The chicken Alfredo was creamy, the chicken was well cooked with lots of flavor, and the pasta was cooked really well.

This local gem never disappoints. My family and I have been coming here for many years and the food and service have always been excellent. Tonight's meal and experience was no exception. The food and service were impeccable. Tonight we had the pleasure of being cared for by the expert Carlos, who never left our glasses empty, was ready with perfect suggestions and warm, friendly service; as well as helping us celebrate our occasion with smiles and the promise of the best tiramisu that was exactly as he described. This charming spot, with the jazz tunes playing, and delightful dishes--like the fried zucchini blossoms we had this evening--has consistently provided the most delicious, fun meals the Village has to offer.

It was a dark and stormy night. Hail pounding the car as we pull up. We hurried in and fight the door against the wind. As we enter, it's nice and calm. Warm lighting and cozy. Surrounded by many pieces of art work. The place was slow, with only a few wet patrons waiting out the rain. We are greeted and seated by a nice server who quickly gets us water, some bread, and tomato spread. The bread was nice. Lightly toasted. The spread topping may have been balsamic vinegar, olive oil, sun dried tomatoes, and some Italian herb seasoning. We ordered two dishes: spaghetti with meatballs and butternut squash ravioli. The spaghetti with meatballs was below average. What the spaghetti did right was the sauce's bright acidity and the velvety texture with the butter. On the other hand, the meatballs were burned, lukewarm, and half breadcrumbs. The meatballs were cooked beyond Maillard browning and bits of charcoal spotted the exterior. The amount of breadcrumbs made the meatballs too tough. Additionally, the spaghetti itself was overdone and too soft. All of this combined made an unpleasant texture. On the other hand, the squash ravioli was a fantastic dish. Nice large filling with paper thin ravioli skins. Wonderful unbroken butter and cream sauce. However, I don't know how this happened but there was some cross contamination with some seafood? A penny sized chunk of overcooked scallop made it into the dish which could be alarming for those who are allergic to seafood. Overall, 3/5, saved by the cozy ambiance, ravioli, and nice server.

Family came into town and I wanted to take them out for some great Italian so I chose Gina's! That was a great choice! Tonight we had exceptional customer service! Our waitress, Stephanie, was amazing and the others were great also! Stephanie recommended a seasonal appetizer, stuffed zucchini flowers. They were amazing!! So flavorful! All of us enjoyed our meals. Fresh and delicious! We sat on the patio and it was a perfect night. I would highly recommend Gina's and if you're lucky enough to have Stephanie as your waitress, you can thank me later!

A year ago, we visited for my boyfriend's birthday and thisbyear we visited again for the second time for an early birthday celebration of mine! This time, we got the Eggplant Parmiagiono and one of their special dishes, zucchini blossoms! I have to say, the zucchini blossoms was the highlight of our meal. It was so interesting and who would ever think to fry zucchinis?! We also got the tiramisu and my god if you love tiramisu just as much or more than me, this is the place to go. It was big, delicious, and really good price.

4.5 stars all around! The ambiance was super cute and perfect for a date night. Service was quick and efficient but the waitress did forget our beer (we did have to ask for it once our food came). The food was delicious, especially the sauce!! I do wish the noodles were more al dente, they were more well done. All in all, solid dinner and successful date night.

Chicken parmigiano

We came here while on a trip to visit a relative and they suggested we try Gina's. There was not much of a crowd on a Wednesday night and we were seated immediately. The dining room isn't very large but it has a nice atmosphere as pictures of Italian towns and sculptures line the walls, while the speakers play soothing Italian guitar music. There is also a lit patio but we did not sit there. The service was very good and our waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu. I had already had a large lunch that day but I could not resist trying their chicken parmigiano, which is one of my favorite dishes whenever I go to a new Italian restaurant. The dish was flavorful and had a good texture and I ate every bite. Everyone else in my group including my relative enjoyed their meals, such as the lasagna and the seafood pasta (frutti di mare). I am glad that my relative introduced us to this place and I would recommend trying it if you are in the area.

Sangrias

We were seated right away. Once seated, they quickly brought out bread and a tomato dip (which had a lot of garlic). We ordered sangrias and chicken alfredo pastas. The taste was okay, nothing worth bragging about. The sangrias were good. The pasta portions were small. My boyfriend left hungry. The restaurant appeared to be clean, but when I went to the restroom there were spider webs.

