I ordered the General Taos lunch special. The total was under $10 so I wasn't allowed to use a card to pay for the meal. The food was like a just passable meal. It came with fried rice and an egg roll. The fried rice was the type that you get in this type place. It was yellow and it had a few pieces of carrots and peas. I don't understand how they call it fried rice when it doesn't appear to be fried at all. The egg roll was a bit greasy but it had a good flavor. The chicken was the typical fried nuggets with the orange colored translucent sauce. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here but if I were hungry and they were close I might try a different dish. read more

Terrible! We ordered Hunan chicken, which is a spicy dish, it was bland. The chicken was not raw, but the vegetables were undercooked. We had the house lomien, it was made with thin spaghetti noodles and had almost zero pork, chicken or shrimp. The pork egg rolls had no pork in them. There is not sit down service. The dining area is gloomy and looks like it is being used for storage and babysitting. Two young girls came out of the kitchen in their pajamas and a teenage girl was at the counter for pickup orders. What happened to Ginger Asian! I had heard that it was bad but was not prepared for the horrendous food! My friend and I went around 3. First, they don't give table service. You order and it is prepared as a carryout which you can eat there if you wish. I didn't mind that. But the horrible food! I ordered orange chicken and she ordered Moo Goo Gai Pan. We each took a couple of bites and almost gagged! The combo meal came with an egg roll which was inedible. I also had the California roll sushi. It was ok. About as good as gas station sushi. My friend had the Miso soup which she left. It was awful. Our 2 meals cost $40 and we left them on the table and walked out. Save your money and go anywhere else! I'm really bummed out because this used to be our go to place for Chinese food and we enjoyed it. The restaurant has changed ownership and sadly it's not good. The fried rice is more like butter rice. The oil they are cooking in is old and it gives the egg rolls a burnt taste. The Orange and Sweet and Sour Chicken was very, very dry. It was like eating day old Chinese food. The Beef/Shrimp fried rice had just tiny pieces of beef and the few shrimp that was in it were cocktail size shrimp. I will be surprised if this place is open a year from now. I wish it would have never changed ownership! I order here frequently for work. The food is good. I usually get their Wonton Soup and the Mei Fun or a Lo Mein dish. I used to get their Yaki udon, until it started to give me trouble. Now I just stick to the first 3. The portions sizes are generous, and their soup is very good. RETCH ALERT! This place has the dubious distinction of dishing up the worst Asian food I've ever encountered from coast to coast. We got take-out and almost everything was inedible. The meat in the wonton soup had a stench that warned me not to try it, the beef (with broccoli) and chicken (moo goo gai pan) had been pulverized into slippery slimy slabs, and the fried rice was a gummy mess I could barely swallow. Tried the kani salad, just a mess of surmi, too few cucumber bits, a slightly spicy mayo dressing. Meh. As promised I tried the Kung Pao chicken, well, not up to my standards. Toned down for local tastes there were no dried, red/black chilies, just a few red pepper flakes. Huge plate of food for the price, plenty of nice veggies. Sauce too oily and seems to be a standard on all their dishes. Grandma's sesame chicken the usual breaded and deep fried stuff with the same gloppy sauce, too many calories. I ordered general tso's chicken and i found a black hair in my food so i called them and told them about the situation and they said we can give you a refund...so i wait about 20-30 minutes for the guy to arrive and i eventually got fed up with waiting so i called them back a 2nd time and they said they were too busy to deal with me at the moment. I agree with my pal Ronan about this place. I've eaten there once and have ordered delivery twice. First off, props to delivering to my house in the middle of nowhere. I've been rejected by other establishments close to Ginger Asian - that I'm out of their delivery radius. Mixed results with the food. When we ate in the restaturant, the food was great. The pan fried noodles with shrimp and veggies was pretty fantastic. A little greasy. Huge portions. Steamed dumplings were pretty standard but good. I liked the pot of tea that my husband ordered. Yeah, it's just tea but I like being able to refill myself when I want. Service was quick and friendly. Casual atmosphere. Delivery was another story. It took about an hour and the food was almost cold when it arrived. I'll overlook that though (see above re: delivery). I ordered curry chicken. I have never ordered curry anything from a Chinese place so I was apprehensive. It had a little red pepper next to it on the menu. Spicy? No. I got bland, yellowed chicken. Boring. Next time, I ordered it and asked them to please make it very spicy. They did and it was much better BUT the chicken has a very bizarre texture. Almost rubbery. It can't be real. Tip: No matter if the little red pepper is on the menu, if you like the heat, you need to make that clear to them and ask for it. And I haven't been back since. That was a couple months ago. Everything was fresh, my girlfriend had a beef and scallop dish that was definately good but I think I'll stick to Chinatown for sushi. We ordered Shrimp and Lobster Sauce, and Pork Egg Foo Young. The seasoning was authentic and excellent in each dish. We usually judge by the Egg Foo Young dish and it was tasty, generous portioned with a delicate gravy. Our lunch was so good, we ordered the Boneless Spare Ribs, to go. This was a large amount with some broccoli and fried rice. The service was good and the establishment was neat and clean. I've ordered veggie sushi a few times from here since my review and every single time, it's covered in caviar. My parents took me here recently, even though I told them about the caviar issue and said there wasn't anything else on the menu I could eat. My Dad assured me he was friendly with the staff and would make sure it didn't happen that time. The sushi came out with caviar stuck all over the rice, even after my dad asked them to make it on a different surface. We sent it back. It came back out with caviar only on a few of the rolls. Which is better, but still gross. Even when I wasn't vegan, I didn't eat caviar. This isn't a language issue... the girl we spoke to was fluent in english.
