I had my 200 mercury outboard rebuilt there. Runs like a new motor. This summer I was in a small village in Alaska helping a native harvest salmon when the starter ring on his 80hp mercury came loose. No internet no repair shops for hundreds of miles, but I had phone service and Gilomen's phone number. I called told them the situation and they walked me through the repair and we were back on the water in a couple hours. They had nothing to gain, didn't make any money but helped someone in need. my boat with a 50HP Evinrude, wouldn't start in "forward neutral" so that i could give it gas when starting and when i finally would get it started, it wouldn't idle down. It would cut out evertime i pulled from or to dock. Gilomen put in a new shifter switch and set the linkage correctly... Its been almost 4 years and it still idles and shifts great. I can idle it all the way down without it ever cutting out. So Gilomen must know what they are doing. read more
