I went to a late lunch at Ginger at the suggestion of my college student. I didn't really know what to expect. The concept is kind of like an Asian food version of a Chipotle, where you select elements to be added to your bowl-- a base, protein, veggies, toppings and sauce. I chose lo mein noodles as my base, steak, broccoli, edamame, onions, and shredded carrots. I added teriyaki sauce and was given a packet of Yum Yum sauce when I picked up my freshly stir-fried bowl. It looked and smelled incredible. I also ordered crab rangoons. My bowl was well-balanced and tasty. It was a good portion and combined with the rangoons, I was quite full. The dining room was large and a little disheveled, but I was there after lunch time- around 3 o'clock. There are numerous tables and the room is quite bright. There's an island in front of the counter with a beverage station, cutlery, napkins and other assorted necessities. Overall, this was a very good experience and I'd eat there again when I'm in Athens.

Ginger is fantastic for build-your-own Asian-style bowls. The service is fast, the food is fresh and flavorful, and the portions are generous. The interior is clean and welcoming, making it a great casual spot for a quick, satisfying meal.

Absolutely love this place. My favorite roll is the spicy tuna tempura roll, but I love the court street roll and athens roll as well. The service is very very very quick. Although it is typically busy, they handle a long line of orders very well. The bowls are also very good and I especially love the tofu. There is a lot of seating which makes it great for a small group.

Our friend recommended this place to us as we were driving by Athens! So happy we stopped! We came on a Sunday around 3:30 pm. Parking was free on a Sunday and we were able to get a spot very close to walking distance of Ginger. The place is a lot better than it looks like from the outside with lots of seating options. We were able to go up and order right away. It is create your own bowl so you are sure to like it! Love the options available. There are many vegetables and sides to choose from. I loved the noodles. I was sad that there was a limitation to some of sides you could have. But I loved my bowl. I thought the flavors were fun with lots of different sauces to choose from. I thought the prices were fair and that the portions were good. I left very full and happy! Would love to stop here again!

Doesn't look like much when you walk past it, but when you walk inside, it is such a beautifully decorated restaurant. They were plenty of places to sit and not feel packed in. the food was absolutely delicious and you get so much for your money's worth. It was good in price and was served out quickly. I would highly recommend stopping in here if you're ever around the area and I will definitely be back for a more!

I would give this place 1 more star if it wasn't for the fact that it is absolute chaos inside. Loud music, servers can't hear you so orders get messed up, servers aren't friendly either probably because they can't hear anything. Food wise - it was great! Had a build your own bowl & the dumplings.

amazing food very clean very nice staff. highly recommended. Good prices. Very courteous staff. You want a nice place to eat this is your place to go. if I could give 10 stars. I would.

Public Post About Authentic Cheesesteaks As someone…read moreoriginally from South Philadelphia, I just wanted to respectfully share something about cheesesteaks. A traditional Philly cheesesteak is not made with roast beef. Roast beef has a completely different texture, seasoning, and flavor profile. While it may seem similar, it's not the same thing. An authentic cheesesteak is made with: * Thinly sliced ribeye steak (or shaved steak / minute steak as an acceptable substitute) * Cooked on a flat-top grill * Lightly seasoned (usually just salt and pepper) * Chopped and folded together while cooking * Served on a fresh hoagie roll (Amoroso-style if you want to be authentic) * Topped with either Cheez Whiz, American cheese, or Provolone * Optional additions: sautéed onions (this is traditional), sometimes mushrooms or peppers depending on preference The key element is fresh shaved steak cooked to order, not deli-style roast beef placed on bread. There's nothing wrong with roast beef sandwiches -- they're great in their own right -- but calling it a cheesesteak changes the standard of what people expect, especially for those of us from Philadelphia where this sandwich originated. I'm sharing this respectfully in hopes that local spots consider offering a true steak version. There's a big difference in quality and authenticity, and people would absolutely appreciate it.

Absolutely love their spring rolls and Gyoza also! The dipping sauces are to die for! I tried a new roll..to be truthful can't remember the name right now. The waiter was very friendly and welcoming. They got all our drinks and gave us time to look things up. We spilled a drink and the were on it quickly. They made sure our table wasn't sticky. Very attentive staff. We also told the staff that it was my Dads birthday and he got a free chocolate cake that was really yummy according to all the kids the inside was really nice. Wasn't too bright, which I just personally don't like when I'm eating. It was dark by any means. It had a nice warm-ish feeling. There was an area inside where you could see the staff cooking the food. I thought they'd cook at your table but they don't. There's just a bar like area where they cook the hibachi stuff. They also offer sushi which I wasn't sure of. The food was really good. The kids even approved. The only down side was the prices. They were a tad bit pricey for me but, it is a really nice place to go to once in a while.
