    Susquet stew
    J M.

I was extremely pleased with Ginger. The food was very delicious, well-priced and generous portions. We had two dishes tonight. The first was the Chicken Tikka Masala, which came with Indian rice and was served in a thin pastry bowl. The flavors were very good and the chicken was plentiful, considering the price was just 9.15 Euro. The other item was the Suquet stew with monkfish. The menu says it comes with clams and potatoes, however I did not detect any clams. Regardless of the missing clams, there was a nice portion of fish and the potatoes and sauce were delicious. The price was also relatively low at 13.75 Euro. Service was good, although we had a ten minute wait at the table before a server came to us.

The meal i had here was included in my tour group package, we got to choose from a selected menu, i chose the risotto with fried garlic and olives and Hake loin with tomato confit, and a caramel custard (flan) for my dessert. The risotto was perfectly done, nice and creamy all the way thru but not mushy, i usually find them under done in most places. I was nervous about ordering the Hake because i don't really like tomatoes. I do like spaghetti sauce and all that stuff so i figured i'd take a chance, since my other options were pork and chicken and i was in the mood for fish. When it came out it was a very simple presentation, just the hake in a very thin tomato sauce. But after one bite, it was all good. The sauce was slightly sweet and not acidic as tomatoes can be, it was a perfect way to add a nice subtle sweet flavor yet still let the fish come thru. I found myself slathering the fish in the sauce before each bite. The caramel custard was delicious, nice and silky smooth and had a nice caramelized taste to it. Yum! I looked at the menu, it seemed pretty reasonable for what you get, you could easily get a good appetizer and entree for less than 20€. Nice atmosphere, good portion size, and reasonable.

Truly overrated. Bad service. Bad food. Disgustingly filthy floor in the dining area. Have a pic of floor but doesn't appear that I can attach it. Don't waste your time with this restaurant.

The space is elegant and enormous. I could have been back home in NYC and not known the difference, except for the significantly cheaper prices and much more generous portion sizes here. For under 30€, I got the sheep's cheese salad, the chicken cous cous, a water and soda. The cous cous could have used a tad more seasoning, then again I was not in a Moroccan restaurant. Overall, the menu offers a great variety with almost unfair pricing considering how much food you get for how little you pay.

Sitting in the middle of the pedestrian walkway / plaza for a rest.

Do not go to this place. The food is bad and is matched by the equally poor service.

It was so reasonable that I decided to give the server a 5 Euro tips (which took a bit of convincing for her to take it).

What stuck with me was that food is what you'd get in top-notch Michelin-starred restaurants but the atmosphere is far from those aloof feelings typical of those places, on the contrary, it's warm and feels like you're in your casual local bar with your best buddies. What is greater than having 5-star food but being relaxed enough as if you were at a friend's house? The service is attentive and friendly, the servers are patient and professional. They take their time to explain anything you might need and make proper recommendations. The plates are on a smaller size, so if you have a big appetite you will have to order quite a bit, however, every single item was a hit. Each dish is creative, with perfectly combined flavors, nicely balanced, textures on point, and the presentations are stunning. A work of art comes to your table every time. It's difficult to suggest individual dishes because I can say that everything is fabulous but the Ceviche was something supernatural. Don't forget the cocktails! They are another experience in themselves. Same standard of beautiful presentation and great flavor combinations to choose from. This hidden spot deserves more recognition than it has. Hard to sing enough praises for them and I will be thinking about this experience for some time.

Arrived 15 min before opening and there was already a line. Made it in on the first seating which was great. Was asked to visit their bar first as they slowly made their way through bringing people in to the restaurant to dine. Felt pressured ot order a drink, which I didn't really want to, so I didn't like this flow of entry to bar, to restaurant. Fortunately the drinks were tasty and very theatrical. Was eventually escorted into the restaurant. Seating is like a giant oval around an open kitchen. Energy is electric, loud, stimulating. Almost feels like your dining outside in a street food alley with neon signs everywhere. The food consisted of fusion and/or modern interpretations of street food classics from across Asia, and other parts of the world too. Highlights for us included the crudo japo-mexican de salmon and chili crab concha blanda. We did find that there was a high degree of citrus and thought that the tako de pulpo was a bit too acidic. For the bun cha shawarma, the noodles were okay but the beef burger and crispy Vietnamese rolls were yummy.

The Techno music is loud so just be aware of that. I loved it and couldn't stop dancing in my seat. It is first come first serve. Regis told me to go as soon as they opened. Even then, we got one of the last seatings by the bar where all the action is. It was so much fun seeing all the chefs and sous chefs shouting and working in harmony. Our server was amazing in recommending many of the dishes and drinks. I also got a kick out of their cool straight jacket chef's attire. One word to describe the food here; it is very avant-garde (Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, Japanese, Thai, Singapore). Our favorite dish of the night was the Vieira Asada (scallop with a green sauce). Honestly, I don't think you will go wrong with any of the items on the menu. Love how they describe each dish as they present it to you. I also never had the bartender come by and take the time to describe the drink in great detail. Truly an amazing unique meal from start to finish. I do recommend that you get a bit dressed up. And don't forget to take a fun selfie on the leather cushion swings. 10/10 Experience

Picked this place because I liked the idea of a Japanese twist on tapas, which I think is exactly what this was. They had a great selection of unique Japanese cervezas and many intriguing items on the menu so I was satisfied in that respect. My favorite thing here was probably the Yakisoba in "pad thai" sauce (which was more like a very sour, bitter generic Asian sauce). Although the ramen noodles they served with were uncooked, the warmth and spiciness of this dish hit the spot. We also got the tuna katsu which was pretty bland, the wagyu skewer which tasted too vinegary, and the chicken skewer which was covered in a sour guacamole/pico de gallo-like spread. The chicken skewer was pretty good. For dessert we didn't papaya tart with yuzu sorbet, which was delicious. The service was attentive and very helpful in guiding us through the menu in English. The waiter did not seem to acknowledge my spouse throughout the course of the meal though, which seemed strange (e.g. didn't offer to refill her water glass). Overall I thought the food was good quality and it's a solid place to grab a bite, but nothing was really memorable and I think there are better options in the area.

We tried to order items off the menu posted on the wall (like a crispy pig trotter), but they informed us that we should order from the laminated menus they handed us. The food: Recommended without reservation Beef Cheek Sandwiches - everyone agreed these were the best thing we ordered - mini sub sandwiches with flavorful and tender beef with some picked onions Creamy Red Shrimp Croquettes - we had so many Jamon croquettes on the trip, it was nice to see this variant Cheesecake - this really hit the spot after dinner. Served with a few small dollops of raspberry puree and chocolate crisps. The texture reminded me of Japanese cheesecake, being a little fluffy in the middle. Recommended - Butter Fish Tataki with Seaweed Salad - served sashimi-style with something that tastes like the Chinese BBQ (sa cha) sauce. Tuna Tartare with Avocado Ice Cream - I thought this was fresh and tasty. The avocado ice cream threw me off as it was weird eating on its own and a little too sweet to eat with the tartare. Smash Burgers - 3 small sliders with a little bit of a kick Tomatoes "Origen" Style - part art, part food. This was a reconstructed tomato with the filling being a ton of cheese and the outside skin being a sugar cured tomato. Hard to describe, but the tomato part is half way between fresh tomato and a sweetened fruit leather.
