    Oreo cheesecake

I'm not in Sharpsburg very often, but I was craving a calzone while passing by, so why not give Gino Bros a try? After all, there aren't too many pizza shops in Sharpsburg when compared to other areas in Pittsburgh. I got their regular cheese calzone (build your own) and the Oreo cheesecake. The calzone was very good. When I first got the box, I felt a little disappointed with the portion. However, after actually eating it, the portion was okay for the price. There's definitely other places that give better bang for your buck, though. It's $13 for only 10 inches. The crust was lovely. It had a great dusting of cheese on top. Plus, I love that it was still a bit crispy when I got my order. The crunch elevated it. There was a fair amount of cheese inside. A bit heavier on the mozzarella and provolone and less ricotta than in other places. Tomato sauce was inside the calzone but didn't make it soggy. It was on the sweeter side and there wasn't too much of it. The dessert was definitely not their strength. It tasted like a very standard food service cheesecake, not a delicious, creamy homemade variety. It was oddly bland and lacked the sweetness I expected; plus its texture was a bit off too. The crust was okay, but I would recommend skipping dessert (especially since this was $6). All in all, this was a great calzone. It was a bit smaller than in most other places, but it's high quality. If you're in Sharpsburg, it's worth a try. Just order dessert from somewhere else.

A great local pizza place that serves as one of my favorite bars as well! Staff is awesome and food is always on point! Highly recommend the wedding soup, Buffalo chicken pizza & tiramisu!!

I do really love this pizza! They have great options and a variety of items on there menu all of which are delicious. I've been several times and will continue to order from here as it's the best in sharpsburgh. Only reason it's not a 5 star is the bottom crust is never crispy. Not sure if the toppings are too much, but if your looking for a hearty pizza this is it, not NY style.

Their pizza is SO good, juicy, flavorful, fresh!! My husband is a picky pizza 'conosoir' and he loved it too! Clean premises, friendly attentive staff, and good prices as well. We'll definitely be back.

I have eaten at Gino's several times, mostly because it is close to my work (as this area is not known for a vast selection of eateries), they deliver, and I never pay. See we collectively order from here (the Office) whenever there is some type of special event, IE corporate peeps in town, special meetings, or things like the never ending bi-annual inventory when the boss will buy lunch and demand you get enough to cover dinner...yikes Anyhow, Gino's is ok. Pretty basic fare. They have your typical subs, pizza, fried apps, wings, some pasta dishes and salads. I have tried several of their pizzas, specialty and the regular ones. I have also tried their salads and once got a gyro. The gyro sucked, straight up sucked. It was more or less a few pieces of mystery meat in a pita. Small for the price and the pita was hard. The salad (only have had the tossed) was very basic. Iceberg lettuce, some slices of red onion, a cucumber piece and a pepperoncini. The tomatoes they use are awful, they have never been in season, I throw them away. But the best part is their Italian dressing. It is some of the best I have had, and it is (I am told) homemade. Really, really good. I would buy bottles of it. Pizza, eh hit and miss. The buffalo chicken is a favorite at the office. Spicy but not too much. I have had the veggie, meat lover, BBQ Chicken, and other toppings. Again it's ok, not much to say either way. Overall not a bad stop especially in this little burg and even more so when you don't have to open your wallet...

I have to unfortunately say although the food is 'good: pizzaria delivery food, it is NOT worth the $24.00 I was charged for a steak wrap and fries. I ordered online and tipped online as well. When the food arrived I was told a tip was needed so I did. It's my fault for not disputing that. I didn't realize I paid $24.00 for a wrap the size of my fist and cold dry fries The wrap was originally $9.00 but got bumped up a couple dollars due to asking for extra meat. The fries were $5.00. the tip went way out of control and that's my fault. I also can't begrudge that tip going to a person who may need it. The price of the food for what you get is moreso what I'm referring to. I could have had fine dining for $24.00. I'll never order there again. Even without the tip snafoo the food is way overpriced. You be the judge. The food is good but nothing special. Definitely not worth the prices regardless of tip mix up.

