Fusion is pretty good for Asian in Athens. Of course it's not authentic. This doesn't mean it sucks. It's good for what it is. There's lots of healthy options. Asian fusion gets made fun of a lot. It deserves this many times for pretty good reasons. The concept is played out. Maybe it's true, but sometimes you just want something that tastes good. That's why this place gets people to return. It's not authentic. That's okay. I had the pad Thai with tofu. It's about $10 for a bowl. The noodles were cooked all the way. Service is kind of slow. Try calling ahead and picking it up. The general Tso was sweet and crispy with the perfect amount of spice and sauce. The lo mien was pretty solid too. The service was quick, with free delivery. I can't speak for the ambiance or interior of the place as I only ordered takeout but I'll be back to see if their pad Thai is any good as I've been desperately missing pad Thai. Did some research and this looked like the place to go based on recent reviews (supposed new ownership, etc) Ordered delivery through their website. It arrived quickly - 30 minutes - and that was the only positive thing about this experience. General Tso chicken - not one single decent piece of chicken. Literally 200 tiny pieces of breading. I don't even think there was chicken. Just crunchy fried breading nuggets drenched in a sub-par sauce. Ew. Spring rolls - had this off-putting almost burnt gingery taste. Tough to describe. Just bad. The potstickers were much larger and more filling than anticipated but very flavorful. The pad Thai was average at best, not the best I've had but it was fine. The sesame chicken was very crispy and we enjoyed it more than the pad Thai. Would be willing to go back again and try some more of their large menu. I've been ordering from Fusion for years. The food is ok, but nothing to write home about. Their pad Thai is kind of weird tasting in my opinion, so I wouldn't recommend that. Their fried rice is my go-to and their fried fish burritos are pretty good too. The crab rangoons have wayyy too much cream cheese and they're a tad bit sweeter than I'd prefer. The general tso chicken is also too hard and crunchy. The sesame chicken is just the genre tso with sesame seeds thrown on it (bs). This place has a lot of negative reviews from 2014. Since then, it has been purchased by new owners, and honestly? It's an underrated treasure of Athens. It is not authentic Chinese food, but there are plenty of other options in Athens for that. It's something rather unique: homemade Asian Fusion with local ingredients. They are part of the 30-Mile Meal Movement, and use only local steak and eggs, and herbs when available. Everything is made by hand: spring rolls, dumplings, and their stellar crab rangoon are hand-rolled and folded. Sesame and General Tso's chicken are hand-breaded. Even the vanilla syrup in the smoothies is homemade! It's truly incredible to watch Tony and Abbie (the new owners) create this food. As of 2017 they are offering new sushi burritos, *outstanding* chicken wings (crystallized with Amish honey), and a sushi-inspired steak pizza. Give this place a try. They are very open to customizing a dish to your liking, and they deliver to a 5-mile radius. It's been awhile since I've had really good Asian foods. Especially since being in California. Upon walking in, the greeting was the first good outstanding thing. A friendly, welcoming, hello. No feeling of being rushed to order, and hearing a few suggestions. I wasn't entirely sure on what to get, so I went with the suggested lunch special and was incredibly pleased. Everything from the appetizer to the meal was superb. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone. Even told my girlfriend we would have to stop by here again soon. The only thing better than the food was the price point! I've eaten at more expensive restaurants and received much much worse food!
