to El Poblanito per ads on the pizza box. Will they serve only Mexican food? Will they still continue to serve custom pizza? Anyhow, decided to check out their menu. They had the lunch special 10" pizza with 2 custom toppings with soda for $9.99. Even though it's 4pm, their online portal still let you order it so I did. I think they should continue this glitch because i would be that customer that continues to order this way. The check out process is through Slice, and they generated a text message and email receipt. Don't be surprised to see a "support local fee", which I'm perfectly happy to pay extra for. They use Apple Pay also, so pretty convenient. Text tells you when the order will be ready and you get another text for when it's ready for pick up. The pizza is pretty standard and generic. Everything tasted fresh and what you would expect. The ham is very thin, likely just sandwich deli cuts. Pineapple chunks are large and intact, though I probably would've preferred the pineapple to be more burnt than just warmed but it retained juice well when it's not over cooked. Nothing too special about the cheese, not high-grade mozzarella just regular ones. Dough is not high gluten so it's not very chewy, which is fine for the kids, the prefer it not too much chew. The pizza is not too greasy so the bottom is not too charred. The crust is not ultra thin, so about half an inch. Overall very standard fast food pizza you'd expect. It's pretty standard for the price for a lunch special too. I think having this lunch special option is pretty attractive, because I would probably continue to order ham/pineapple and will also try Italian beef/giardiniera combos.

Anyway, I received a coupon/ menu deal in the mail and decided to make use of it. The nearest Sarpino's to me is this one in Riverwoods. I have ordered from their before but this around, the management had changed and it's under new ownership. I decided to get a couple of pizzas from their Gourmet/ Specialty pizzas options instead of build your own kind. I ordered one Vegetarian and one Pesto Veggie pizzas over the phone and mentioned to them about the coupon I was going to use. I was informed the pizzas would be ready for pick-up in 15 - 20 mins. When you go to the shop, you have to have a mask on. It's required. I had one on already and was going to wear one regardless if they mandated it or not given the circumstances these days. My pizzas were ready to go. I checked them to ensure they were what I ordered. They looked good. I asked them for some paper plates, Parmesan, and crushed red pepper flakes packets which they provided at no cost. I received good service from the time I called them to place the order till pick-up. The pizzas were delicious. Both of the pizzas were good. I had not had these kind before so that was a nice bonus. The pizzas hit the spot. I definitely recommend trying their Pesto Veggie and if you like it spicy, have them add banana peppers or jalapenos. Sarpino's to me is a good alternative to other chain pizza shops like Pizza Hut, Domino's, Papa John's etc. In my experience, I haven't had any bad tasting pizzas from them you get what you pay for. Threw in an RC Cola and a side of ranch too. Total came out to around $16. Got back to work and started with the Italian beef slice. It was cold, which I won't knock too hard because who knows how long it had been sitting there. I was told it was spicy, but honestly not really. You could tell by the way the slice fell apart while eating it that it had probably been sitting for a bit. As for the personal pizza, it was cheesy, decent amount of pepperoni, and not overloaded with sauce, which I liked. But overall... it just lacked flavor. I decide to treat myself to a large pepperoni pizza with extra cheese--because why not? The vibe was casual, the scent of fresh dough wafted through the air, and I was ready for a slice of heaven. But then, things took a bizarre turn. Just as I placed my order, a group of college students burst in, loud and full of energy. They were already hyped up when they challenged each other to a "Pizza Toss Battle." I thought it was a joke at first, but they actually grabbed pizzas! One guy, in a Hawaiian shirt, launched a pizza into the air like a frisbee. It spiraled across the restaurant, landed on a surprised family's table, and everyone erupted in laughter. Not to be outdone, the girl next to me--who was channeling serious ninja vibes--took her own pizza and catapulted it toward the front counter. It splatted against the wall, cheese and toppings sliding dramatically to the floor. The staff at Papa John's? Unfazed. They stood behind the counter in utter disbelief, some chuckling and others preparing to usher in the chaos. The showdown continued, with pizza cheese flinging as the human shields (a.k.a. customers) ducked for cover. I sat there, half in shock and half in awe, clutching my order ticket and debating whether to join the pizza war or retreat with my pride intact. At one point, someone even launched a box of garlic knots into the fray. You know what they say: "All's fair in love and pizza!" Eventually, the manager decided enough was enough. With pizza hands raised as a peace offering, he called for a time-out. "Free pizza for everyone! Just no more flying dough!" he declared. The entire restaurant cheered, and just like that, we all became allies over a shared extravaganza of cheesy goodness. By the time my glorious pizza finally arrived, I felt like I was part of the most unexpected pizza party ever. It was the best pizza I've ever had--not just because of the taste, but because of the unforgettable experience. If you're looking for a wild night filled with laughter and the occasional flying pizza, Papa John's is where you've got to be. Five stars, but only because I can't give it more!

As I stated previously, the inside looks nice and furnishing is well maintained. It definitely shows when they are rushed however, as the floors usually need to swept. The last time I went there was also crumbs on the napkin they placed on our table. The menus are big but they do have stuff for every palate to pick from. The free bread is alright, nothing too wild. The servers are always warm and welcoming, and very knowledgable of the menu. It can take a little while for the food to come out but it's worth the wait in my opinion. The crispy fried cheese is a little greasy, but quite tasty. It's a big portion but fulfilling for sure. The flatbread pizza was enjoyable as well, with a good crispy crust. My nephew and I decided on the Strawberry Spritz. It was refreshing and tasted like Summer in a glass, we thoroughly enjoyed it. We also ordered the Warm Crab Dip but we didn't care for it. It lacked any type of crab or seafood flavor and had a weird texture. We added salt/pepper and hot sauce and it still didn't taste good.