Its a decent serving size for an appetizer. I enjoyed it. The nachos were surprisingly tasty. When they came out I was unsure about them because any other time I've ever ordered a loaded type nacho they're, how do I explain it, more colorful I guess. Usually its like bacon and American cheese, guac, pico, etc., but these were just shades of white and green. I wish I could've finished them but the portion was quite a bit for 1 person. My only gripe would be the chicken. It reminded me of the meat you get in a launchable. I think I would rather prefer a crispy diced chicken. But that's just me. The other 2 didn't have any complaints about the Rival Stix or the burger. The Chicken Tenders were said to not have much flavor in the breading. The person who ordered them didn't care for the breading. I was also tempted into some sort of creme brulee donut I think. It was really good but I was already so stuffed from the nachos that I couldn't finish it. Its for the sweet tooth folks. The general space is all sports themed as expected. Quite spacious. Seems like the perfect place to come after work for a beer...and nachos!

The burger was juicy and the Rival Sauce was some kind of aioli that added some zip to it. The fries were crispy but not overcooked. The Great White Hype pizza was basic. Nothing outstanding, but not bad either. I have been to this location three times and I would say the food has been hit-or-miss. Service has also been spotty. During lunch (my first trip), our waitress was very attentive, drinks were consistently refilled, and our food came out promptly. The second time, I had to flag down our waitress quite several times to get anything. Nothing to complain about when it comes to the prices. Everything is standard and they have some solid happy hour offerings that extend until 6:30pm while others start after 7pm. On a scale of 1-5: Food - 3 Service - 3.5 Price - 4.5

Bocce. Not the most popular sport, but honestly a nice lackadaisical, recreational sport that accommodates all types of people. The facility is pristine (probably since it is relatively new)... but it hopefully stays this way! Six courts with different colored sets of balls. The carpet is smooth and rolls well with excellent foot paths and seating areas. The extras make the experience feel very professional with lane timers, measuring tapes, ball racks, and score keeping methods. Even down to the rules laid out including my favorite.. "No swearing in English" The bar area is also top notch! Self serve beer taps and wine taps (these are the coolest). Just tap your card and they have siphons that pull your wine right from the bottle.. and chilled glass coolers to enhance your experience. A dock for a food truck to pull right up to! They served us multiple pizza types (pepperoni, white, margherita, and pesto chicken), wings (honey barbecue and original), and french fries. They more than accommodated our group with ample refills of the food and a plethora of to-go containers at the ready to ensure that we took everything home! I grabbed an Orange Crush from the bar and it was refreshing with a strong amount of alcohol. The bartenders are used to their Italian crowd, so they aren't messing around. They also have a cigar lounge, party room, merch store, slot games, and a clear Italian pride. The logo and decor is strongly covered in the Italian flag.

We stopped in on a Tuesday night and opted to sit at the bar since it wasn't busy. Something important to note is that when we arrived, the music was playing softly in the background. While the prices were decent, the service was not. Our waitress came over to us after our appetizers arrived, I asked for a refill, we made eye contact, she ignored me, and turned around. It took another ten minutes before I was able to get a refill, and she never asked again for the rest of the time we were there. The people sitting beside us arrived later and ordered similar food to us, and they somehow received their food quite some time before ours came out. I am almost certain the bartender forgot to put in our order. Halfway through our meal (which was okay at best), someone turned the music up so loud that we couldn't hear each other speak. I'm pretty sure "Brandy, You're A Fine Girl" played three times in a 30-minute window. It felt like we were intruding on a private party despite there being maybe seven other people at the bar. Despite clearly being done with our food, it took us another 30 minutes to get our checks. If you're looking for cheap bar food and don't mind repetitive music at varying levels of volume and being ignored by your bartender, give Sidelines a try.
