Here is a cleaner, more direct version that reads better but still gets the point across clearly. I placed an online order for pickup that included two salads with chicken and a large pizza (half peppers and half cheese). The order was paid for online. When we picked up the food, both salads arrived without the chicken that was supposed to be included. The pizza was also incorrect and came fully covered with vegetables instead of half peppers and half cheese. My daughter called the restaurant because she specifically wanted the salad with chicken. She even offered to come back to pick up the chicken that was missing. However, the manager told her there was nothing they could do. He mentioned that he would comp the meal, which was not what we were asking for--we simply wanted the order corrected. Unfortunately, that was never done either. The only item in the order that was correct was the penne bolognese. Overall, it was disappointing to have multiple items wrong in the order and then not have the issue properly resolved. . read more

One thing that I can be sure is the consistency of the Sicilian Oven restaurants in the Fort Lauderdale area. We have been to 4-5 of them and all of them have a great staff, good food and decent prices. This last time we got some items from their lunch menu. I went here on a Friday afternoon and it was bustling, which is a good sign to me. There was a small line waiting to get seated. Our waiter, Joshua was very pleasant. I ordered a Garlic Rosemary Loaf, The Captain Pizza (pepperoni, sausage, and meatballs), and Shrimp Palermo over Pasta. The pizza and pasta dishes were ordered from the lunch menu. Everything was delicious. However, it would've been nice to include more that two shrimps in the Shrimp Palermo. Had I known that the dish only came with two shrimps, I would've been willing to pay extra for more, or ordered the same meal from the dinner menu. Also, while Joshua was very pleasant, he was also pretty inattentive. I'm assuming that this had to do with how busy the restaurant was. But he never came by to refill my water, nor did he ask how the food was or if I wanted dessert. I would still recommend this restaurant as the food is great. But if you order the Shrimp Palermo with Pasta lunch, be prepared to get a lot of pasta.....and two shrimps. read more

Sicilian oven was pretty good! We went on a Friday night and it was full but no wait for us, thankfully. The staff was nice and very efficient. We started with the meatball appetizer. It was very good. I'm not usually one for meatballs, but the flavor was good, the sauce and pesto were amazing. We paired it with an order of toasted Crostinis (essentially garlic bread kind of). It was a great pairing, very flavorful. If you're looking for pizza specifically, I'd go up the street to Frank Pepe's, personally. The pizza was just okay. The sauce wasn't super flavorful, the crust wasn't exactly airy, like no poofy air pockets in the crust. It wasn't bad by any means, it just wasn't anything special in my opinion. We'll for sure be back. Lots on the menu we'd still like to try but haven't gotten the chance too. Their pastas all looked really tasty and they had a good dessert selection too. All in all it's worth it for flavorful Italian food all around, but if you're specifically looking for the best pizza in the area I think there's better alternatives. read more

As if that weren't enough, "dayenu," we ended with their signature chocolate torte with whipped cream, "dayenu," a complimentary mini-biscotti, and a delicious decaf cappuccino! Per my wife's request, honorable mention goes to our appetizer house salad (with great ingredients and dressing). Even thought the ingredients of both dishes were specified on the menu with no prosciutto mentioned, I tried calling to verify, but no one pick up for 20 min. Both soup and pasta were filled with pork. I was vommiting 5 min after I noticed. Also how can they say that they make the food with "love" when the garlic bread was a tiny, burned portion that looked as if it was from a trash can. Delicious and great for families! I came here with my family during a weekend getaway. This place was BUSY and if you go during rush hours you should expect a little bit of a weight. Even as busy as they were, the host and the server were super attentive. The Sicilian salad, the pizza and especially the chicken were so fresh. I got the breaded chicken with the mushrooms and it was so crisp and delicious. I don't know their recipe but it was decadent, and the price is very reasonable. Hi, I'm leaving my review about Sicília. About two years ago, I got to know this restaurant, and I found the food super fresh, amazing, super tasty, and affordable. But for some time now, I've noticed it's gone downhill: I don't see it as full as it used to be. I used to wait an hour for a table; now I go every Sunday, bring friends, recommend it, but the service is terrible. Staff are rude, slow, totally different from before. Today, I went with friends, one for the first time. We ordered pizza and pasta, and the pasta only arrived after we had already eaten half the pizza. No water was served, the Coke never came. A bartender was extremely rude. We called the supposed manager, Carlos, who apologized and offered a gift card, but that doesn't justify weeks of bad service. The food is still good, but the service is awful. I used to recommend it a lot--today I don't recommend it anymore. They need to pay more attention. read more

