We chose this restaurant as they have gf pizza. We ordered the caesar salad with gf croutons to start. Absolutely delicious. My daughter ordered chicken parmigiana and a side pf pasta. No lie, the entire plate was full. Gigantic portion. I ordered the salad and grilled shrimp. Very good. My granddaughter ordered the gluten free pizza and it was delicious! I read the outstanding reviews for Gioia Italy, saw the extensive gluten-free menu, and was very happy to see the dedicated gluten-free kitchen space within the restaurant to ensure the food isn't cross-contaminated, so we decided to take a car ride to Hallandale Beach during our trip to Fort Lauderdale to give them a try! The staff were very friendly and attentive, and the patio was really beautiful to sit outside for a relaxing lunch. The pizza was good, but the crust was not exactly what I hoped for - it was crispy on the bottom and chewy instead of a soft dough like you'd expect in a Neapolitan pizza. The margherita also had a bit too much cheese and not quite enough sauce (some was absorbed by the crust) for my preference. The barista was not overly exciting but professional. Took my $3.50 "shot" next door to Crema to compliment my sandwich. It was a tiny offering at the bottom of the cup but very tasty and strong. My friend who is Gluten Free could not stop raving about this place so one day we decided to go. When I told them I wasn't GF but she was they brought out two bread baskets one for me and on GF for her. I have the impression that everything can be made or is GF which is really nice as there isn't a lot of restaurants that cater to it. Now I have traveled all over the world and had Pizza so not to toot my own horn but I know a good pizza. We ordered a GF (which I was sceptical about) pizza the one with fig jam, bacon, arugula and cheese as the name has slipped my mind. It was one of the best pizzas I have had in a long time and probably one of the best ones down here in Florida. So if you do find yourself ordering a pizza you might not want to share because it is so good and you will want to take the rest home for a midnight snack. The staff was super friendly and attentive. What an incredible, delicious meal! I found the restaurant on Find Me Gluten Free and was excited about the plethora of GF options on the menu, especially different pasta varieties. We visited during the early evening and were the only people in the restaurant so got quick service, and our server was attentive. They have a totally separate GF prep area which is amazing! Paid $7 extra for Burrata which was SPOILED tasted sour and fermented and we tossed it. The pizza was super average. Every time we picked a slice; the entire toppings slide right off. Went here to celebrate a birthday. The place has a sleek, minimalistic look to it with both indoor and outdoor dining areas. The staff is very friendly and the place seems to be a very authentic Italian restaurant. We ordered some appetizers that were very tasty with high quality greens and cheese. The restaurant also has many gluten free options including bread and pizza. It's a great place to go for gluten free food. The gluten free bread was very good. I ordered a risotto dish which had both pork and mushrooms. I had to send it back because it was too salty, but the server assured me that they can fix it by adding more water. I couldn't fully understand him with his Italian accent. However, when he brought it back, it was a lot better, but something I wouldn't order again. So, all in all a high quality authentic Italian restaurant with a huge gluten free menu, but also non gluten free dishes. We went with friends who has Celiacs and she was immediately comforted when she saw the SEPARATE KITCHEN for gluten free dishes. We ordered 4 different pizzas, calamari, and house bread all GF! It was my first time ever coming here so I didn't know much about their menu. I asked the server which pizza was his best. His suggestion was okay but I was fascinated with their seafood pizza. After taking one bite, the pizza wasn't good. it was soggy and lacked flavor. For the price of $60; including tip. You'd think otherwise. I simply asked if I get another pizza instead. After a bit of discussion. I was told, no. I left the pizza and walked out. As someone who has no issue paying for their food and also tipping for a take out order. I was disappointed with my experience. the least they could've done was given be a cheap pizza but they couldnt even do that. I will NEVER be back. This was our first time at the new location. We love the convenience of the parking out back. We sat at the bar and had the lovely Alex wait on us. She made me the most delicious espresso martini. I asked to have vodka pasta that isn't on the menu but they still made it with some added fees but it was great! The ribeye steak had great flavor.
