It was nice to sit at their picnic table to eat especially since it was so warm out. The only awkward part was that they were so close to the main road, and I felt like I was on exhibit. It's customary to slather this up with some hot sauce and it is DELICIOUS. For about $7 you can combo it with some very ordinary fries from the freezer and a soda. I've been grabbing these by the handful for years whenever I have out of town guests and they never disappoint. I'm less impressed by her chourico so I just stick to Bifanas. She'll offer you a loyalty punch card that you should grab to earn your free sandwiches. Like any good food truck you'll find a small line of people out front on any given day in any weather. Don't just drive by her on the rotary in the center of town, stop and get your Bifana on!

The market is in a parking lot behind 50 Payson Avenue and during the summer it is open on Sundays from 10-2. There is plenty of parking on the streets that surround the market, or in the park across the street. It's a "Producer Focused" market, meaning that the vendors are expected to "grow, raise, produce, or create their products themselves, or they will provide unique products that represent other local farmers". There was live music on site which was a nice addition to the vendor booths that offered local vegetables, fruits, meats, seafood, dairy, eggs, grains, nuts, flowers, wine, herbs, crafts, clothing, and specialty products. We saw one food truck on site, from the Wicked Whisk.

We stopped by an art booth which provided kids the opportunity to make a cool craft. It was a bird feeder using a cake cone and a string of Cheerios on a pipe cleaner to act as the holder. This was a very creative idea! The gal running the booth was great and she gave our little friend a bag of bird seed to place inside once we returned home. I also stopped by the Creme Bru.LA booth because I freaking love crème brûlée. I sampled 3/4 flavors: maple, earl grey, and sweet corn. All so tasty! Last weekend, we attended my cousin's 60th birthday bash in Rhode Island. Her partner and sister…read morehosted the event and used Shuckin' Truck (along with two other caterers) to provide the food. The party was held outdoors in their pretty yard under a tent. Shuckin Truck was an absolute hit! They set up the outdoor raw bar...clams (littlenecks), oysters, and shrimp on ice, in a very attractive manner. The table was manned by a charming "shucker". There were an assortment of passed hors d'oeuvres which included lobster grilled cheese lobster triangles...these were indescribably delicious. Everyone was oohing and aahing over these. I also loved the smoked salmon on toast and the small cups of really tasty clam chowder. All the appetizers were incredibly delicious although I would say the lobster grilled cheese was the biggest hit. All of the staff were polite and friendly. After the appetizer round, the lobster rolls came out and they were simply spectacular. They were true New England lobster rolls on toasted square edged (this is key) frankfurter buns, and absolutely stuffed with chunks of delicious lobster meat that had been lightly dressed with mayo. Those rolls were out of this world, deliciously prepared and very generously filled with sweet lobster meat. They also served fabulous fish tacos. For the non-seafood eaters of which there were none at this party, they served a pulled pork taco which was spicy and delicious. The portions were generous and the food just kept on coming out. While there was plenty of additional food at this party from other vendors as well as some homemade additions, Shuckin' Truck was my favorite part of the overall feast. Great job! I would not hesitate to hire them for a party or to seek out the food truck wherever it was parked!

We walked in probably fifteen minutes before their closing time, and still we were treated exceptionally well by the owner, he really made us feel at home. My goal was to try as many items as possible so we got the fries, the Israeli salad, the original falafel sandwich, and the lentil soup which we all sampled off each other, and there really wasn't a single item that we didn't love. The star however was the falafel sandwich. It was incredibly flavorful, full of the Mediterranean spices you'd except from an authentic dish that hasn't been toned down to cater to the american palette, and I loved it; every single bite. I have to add that even though I didn't load a picture of it, I had also ordered the house made chai latte which the owner was kind enough to add almond milk instead of dairy, and that too was really good, I recommend that as well. For me, the cherry on top of this wonderful food experience was that they have games; yes like board/card games. My brother and I relived our youth playing connect four while we waited for our food, and I can't reiterate enough what a wonderful experience this was and I definitely plan to return.