We were visiting and stopped in after a long day of sight seeing. The place was packed and our wait was estimated at an hour. The service was friendly and professional with regular updates provided on wait times. Some groups waiting were getting frustrated and the staff always handled it professionally which was impressive. Our waitress was attentive and friendly and best of all the food was amazing and certainly worth the wait. We had the rice balls and three different pizzas. The crusts had the perfect amount of charred crispness and ingredients were fresh. The restaurant was clean with plenty of tables and a nice bar. My husband and I frequent this place at least one to two times a month for Wine Wednesday where they have half off wine bottles. We like to sit at the bar as the server Tom knows us well and is a great and fun server. If you're going for wine Wednesday the bar typically gets full quickly and Tom will then give you a number as it is first come first serve. Sitting at a table is another option if you like that. I didn't get pictures of everything we ate and we switch it up The bean and escarole soup is absolutely delicious The chicken wings are amazing. We usually start with the Sicilian salad which is really good and fresh. We usually get a gluten free pizza with veggies and no cheese which is surprisingly really good This time I cheated and got the pepperoni pizza which is sooo good here. The pepperoni is crunchy. Everything about it is good My only complaint is about the Philly steak sandwich. Quite honestly they can add more meat to the sandwich. It looks pretty empty and teeny inside. Let me say I'm sorry. Very sorry. If you have not been here yet you're missing out! The quick answer everything is good. The quick pick, get the wings and a pizza at least. For real everything is good. The pasta vodka comes perfectly al dente. The wings have a lot of flavor and come with caramelized onions and bread automatically. They soak them overnight and you can really taste it. They are juicy with flavor but not over cooked. Sometimes it varies on the flames and burn marks they pick up in the over. This is a must try dish here. Over tried about 5 of their different pizzas. Can't really go wrong with any of them. I will note watch out for spicy if you are heat sensitive. More elevated than a regular pizza spot but perfect for the casual bite. It smelled great so I sat at the bar for faster service and their menu has a variety of items to choose from. I came during happy hour and wanted to try the roasted artichoke but since they were out, the bartender suggested the mussels & cocktails were on special so I rolled with it. They did not disappoint! Monday night at 6:30pm We were 5 friends and we asked for a table and they told us that there was none available and that we would have a 15" delay. The entire restaurant was full of empty tables for 4 people, but they didn't want to add a chair for us. After 30" of letting everyone in who was 4 or less, we asked again for our table, and since we were going to leave, they gave us a table for 4 (which had been empty 30" back and sat us there) without adding a chair to the end, but instead pushing us so we could get into a table for 4. They make sure not to come to serve us until happy hour was over, and when we asked why the delay was theirs, they told us that they couldn't do anything anymore, to which the manager responded. The food comes without any side dishes and they don't offer any side dishes to add to dishes that aren't pasta like chicken parmigiana or eggplant parmigiana. The waitress was attentive but she didn't offer us dessert and she brought us the bill without us asking for it and I repeat, they still had free tables. The service from the hostess who laughs at you instead of talking to you, and even the manager are not recommended. With so many restaurants, I don't recommend going to any other one at all. read more

This has been my go to favorite hometown place for years, but I think I need to break up with you. You've gotten too crazy and too big and it's not even comfortable at this point. Sitting at the bar tonight, the service was just nowhere near what it should be, and putting too many people around the bar and making it completely uncomfortable to eat has happened several times and tonight was the last straw. I couldn't even finish my final glass of wine comfortably because of an extra seat being pushed in next to me making it just unbearable. I'm sad to say I need to take a break and not be subjected to subpar service and uncomfortable seating, I hope it gets better or we have lost our last great small town eatery in Aventura.
