i don't think i could've had a better experience. my first ever Brazilian wax after been shaving for literally my whole life. so yes i had some sting but absolutely tolerable and the sting lasts for 2-3 seconds. Let's just start by saying I have had plenty of Brazilians in my life before I usually Pop an ibuprofen and plan to have no plans for the evening after... But my last waxer burned me one to many times and I decided I couldn't go back and trust her with my umm lady bits any longer! The search was on! Went in because of reasons too detailed to give here. Needed my back done, so added in butt and shoulders as well. Sabrina greeted me kindly and I immediately felt at ease. I am very insecure about my body hair, and my body, and to get completely naked in front of strangers I just met is very difficult and awkward. Sabrina made me feel nothing but safe and welcome. We chatted during the treatment, laughed a lot. She was warm and kind throughout. I do feel it necessary to mention, I had no idea where to go to get this done. I recently had my eyebrows done by Caroline and she was fantastic! She welcomed me as soon as I got there and showed me around. I didn't really know what I wanted in terms of eyebrow shape and she was able to make some recommendations and give us some starting points so I could give feedback throughout. I don't normally leave bad reviews but I came recently, as I've been coming to Gingerly for almost a year, and got my brows done and specifically requested them to be full. I have two pencil thin eyebrows now that are short with both ends cut off that will take weeks to grow back. It made me genuinely want to cry. I didn't even notice how small they were until I got to my car. Very sad because I had previously great results coming to Gingerly. read more

It was my first time getting a Brazilian wax done by a professional after a bad self-done wax by myself several months ago (which hurt like a beetch). I had an appointment today, and at first maps took me to a location in South Park so I was 5 minutes late when I meant to arrive early for paperwork. The whole experience felt odd and uncomfortable. My waxer was very nice (I forgot her name but she is incredibly pretty with great tattoos!). I have about 30 tattoos and complimented hers and I feel like that started us off on the wrong foot, he response felt odd. We kept talking but the entire suite could hear us based on the location of the waxing room (right by the door with an open ceiling. My results seem great so far, and I'm in great health, but the way I was asked about my body and to move seemed not very conscious of my size. She asked me to look at my hair when I could not see over my belly, it was odd. I've been waxing for years and haven't had an experience like this before. No hate at all to the waxer, it just doesn't seem like they had seen bodies like mine before. I could have sworn I had booked sugaring but when I got onto the table with my pants off the artist told me she only does hard wax. I'm sure it's my mistake but the website was confusing with all of the options. I thought I had picked the right one! The hard wax was not too bad but much more rough than I'm used to. All was okay, however, the worst part was the upsell speech on the way out. I just wanted to leave and the receptionist (who called me multiple times when I was 5 minutes late, which I understand can throw things off, I apologized profusely, but still was out well before my appointment time was over) she kept her speech going on and on and I no longer felt like a client at that point just a number. This is by far my favorite place to go for waxing! The staff is so friendly and sweet. I go to Taylor for brows and she does an incredible job, I never have a complaint. Also today I went in for a Brazilian for the first time and Taylor made the entire experience incredible. She explained everything about the process and answered any questions I had. She also kept a conversation going the entire session so I wasn't left thinking about the pain. She also didn't make anything feel awkward or uncomfortable, which was extremely nice since I was half naked lol. I have been going to Ginger at Gingerly Wax for over 10 years. When you find a good esthetician, you don't let them go! Ginger and all of her staff are excellent at their waxing skills and it is as pain-free as they come (and I have had some painful ones in the past!).
