Art with Art Appliances replaced parts on our Viking range convection oven, broiler unit…read more Art was polite and quick to respond to our initial call to him. He was on time for the initial assement visit and for the actual repair visit. He completed the repair within a 1/2 hr. On his initial assessment visit he needed to order parts, then sent us a quote. After our approval, he then ordered the parts and received those part within 2 days and he was able to come back to install the parts within 2 days of the intial visit. His work was done exactingly, he kept the work area clean and clean when he left. Thecrepairs were all completed promptly, within less than a 1/2 hr. He replaced 3 igniters and 2 burners, plus, as he was installing one of the new Viking manufactured parts, he discovered something which was done incorrect on the previous repair done by different repair company co. and he explained what had been done incorrect and that it previously hadn't been a true Viking part & that part had been installed incorrectly. Art uses Viking manufactued parts for the repairs on Vikings stoves which he works on. It's important on these high-end appliances to use only the true Viking manufactuer's parts for replacements on Vikings and on other high-end brands to use those specific brand parts, not generic brands. It's expensive, but worth it in the long run, for the longevity of the appliance. Art also works on high-end refrigerators, such as the GE Monogram, which we also have in our kitchen. We will ask him to do repairs on this refrigerator, as well, should we need future repairs to be done. I called up Airport Appliance where I purchased my range but no longer in business and given the Viking Range (1888-845-4641) support. Based on location I was referred to De Anza Appliance in San Jose. Chris was very friendly, responsive and mentioned at the onset the visit would be $200. Ouch! Whaddya gonna do when you need it fixed and only trust and Authorized Viking Repair place. Ofa was sent for the service call and arrived within the timeframe promised. Friendly, thorough and professional. Fortunately, not a big issue and corrected with a visit as wiring was hitting metal and throwing off the temperature.