I searched all over town and finally found the best tiramisu to celebrate the birthday of our good friend Tony. Thanks to Gina's

Amazing authentic Italian cuisine, service was great too, even the bread was made to perfection, soft and warm.

Crispy Calamari

The location is very cute, very casual. You order right away and then give you a number so they can bring your food out. Food came out fairly quick. Pizza was good, nothing crazy but good for the price I guess. Calamari was good, and meatballs were also good. Onion rings were pretty tasty, probably the best thing we ordered. Nothing super special but it was cute and ok food.

Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo

I was visiting a college friend and we decided to try this spot for dinner. We started with the cheese curds and calamari as appetizers--both were solid choices. The calamari was especially good: crispy, flavorful, and surprisingly light. The cheese curds were tasty as well. For the main course, I ordered the chicken fettuccine Alfredo. It arrived piping hot with steam rising from the plate, which is always a good sign. The sauce was rich and creamy without being overly heavy, which is tough to pull off with Alfredo--definitely impressive. We came in around 5pm, so the restaurant wasn't too busy yet. The service was attentive, friendly, and made the experience even better. Would definitely recommend for a satisfying meal yet classic Italian.

Fresh buffalo mozzarella with homemade crostini

We had the best meal we've had in years at Gina's. First - Stephanie is a class A server - she was attentive to every detail, knowledgeable and personable. The food was epic- the fresh shrimp gnocchi was made to perfection. Zach is an attentive assistant GM. This is our favorite local when visiting our son

Ask the Community - Gina's Italian Restaurant

Any gluten free options?

Yes, if you check their online menu there will be "GM" put items that can be modified to be gluten free.

Does anyone know if they use the same water for gluten free pasta as the regular pasta?

How long have they been at this location? Because I remember a great restaurant here in this immediate area back about 19 years ago that had great Italian food...can't remember if this is the place...

Gina's has been here in AG (Arroyo Grande) over 30 years. The original owners did sell it, but to their chefs! So honestly we feel it has only gotten better!

The soup was a little salty but overall really tasty. We also ordered the half salad (Thai salad) and slider. The beef was super tender and I loved the fried onion pieces in it. The fried mozarella was ordered to share. Super crispy and cheesy; perfect touch with their tomato crème sauce. We got their tiramisu and caramel cheesecake for dessert. The salads are big enough to split and share with someone else. They use Romain with the wedge salad, but they have the red onions, bacon, and cherry tomatoes along with crumble blue cheese. My favorite pizza is the meat lovers and I add cooked prosciutto. The small is plenty with one person and the large is good for two or more. They have a great patio adjacent to the building and live music on the weekends. You can order drinks inside or at the horse trailer barn on the patio. They have a decent selection of beer and wine. Save room for dessert. They have a nice selection of gelato, tiramisu, and Cannoli. Looking forward to the next visit. Cheers!

Our pizza order came out quickly as well as the servers were always asking if needed anything? Can I take that for you? Can I get you another refill? So you don't need to walk up to the counter. There were two girls who were very on top of things. The main debate at the table was if the complete floor was dirt or not. It looks like dirt. After all it is in a basement. I kept digging with my foot to see there was flooring which I never found. Mark stated the health dept wouldn't let them have dirt floors. Dave said "there's flooring he felt when we came in". Michele the said "it's ground up peanut shells". We finally gave up and changed the subject. I still think it's a dirt floor which adds a lot to pizza joint and its theme. It's cutely decorated with an alaskan themed which oddly fits. Honestly this place does not disappoint in taste, portions, service or fun. We've eaten here three times now over the years on our visits for Marks golf tournament.

Rarely do I walk away from a dining experience where the quality of service and quality of food fight to outshine one another, but this was one of those spots. Our server, a German gentleman, was the consummate professional- always friendly, never overstepping, and added such a warm dimension to our meal. The fried green tomatoes and the white beet appetizers were standouts. I especially loved the vinegary dressing on the greens of the beet dish. For mains, we got the leek olive potato pizza, the ribeye, and the wood fire poached halibut. The avocado chimichurri that accompanied the ribeye was the perfect balance, and the sautéed greens under the fish were savory with the right amount of bite. I also liked their selection of mocktails; the pink pony club was a particular standout. All this for $200 was a better price tag than I was expecting, but most importantly, it got the stamp of approval from my notoriously picky grandmother and uncle. This spot is worth the drive.
