    Melted Shrimp Tacos (3)
    Allen K.

Parking at this restaurant is in the back. Decided to order the tacos after seeing them on other customers' table. I'm not really a fan of seafood tacos but these were delicious. Came during lunch time and the service was somewhat slow(only saw 3 workers at time). Definitely try the melted shrimp taco if you go here.

This isn't the kind of place you come to for the ambiance - it's very bare bones. However, the halibut and the fish and chips were both done well and were very fresh. Wait time wasn't so bad on a weekday afternoon. Friendly server wasn't overbearing either but checked in on our table just enough. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here, but it's a solid stop along a road trip.

I somehow ended up at Grover Beach, which I rarely do, so I looked around for places to eat and came across this restaurant. Arroyo grande is really just nxt to Grover beach. When I arrived, it wasn't too busy. The indoor space felt a bit stuffy, so I chose the back patio like most people. Without heating lamps though, it did get pretty chilly if you're just in shorts or tanks. I mainly came for oysters since I needed an iron boost, and they were pretty good. The rest of the food didn't really stand out to me--I had the halibut taco, which was light and healthy but nothing special. The service, however, was very friendly. I ended up coming back two days in a row, and the staff even remembered me, which was a nice touch. For parking: if you enter through the front, there's street parking right outside. If you come in from the back ramp, there's a small lot available which is only accessible from fair view dr.

Best fish tacos I've ever had. We also ordered a seafood tower that was exceptional. Staff was nice and restaurant was very clean. Cover patio was excellent

Just stopped by here for dinner at our favorite halfway point from LA to the Bay bc I was craving seafood and we were not disappointed! Food was so fresh and amazing! We were a little worried when we saw that they weren't busy... but they sure surprised us. Waitress was very friendly. We ordered the oysters, seafood pasta, seafood boil, fish and chips, and the bone in ribeye. Everything was amazing! Especially the steak. We've been having a lot of bad experiences with steak at the restaurants lately and this one was thick and cooked to perfection. Medium rare and perfectly savory! Hubby and kids said this is there's newest favorite spot in pismo. Check them out.

We were checking on Yelp for a fish restaurant. We found Blue Seafood and Grill. The food was excellent. The service was excellent. Our experience was excellent. I had the halibut fish tacos and my husband had fish and chips. They give you a lot of food. We could barely finish our meals. I highly recommend Blue. It's not fancy but the food is worth the money.

Wow, we were looking for someplace different than the old standbys. Plus, we didn't want to deal with the parking of midtown Pismo. We found Blue Seafood & Grill on Yelp and it is outstanding! Hands downs the best shrimp tacos ever. The flavors work together to make you want take bite after bite. The fish and chips are good and the sub dirty fries were loaded with garlic, Parmesan and truffles. We will definitely be back.

I made reservations as usual, and we were the only people there. We sat in the back because it was cold inside and there were heaters outside. Dulce again was our server. It was right after Thanksgiving and I'm assuming not too many people were out to dinner. When we left there were 2 other couples inside. First off the only reason I gave a 3 was due to the fact the service. We received water right away and I ordered a glass of Curran Grenache as I really like it. We sat for a while then finally ordered. I was hoping the clam chowder, pretty good, would come out prior to the food, but no. So we're let our meals cool while we shared the clam chowder. My halibut tacos, we're just right, not too spicy and very good. My husband had the fish and chips, great and I helped with eating the fries (chips). We were done and then just waited and waited. The bill came and my husband put his card out and then we waited again., over 10 minutes. Finally we got up and went inside to pay and everyone working, were just talking in a group. So we paid and left.

OMG, the food was amazing! And for the comments that Debbie R and Gilbert R made, this is a family owned business and I'm sure there was a reasonable cause as to why the wait was longer than anticipated. The food was unparalleled to any other place I've had seafood boils at! The manager Joel was very warm, family friendly, kept a smile on his face and he was really respectful in the way he instructed the servers. We will no longer eat this type of food in Pismo as my wife and myself have found our new hidden gem here in Grover Beach!

The seafood here had me so surprised! I got their Fish & Chips (sub: dirty fries), half dozen grilled oysters, and half dozen raw oysters. Everything tasted so fresh and delicious. The fish was lightly battered and piping hot, fries weren't overly salty or crispy, grilled and raw oysters tasted so fresh and some of them were huge. Their outdoor patio is very clean and dog friendly. Overall, the food was amazing even though it was a bit pricey. I'd definitely come back here!

