I am writing this review as one of Lauren's students. I have been interested in taking a full body waxing course for some time now. A lot of the waxers near me are hard waxed focused and I am a soft wax user. I met Lauren at a Brazilian waxing summit a few years ago and saw she was offering full body waxing classes. We stayed connected on social media for years and every time I had a question she would be gracious enough to answer any questions I had. I had the opportunity to take her waxing course this past week and wow was it everything I wanted and more! We started the day with some delicious Cava, and answering any questions that I had sent her ahead of time of different situational and applicational struggles I had. Lauren really tailors the class to your needs so I appreciated that aspect so I really got the help in the areas that I really needed. We then proceeded with he actual practical application side and I had such a wonderful experience and learned so much about the wax placement and the different techniques when waxing different limbs. Lauren is so skilled with her application, removal process and has insane speed. All of her clients raved about her and were super kind and encouraging to me. Whenever she had a correction to make, she always did it in a respectful and helpful way so that I could immediately catch my mistakes and correct my technique. Having this help and feedback in real time is priceless. I feel so much more confident being able to do full body wax services. I am so thankful to Lauren for her instruction and direction. You know, I've been meaning to come here for awhile now. I have a good number of my coworkers who are loyal clients of Lauren for waxing and eyelash services for a good several years to date. Lauren is the woman who will take great care of you and is also the business owner of Splendor Wax Studio. FINALLY, my time had come and I scheduled for the Elleebana Lash Lift, eyebrow and lip wax service. I was greeted with a warm welcome and after initial talk of expectations and outcomes, Lauren got right down to business. I have very fine lashes and the end result of the lash lift looked great on me! Lauren kept me in tune of what she was doing every step of the way and also discussed lash aftercare. I have since used regular mascara and my lashes look fabulous! As for my brows, I wanted a more fuller and defined shape to my brows. One side of my brows were thin where the other side was more thicker. There wasn't really a shape to my eyebrows. I've been winging it with a brow pencil and hoped for the best. I wish I had taken a before photo but believe me, it was a hot mess. Lauren and I discussed and she created a shape for me that best suited my face. I've been so accustomed to "thinner" brows for so long, I'm kind of digging the fuller version that Lauren had in store for me. I see her again in a few weeks to follow up. The studio is located in the middle of Rio Sur Complex and the staircase leading directly to the studio Suite 310, is in the middle of the complex. The studio is very chic, clean and comfortable. A detailed instruction is sent before the appointment to ensure you don't waste your money. Wipes are also provided to use before waxing procedure begins. From before you even walk in up until the moment you're done Lauren is AMAZING! I found Splendor through Groupon and was able too book a Brazilian for the next day (a Sunday by the way). This was my first Brazilian and Lauren advised me to take a couple ibuprofen before. She also texted me with instructions the day before telling me how to find her office and to remind me of the appointment. Her front office is so cute and cozy! She has candles burning and it felt like I was at someone's home rather than a cold salon or something. The decor and environment definitely put me at ease. I was in and out in a bit under 30 minutes. During the wax Lauren made me feel really comfortable. By the way I think there's a foam topper on the table you lay on so it's super comfortable. She chats with you while she's working and it didn't feel awkward at all. She's really personable and at the same time let's you know when you should take a deep breath.
