I hate to leave a negative review for RedBowl; however, this was probably the worst service and food I've eaten at Redbowl. The server was totally out of touch with the menu and how to put an order into the kitchen. I ordered an item and asked for it "extra spicy." She kept asking me if I want a number 13 and if I want some kind of pepper. I had a difficult time understanding her. I order this each time I dine here and never have had a problem. I finally was exhausted dealing with her and went over and explained to the manager what I wished. I thought he figured it out, but when I received my food, learned differently. The food was not the least bit spicy. The rice was stuck together in clumps, as if it had been in a bowl for some time. The temperature if the food was not a hot as usual. They had "love song radio" playing, like this is a romantic place. I will consider other options next time I desire Asian food. Sorry, Redbowl, you really let me down. read more

We ate at Red Bowl on a Friday night. Great service, friendly and fast service. Unfortunately something must be wrong with the soda machine because everything tasted flat. Best sushi I've had in the Winchester area! Sushi rolls were really nice and big and plump and full of fish - no skimping, appropriate amount of rice, and no veggie filler. Really nice. Loved it. And the price is good, too! We also tried the hibachi. It was fine, and it was a good portion, but it kind of felt like it was missing something... Like it needed a sauce to go with it, it was kinda dry. Still pretty good, just needs that little extra something to make it awesome. But again, the sushi is great! read more

Really no complaints. We came for sushi and it was fine. Color seemed a little off (dull) on both salmon and tuna, taste was ok, nothing to write home about but again not complaining. I need to find sushi locally that gets that part of it is the EXPERIENCE....think that comes from small things like black sesame seeds on the rice on the rolls, cucumber salad (or at least miso) before the meal, none of those things happened here. The food is run of the mill Asian fare. The service has been spectacular with every visit and they give my kids some sort of balloon at every visit, which is great. I haven't done the "make your own bowl" option and I'm looking forward to trying that. Sushi has been fine, miso soup has been fine as has the crab Rangoon. I got the chicken lettuce wrap bowl and found it one note, too salty, and I missed having all of the ingredients minced, the way a lettuce wrap would be. The art on the walls is lovely. Came here yesterday with my friend and it was actually pretty decent sushi with better prices than my usual sushi spot in Winchester while also being closer to my location so, that is a win for me. The hibachi was an odd situation though and with covid guidelines still in effect I almost felt they should just prep and make the food for you instead of you having to get yelled at to put gloves on to prep it yourself, but that's just my opinion. read more

Gosh, I have never had such bad sushi and hibachi before. We ordered takeout from here because we stay in a hotel near this restaurant quite often and had never given it a try. We ordered over $70+ in food for two people. Between the two dishes of tepenyaki hibachi and the spicy tuna rolls, we will never give this place a try again. The spicy tuna was warm, MINCED, and whatever ratio of sauce they're mixing their tuna with, they need to try a new recipe. It wasn't even spicy and there was zero flavor. I've never had spicy tuna like this and it's one of the easiest sushi rolls to make so that tells me a lot about what their specialty rolls are probably like. As for the tepenyaki, you'd think that a $15-17 dish per person could come with at least one yum yum sauce? Well at redbowl that's nuts. You must pay $1 for 1 to go yum yum sauce, even if you ordered hibachi. They also don't automatically include soy sauce with your sushi.... It's just wild to me that you can spend that much and once it's delivered realize that they skimp out on every sauce. You're left with the choice of eating dry hibachi and eating sushi without tuna or driving to the restaurant and asking for your sauces. Tacky as all get out for a sushi place. Excellent menu variety and very reasonably priced compared with some previous over-priced places we ate at on Long Island. Tried this place based on the good reviews. My wife and kids tried there vegetarian bowls. I had a beef and chicken bowl. The bowls were a decent size that will definitely fill you up. But as far as taste goes they didn't have much flavor. Maybe if you get the DIY bowl where you pick the ingredients and sauces yourself it might add more flavor. We also tried some Vegitarian sushi which pretty decent. Overall the food was just ok......nothing to write home about. The severs were attentive and friendly. The prices were about right for what you get. I might try this place again if I can get the wife to come back but she wasn't too impressed. read more

Lovely atmosphere! The lights were low and the music was a good level and mostly just current popular hits. Service was quick and attentive and at the end of the meal, one of the littles at the table got a cute little koala headband thing. It was awesome. Food was incredible. The sushi was excellent! I got the california roll and Oh My God roll and both were very good. Definitely some of the best priced food as well. The gyozas are incredible as well, and the miso soup is what you would expect.