Our server didn't ask us what we wanted to drink so we never got a drink only water. The shrimp tacos were bland and not the greatest, the quesadilla especial was good, and the cantina burrito was also pretty good. The decor was nice you it's spacious and has outdoor seating. While exploring the nearby businesses of the hotel we were staying at, we decided to stop for an early dinner. The place looked quiet, and even though there were very few patrons, we had a short wait before being seated. (This was the first red flag) The restaurant is structured nicely with an open facing entryway to the street, allowing the sun and breeze to flow. The problem, is that it was difficult to admire the interior of the restaurant without ignoring the noticeable spiderwebs and cobwebs in the ceiling and rafters. If I can see them, then I know they can see them. They do however, have very nice indoor and outdoor patio seating, with several tv's throughout. We were served complimentary chips and salsa shortly after we were seated. The chips were light and crispy. The salsa? Awful. Very thin and runny, with absolutely no flavor. We had to have waited a good ten minutes or so before our drink order was taken. Upon taking our drink order, I also placed an order for chips & guacamole. Our waitress was friendly, but curt. After tasting the salsa I chose to play it safe and went with the chile verde enchiladas, and my wife went with the combo plate with a chicken taco and enchilada. By the time we placed our second drink order it was blatantly obvious that our waitress had completely forgotten about our order of chips and guacamole, which was confirmed when our meal arrived. I will say that the margaritas were outstanding, maybe one of the best I've had. To my surprise, the chile verde enchiladas were actually really good. Nice texture, good flavor. The rice was bland and flavorless, and I'm convinced that the black beans were straight from a can. Lacking both flavor and/or seasoning (They weren't even hot) and equally plain. My wife's meal wasn't any better. The chicken was super dry served on a sad and raw tortilla. The beans...disgusting slop. If I had any doubts about whether MY beans were canned, I had absolutely no doubt about hers. These beans were so undoubtedly canned I'm surprised they didn't still have the impression of the tin can on them. No seasoning, no flavor, and lukewarm at best. Enough is enough. I couldn't wait to pay my tab and make a swift exit.

Highly recommended were the butter beef tacos & the fish tacos, which respectively are right up my husband & my preferences. I got a bottle of Tejava- peach was offered as cold & regular was warm, I opted for peach & although it came from the fridge, it was warm. No biggie. Food comes out & visually the fish tacos look like some tex mix version- beans & corn with chunks of grilled fish on top. Husband said they were okay, but the fish kept falling out of the tacos because of all the other fillings & he didn't like their tortillas. The butter beef was..not great. Really greasy, to the point I didn't quite finish the second out of three tacos. Tried to soak up some of it with a napkins to no avail. & agree with hubby, tortillas not great. The best of the night was the potatoe tacos- crispy shells with smooth potatoes, lettuce, tomatoes & cheese. Guacamole on the side was good. Don't think we'll be back.

I waited 45 minutes and paid $6 dollars for this piece of crap (will attach a pic) i got the vegetarian taco, which you would think they could at least add some cheese to it for flavor but nope. Also, for a place called "The gril", you would think that the vegetables WOULD actually be grilled, but no, they were not. The rice was dry, and the beans had no flavor. I literally could not eat it and left half of it there. My server felt so bad she insisted on not taking a tip. So because of this crappy company, my server did not get a tip. I would have insisted, but I didn't have cash, and she would not allow me to add a tip to my card charge because she knew I waited 45 minutes for a fu*king vegetable taco ‍ Honestly, I think they screwed up and forgot, because there's no way it should have taken that long, and she knew that....she kind of flinched and grimaced, and she said "I'm sorry, I think they got backed up" and kind of rolled her eyes as if to say, I think they fu*ked up, she even said quietly to me "I think maybe they forgot". This was for the live music event on Friday, 6/19 at Claiborne & Churchill. The music was great, The servers/ wine stewards were amazing, but the food was horrible. At least my taco was. if I ever see La Parilla serving food again anywhere I am, I will not order anything! BLECH. Oh, also I asked for no onions, and they couldn't even get that right. In one of my pictures, you will see onions that I pulled aside on the plate. I could have pulled aside more, but I was wolfing down what I could after waiting 45 miinutes for a frigging shit*y vegetarian taco that was crap when I got finally got it. NOT worth the wait. No cheese, no sour cream, no guacamole....just dry rice, flavorless beans, and a few pieces of bell pepper, plus onions - which I asked to NOT HAVE. What a pathetic, underflavored, overpriced taco. Ironically, I drove by Hannah's tacos food truck earlier, and I should have just bought some tacos from them. They are, I think $3 per taco, and 10 times better than this crap was
